Quick Facts About House of Nails
House of Nails is a salon in East Boston that offers nail and pedicure services. The comments provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the place. In analyzing the comments, we can identify several key strengths and weaknesses.
One of the strengths mentioned by multiple commenters is the quality of the nails and pedicures provided at House of Nails. One commenter expresses being "so happy with my nails" and another mentions that their dip manicure was done "super well" and felt natural. These positive experiences suggest that House of Nails has skilled technicians who can deliver high-quality nail services. Additionally, a commenter praises Mia for being quick, efficient, and precise, highlighting that the salon has competent staff members.
Another strength highlighted by commenters is the customer service at House of Nails. One comment mentions that the staff is kind, talented, and truly cares for loyal customers. This suggests that the salon has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, which can contribute to a positive experience for customers. Another commenter specifically praises the owner for being very nice, which indicates that the salon values good customer service.
However, there are also several weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One significant weakness is the issue of punctuality and wait times. A commenter states that their appointment was at 2:30 but they didn't get in a chair until 3:15. This delay resulted in a one-star deduction. Another commenter mentions waiting over 15 minutes for their appointment before deciding to leave. These instances suggest that House of Nails may struggle to manage appointments and may not prioritize timeliness, which can be frustrating for customers.
A recurring complaint is the higher prices at House of Nails compared to other salons. One commenter specifically mentions paying $100 for a dip manicure and pedicure, which is considered expensive. This can be seen as a weakness, especially considering that price is an important factor for many potential customers when choosing a salon.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the inconsistency in service quality. One commenter states that they used to love the place and even traveled from a different town to get their nails done there. However, the commenter mentions that their last two visits left them questioning if it was still worth it. Additionally, another commenter mentions that some technicians at House of Nails are inexperienced, which could result in subpar services. These comments highlight that House of Nails may have inconsistencies in their service quality and may need to address this issue to maintain customer satisfaction.
Hygiene and cleanliness are also a concern raised in the comments. One commenter mentions having gotten a foot fungus after a pedicure, suggesting that the utensils used may not be properly disinfected. This raises questions about the salon's hygiene practices and may be a deterrent for potential customers.
In conclusion, House of Nails has several strengths that include providing high-quality nails and pedicures, friendly customer service, and competent staff members. However, there are also weaknesses such as issues with punctuality, higher prices compared to other salons, inconsistency in service quality, and concerns about hygiene practices. Understanding these strengths and weaknesses can help potential customers make an informed decision about whether House of Nails is the right salon for their needs.

Pretty clean, my appointment was at 2:30, didn’t actually get in a chair until 3:15 (1 star off). Nails and pedi were perfect, prices are a little more expensive than other salons, for dip and pedi I paid $100 with a $10 tip on top.
So happy with my nails! Will be going back.
Just wasted $45 on a dip manicure, would not recommend. Very bulky and un shapely nails, technicians seemed to be inexperienced. The sides of nails aren’t even covered in color.
Update **I used to love this place, to the point I was ok driving from Brockton to East Boston to get my nails done. Unfortunately The service have fallen short. My last two visits left me questioning if it was worthy anymore. Today I decided after waiting over 15 minutes even thought I had an appointment that I needed to leave to get my nails done at a different place. This second place was not better but they got me out the doctor faster.
Sadly this is not the first time this happens, I don’t think I can give them another chance.***
I love this place. I moved and I still travel from Brockton to East Boston to get my nails done! Kathy is a rock star!
Mia was great, she did my dip manicure super well and not bulky or too thick so my nails felt more natural. Very quick too. Also did my eyebrows. She was quick, efficient, and precise. All for a great price too.
I love house of nails! No where in eastie does service like them, they are so kind, talented, and truly care for loyal customers. Never been disappointed :)

I love the owner. She’s very nice.
If you have no other option. Go there BUT ask for either the guy. The lady at #4 I think her name is Dian . The rest of them are very inexperienced .
