Quick Facts About K African braids
K African Braids has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned is the speed and efficiency of the braiding process. Several comments highlight that the braiders were able to complete their desired hairstyles in a relatively short amount of time. This is seen as a positive attribute, especially for those who may have busy schedules or limited availability.
Another strength is the positive customer service experience. Many comments express satisfaction with the friendliness of the staff and the owner. This is important for creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for customers. Additionally, the owner took the time to understand the customer's preferences and provided a wide range of hair color options to choose from, which demonstrates their commitment to meeting individual needs.
The expertise and skill of the braiders is also acknowledged in some of the comments. Customers appreciate the quality of the braids and the fact that their edges were not pulled too tightly, causing discomfort. This suggests that the braiders are knowledgeable and experienced in their craft.
However, there are also some weaknesses pointed out in the comments. One recurring issue is the cleanliness of the shop. One customer suggested that the shop should focus more on maintaining a clean environment. Cleanliness is crucial in any establishment, especially when it comes to personal grooming.
Another weakness is the communication and organization of appointments. One comment mentions that the stylist was not ready for the scheduled appointment time and was still working on another client. Additionally, one customer expressed disappointment with the fact that the advertised hairstyle on the shop's website could not be done. This indicates a lack of clarity and consistency in communication between the shop and customers.
In terms of the quality of service, there were a few negative experiences. One customer had issues with the way their parts were done, stating that they were not consistent in size and shape. Another customer had their braids done differently by a second stylist, resulting in them being loose and falling out after just a week. These instances suggest inconsistencies in the work and lack of attention to detail.
One comment mentions a negative experience with a specific stylist, citing rudeness and belittling behavior. This reflects poorly on the professionalism and customer service of that particular stylist.
In summary, there are strengths to be acknowledged at K African Braids, such as fast service, friendly staff, and skilled braiders. However, there are also weaknesses in cleanliness, communication, and quality consistency. These weaknesses can impact the overall customer experience and may need to be addressed by the shop in order to improve and retain customers.
Best TL Reviews
I live out of state, but I was visiting my parents and wanted to get my hair braided. My mom Googled and found K African Braids. I am glad I got my hair braided here. The process was fast, as two ladies braided my hair.
I would only recommend that they focus a bit more on the cleanliness of the shop.
The owner was super nice and I’m quite pleased with my hair. First time customer because I’m new to the area.
They did my knotless so good and unlike some African braiding shops they left my edges out and finished in less than 3 hours. Will come back again????
Had an appointment at 1, but she was still doing another persons hair. After 30 minutes she asked what style I wanted and I showed her one from the shops actual website. She then says she can’t do that style. How do you advertise a hairstyle that you can’t do? I just walked out.
I have been searching for braiders in this area for about a week. Seeking other shops reviews. I decided to come to this shop. This was my first time being served at this establishment. I got Senegalese twist (medium size micro twist). They were ready to go when I arrived at my appointment. Asked me what colored hair I wanted and explained to them I wanted some light brown highlights. The owner wanted to look at the multi collection of hair color they provided and to choose from it. (They got all colors you would want). I informed them ( the owner and another stylist that were both working on my head) that I wanted them to be gentle and watch out for my edges. When I tell you that this is the less pain I have Ever been in. Of course it’s tight because they are braiding but not tight where you have to pop a pain killer. This is my first time getting twist and they are light weight. I have a lot of hair so this weight on my head is light compared to box/ individual I have had over the years from different stylist. It took them literally 3 and 1/2 hours to complete. She also asked me how I found her shop. I told her google and I chose this shop because of the reviews. Hopefully I can add pictures. Thank you.
Ami is super rude. I was a client of hers a few years ago. She did cornrows on my hair twice which turned out good. Recently, I discovered she frequents a place I work and she was so rude to me and belittled me. I’m sure she didn’t remember me, but I will not be going back to that shop anymore. I don’t get braids often, but when I do they will not be on my list. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Little did she know she just lost a customer.
I got my hair done the other day. The women are very friendly. They worked very fast. Overall, their service was nice, and my braids are nice. However, I am not happy with the way my parts were done. I asked for box braids, but I did not receive box braids. That is not the issue. After looking at my hair before leaving the salon, I was fine with that because from what I could see, they were done nicely. My main issue is that, after looking at the back of my head later on, I have noticed that my parts are not the same size whatsoever. In the front of my head, I have small parts. At the back of my head, the parts are maybe twice the size and not even a consistent shape as the front is. For the price that I paid ($180), my parts should have been done the same size and the same shape.
I got kinky twist , the lady was very nice who did my braids it was tight but it was good. Until another lady started doing my braids she did them so big and loose. I only had my braids for a week they are falling out half of my head looks like I had my braids for two months. My braids should not be looking like this. The last time they did my braids they last for 2 months with no problems. I really thinking about going to another braiding shop to get my hair done . I paid $150 for my braids and they are falling out never again. Very disappointed. ????????????
