Update: On our next visit in for a pedicure we were remembered and offered a discount on reference to the incident last time... They also showed me that they had updated the "mermaid polish display" with a price reference!! We were taken great care of this visit.
We visit this nail salon often for pedicures as they do give great pedicures! They also have a little bar and normally offer beer, wine, water, etc. (Sometimes you have to ask for this.)
My only complaint so far is that they upcharge for every little thing... I have learned that you have to ask if there is an extra charge anytime you make a request. For instance, I asked for one of the mermaid gel polishes from that "swatch board". I also got a heart design on my 2 big toes (which I expected would cost something, but I should've asked for clarification). When I finished they told me a price much higher than what I had anticipated. When he broke the price down it seemed like he was just calling out +$5 for this and +$5 for that. Frustrating. To me good business practice is informing your customer upfront of any extra charges or having them clearly posted.
Unfortunately the woman doing my pedicure cut the side of my toenail too short and gave me a very painful ingrown toenail. It's been about a month and it's still healing. Wanted to love it here based on the reviews and difficulty finding a good nail spot in north Bellingham, but my personal experience here was poor. I've been getting pedicures almost once a month for 10 years, and this painful pedicure-induced ingrown hasn't happened to me before.
I wanted to love this place based on all the great reviews but unfortunately it will not be my go to nail place. Pedicure was great but my dip manicure chipped less than 24 hours after having it done. Very disappointing considering the price I paid.
Staff is very friendly. They always do a great job and give you exactly what you ask for.
Loved it!! I did the special VIP pedicure and it was a solid 90 minutes of pampering, including complimentary mimosa!! The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and thorough and were very conscientious about making all of their guests feel comfortable and welcomed. I just did regular polish, but there's a huge selection of both regular and gel and the prices are very reasonable.
Anthony did my nails and wow i am blown away, I had a very unfortunate experience at another salon and not only were they so nice and professional here it was clean and he let me take my time to do what I wanted since this was a Christmas present to myself it meant a lot! Yhank you for your AMAZING service and best coffin nails I've ever had! ❤
Such a wonderful, professional, and friendly staff! They make sure all of your needs are met. I wanted to do a powder ombré color and they didn’t have the color available, but suggested another color and I loved how it turned out!
The owner, Anthony, is great! Awesome communication skills, lets me know when there’s an earlier availability when I set up an appointment and I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes.
Ahn (Ann) is who I usually see for my manicures, pedicures, or sets and she’s very friendly and detail oriented.
My new favorite and go-to salon!
