Quick Facts About Kung Fu Chinese Buffet
Kung Fu Chinese Buffet has received a mix of positive and negative feedback from customers. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant, we will analyze the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, customers praise the wide range of food options available at the buffet. The variety ensures that there is something for everyone, and it allows customers to explore different flavors and dishes. The stir-fried chicken is particularly highlighted as being tender and flavorful. This indicates that the restaurant pays attention to the quality of their ingredients and cooking techniques.
Customers also appreciate the affordability of the buffet, especially on weekdays. The price of £14.99 is considered a bargain, considering the variety and quality of food offered. This value for money aspect is likely to attract customers and encourage them to visit regularly.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is another strength mentioned by customers. They appreciate the fact that it is not crowded on weekdays, allowing them to enjoy their meals in a comfortable and relaxed setting. The availability of window seating adds to the ambiance and creates a pleasant dining experience.
The staff at Kung Fu Chinese Buffet receive positive feedback regarding their service. Customers describe them as nice, attentive, and quick to clear plates. This level of attentiveness indicates that the staff prioritize customer satisfaction and strive to create a positive dining experience.
Moving on to the weaknesses, customers mention a few areas for improvement. Some customers suggest that the menu could include a greater variety of duck and pork belly dishes. This indicates that the restaurant could expand its selection to cater to different preferences and offer more diverse options.
Another area for improvement is the service at the bar. Some customers mention that they had to keep going up to the bar to get drinks, and the staff wandering around did not assist with requests for napkins or cutlery. This suggests that the staff could be more proactive in fulfilling customer needs and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
One customer mentions that the quality of the food has been declining over time, with fewer choices available and empty food areas. This indicates that the restaurant may need to invest in improving the variety and quality of dishes to maintain customer satisfaction and encourage repeat visits. The lack of a functioning grilling area also raises concerns about management's prioritization of customer experience.
A cleanliness issue is raised by one customer, highlighting a lack of cleanliness and below-average food quality. This is a significant weakness, as cleanliness and high food quality are vital aspects of a buffet restaurant. Addressing these concerns should be a priority for the restaurant's management.
Lastly, one customer mentions feeling uncomfortable with a staff member following them closely while they were getting food. This raises concerns about the behavior and training of the staff, as it is important to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for customers.
In conclusion, Kung Fu Chinese Buffet has several strengths, including a wide range of food options, affordable prices, a pleasant atmosphere, and attentive staff. However, there are also areas for improvement, such as expanding the menu, addressing cleanliness issues, improving food quality, enhancing customer service at the bar, and ensuring staff behavior is appropriate and respectful. By addressing these weaknesses, the restaurant can enhance customer satisfaction and attract more customers to their establishment.

There is nothing not to love about this place, great range of food, super tender stir fried chickens I don't know how they do it, the majority of the food all taste great and at £14.99 on weekdays it's really a bargain. Can't find something like this anywhere else. Also it's great place to just chill in because on weekdays it's never crowded and you get to sit by the window. Staff is very nice and attentive as well, collect plates quickly once you leave your seat.
Good food and price. Really liked the rice and quality of the chicken dishes. Good selection of foods. More duck dishes would be nice and maybe pork belly. Crispy duck with pancakes was not nice though, dry and minced, and have to keep going up to the bar to get drinks, staff who are wandering around don't help if you ask for napkins or cutlery etc just point you to go back up to the front of the restaurant
Friendly staff. A large choice of dishes to choose from as well as desserts. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff keep your table clear of empty plates and glasses. Would recommend if you are in Kingston
I was quite contented and enchanted by main and dessert menus at Kungfu Buffet in Kingston Upon Thames.
Chinese and Asian foods were decent. Not too much salty and greesy on the one South Korean's/my standard.
Staffs are accommodating and good to help me when I tried to get a new cutlery. Toilet is fine to use.
In the UK, unfortunately visiting buffet restaurants is the best/ultimate option since British cuisines have still and not yet satisfied me on appetite and prices. I never have idea why British restaurants cannot be superseded buffets. Sorry, if British citizens are hot under the collar however this is undeniable fact for me and most people so I am not able to lie.
The quality has been going down for a while... The grilling area is out of order since 2020 (something so easy to fix but Management prefers to save instead improving the costumer experience). Food is exactly the same for the past 3 years ( or even less choices) Food area constantly empty and price higher. Something will need to be improved fast to have costumers coming back.
Staff is lovely and attentive.
They were good at replenishing dishes that ran out. Not the biggest selection and quality was decidedly mixed. Payment before you even enter the restaurant proper and see the food, not the best way of doing things. Desserts were good for kids, but not good quality at all. To finish on a good point, it was nice and spacious.
First of all found the cleanliness lacking and the food quality is well below average. The mussels were cold and rubbery, chicken bland and over done, pork salty and the soup was just vile.
There’s a general atmosphere of cold resentment, the management seems to treat customers with contempt, the staff seem to not like the management, and the customers find the staff’s service inadequate. And to top it all the prices have gone up. Not worth the time or money when there are so many other eateries around that do it cleaner, better and cheaper.
Food was great, plenty of choice. I loved the desserts! The only thing is, i felt like one of the staff ladies was following me/staying by my side very closely when I was getting food which made me feel uncomfortable but otherwise it was really good. My partner was impressed too!
