The woman at the desk Myrtle is the NASTIEST, unprofessional, lazy employee I have ever encountered at a hotel. She should not be working there or with the public. She has a horrible attitude, does not know how to talk to people does not want to work, does not clean rooms has the guests clean the rooms and put sheets on the bed when they check in. She put me in a room with no tv and no heat in the middle of January. Then when I spoke with her she told me I didn’t pay enough because I got a discount online. Like my money isn’t good enough discount or not. Then proceeded to make up lies about my child and my girlfriend! So not only rude and nasty she is being slanderous and did defamation of character on my girlfriend. She should be fired! And when I called to speak with the manager she told me to tell her if she can’t do her job correctly to pack her stuff lock up and leave and not come back. Well they should just fire her.
Positive: Location was very good! We could see the boardwalk from where we were. Everything was easy to walk to. Pool was nice. You get what you pay for. Staff was very nice. The AC was controlled by us. fridge & microwave Negative: The beds were hard as a rock. The whole motel needs an update. Wasn¿t the worse place I¿ve ever stayed. Just wish it was a little more homey and aesthetically pleasing. No towels in the room, we had to ask for them.
Owners were nice. Short staffed. No towels. We used our own. The pool area is mostly broken chairs and a pool with little water in it. No filter running. Closed at 9 pm. Bathroom shower was dirty. Someone’s hair still in the tub and sand. No lock on the giant sliding window and the door was jenky. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Little water pressure and barely any hot water. For 300 a night (4/5 blocks from the beach) I don’t think it’s worth the money. Very small room.
We couldn't find any cheaper rates in toms River but seaside height had exceptional rates under $ 70 when usually they are higher in the summer time But we just needed somewhere lay out head for the night,It was nice clean and friendly we booked through AARP and got an even cheaper rate So my husband was happy about that
I was a little worried after booking based on the review's, but honestly, the room was decently clean, and Myrtle was great and welcoming. It was a typical beach town motel, not anything fancy and gets the job done.
Positive: We were there for one night for a concert on the beach. Hotel was a couple blocks away. Location was good but everything else was like being in the show Fear Factor with Joe Rogan. Negative: I mentally prepared myself before entering the room since I wasn¿t expecting anything that good. It was something out of a horror film. Air conditioner had grime and dirt in the vents¿bedspread and sheets had stains all over them..bathroom had mold
Where to start, the pros its the cheapest hotel in seaside, rooms are decently big, majority of rooms have a deck, the lady working is a hard worker but has to much to do needa more workers, good location near center of boardwalk. Cons beds are very hard, some dirty parts of the room but majority of the room was nice and clean and smelled good, sheets are a no go bring your own and towels...and pillows and blanket just to be extra safe, owner needs a good joke didnt see her smile once but worked hard to make sure we got a nice stay.
The room is ok for its price. It needs a lot of improvements such as new TV, Bathtub and ceiling. It's decent considering the price and location.
