Quick Facts About LA Perfection Nails
LA Perfection Nails place has a mixed reputation based on the comments provided. To understand the strengths and weaknesses of the place, we will examine the comments in detail.
One of the main weaknesses mentioned by multiple commenters is the issue of overpricing. Many customers felt that the services were highly overpriced compared to other nail salons in the area. One customer mentioned that they were charged $50 for services that would typically cost $30 elsewhere. Additionally, another customer mentioned that they were charged $27 instead of the advertised $17 for a regular manicure. The overpricing aspect is further amplified by the fact that the salon expects tips as though they are performing a complex surgical procedure. These instances of overpricing and unexpected charges can be seen as significant weaknesses of LA Perfection Nails.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the poor customer service experienced by some customers. One individual mentioned that the staff did not apologize for their mistakes and instead blamed the customer for not following instructions to dry the nail polish for a longer period of time. Another comment mentioned that the staff did not properly communicate the different prices for pedicures, resulting in confusion and an additional charge of $5 for sparkles. These experiences of poor communication, lack of apology, and blaming the customer all contribute to a negative impression of the salon's customer service.
Hygiene is another weakness mentioned in the comments. One customer described the salon as having terrible hygiene practices and cheap tools. The mention of a rusted and old nail clipper raises concerns about the cleanliness and safety procedures followed at the salon. Poor hygiene practices can significantly impact a customer's experience and make them question the overall quality of the services provided.
On the other hand, there are a few positive comments about the atmosphere and staff at LA Perfection Nails. One comment mentions the great atmosphere, welcoming staff, and friendliness of the entire team. Another comment praises the new management and the efforts they are making to update and improve the salon. These positive comments highlight the potential strengths of the salon in terms of creating a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
Additionally, a few customers expressed satisfaction with specific staff members who provided excellent service. One customer mentioned that a nail technician named Van consistently provided great care and made their nails look beautiful. Another individual highlighted their enjoyment of the pedicures and the service received. These positive experiences with specific staff members indicate potential strengths in terms of skilled and attentive employees.
In conclusion, LA Perfection Nails has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The weaknesses include overpricing, poor customer service, and concerns about hygiene practices. On the other hand, the positive comments mentioned the welcoming atmosphere, the efforts of new management, and the satisfaction with specific staff members. Understanding these strengths and weaknesses can help potential customers make an informed decision about visiting LA Perfection Nails.

L.A. is under new management! If you like Elegance Nails in Dunellen,NJ, then you will definitely love this place too. The staff is very nice, professional & attentive to your needs. The salon has been updated inside with more to come per the owner. L.A. Perfection is worth trying!
This place is VERY overpriced and misleading on the cost of services. They use cheap polish and do not even include everything they advertise in their services. I came here with my daughter. We called ahead of time to all how much it would cost to soak off her old acrylics and put gel polish over her natural nails, they said $40 which is typical. But they did not soak her nails, they just jammed a plastic nail under her old acrylics and popped them off which hurt and damages your nails. Then they didn't use actual gel polish, they used poly-gel over regular polish and still charged her $40. I had decided to get a spa pedicure which is labeled as $42 on the sign. I checked in at the register and there was only an option for one type of spa pedicure. She asked if I wanted gel polish and I said no, just regular. I got my pedicure done and went to pay and it came to $63. I asked the girl why and she told me that there are 2 types of spa pedicure and the sign hasn't been changed yet because there is new management. I explained that they should notify the customers beforehand and asked for her to show me on the system where it says there are 2 spa pedicures. They said the system doesn't say the prices and it was a miscommunication with me and the lady who did my nails. I explained it wasn't, cuz they're was no communication at all about there being 2 different priced spa pedicures. They reimbursed me $13. They told me they charged the additional $5 because I got sparkles. I did not get regular polish underneath, I got solely sparkles. Had they told me up front it was $5 extra for sparkle polish I would've just gotten regular polish or gel polish for the same price. Not to mention she only put on one coat of polish and no top coat. She missed my nail in multiple places so there are sparkles on my skin and then spots on my nails with no polish at all. They charged my daughter $42 for her pedicure and she didn't get a spa pedicure at all just a regular one.
Plus, her nails were not filed evenly and they didn't even trim her cuticles. For $130 we both should've been able to get a full manicure and spa pedicures, with whatever polish we chose! If we wanted to tare her acrylics and layers of her own nails off and unevenly paint my toes with cheap sparkle polish we could've very easily done that at home.
They didn't even do much in terms of a spa pedicure. They put a mask on my legs for a couple minutes and wrapped them with plastic wrap and put a little lotion on my feet. But there wasn't anything extra or special about the spa pedicure other than maybe if they used a scented oil or something in the water. They didn't even do a foot massage!
The girl who did my pedicure did an excellent job, I was very satisfied with her service even though I was late and I couldn't get a manicure.
I’ve been going here for years and Van takes such great care of me and always makes my nails look beautiful! I so enjoy the pedicures too!!
My experience was absolutely amazing)!! I love the professionalism and the beautiful upgrades that are being made. The staff is very polite and the are extremely courteous!!!
Stay away from this place.
Nailtech did not want to use the color I chose. Nail clipper was so old and rusted. She used the drill too much my nails started burning and hurting. Poor service and poor quality.
