One of the strengths of Luxe Nails & Spa is the cleanliness and professionalism of the salon. Many customers mentioned that the salon exudes cleanliness and creates a relaxing and zen-like atmosphere. This is an important aspect of any nail salon, as customers want to feel comfortable and taken care of during their visit. Additionally, the staff, including the owner Amy and her husband, are commended for treating customers like family, which creates a positive and welcoming environment.
Another strength mentioned in the comments is the skill and talent of some of the nail technicians. Customers specifically mentioned Alex and Hannah as being great at delivering on nail designs and choices. This shows that the salon has talented technicians who can meet customer expectations and preferences.
The salon also seems to be accommodating when it comes to appointment scheduling. One customer mentioned that they are always able to get an appointment when they want, which is a positive aspect for those who prefer flexibility in their schedules.
However, Luxe Nails & Spa also has some weaknesses based on the comments provided. One of the main issues mentioned is the rude and disrespectful behavior of some of the staff members. There were multiple instances where customers felt uncomfortable and were treated poorly by certain technicians. This is a significant weakness, as customer service is essential in any business, especially in the service industry. The negative encounters with the staff can discourage customers from returning and recommending the salon to others.
Another weakness mentioned is the quality of the services provided. Some customers expressed disappointment with the results of their manicures and pedicures. This includes issues with poor nail work, such as broken nails and nails not matching from hand to hand. Additionally, there were complaints about the longevity of the shellac polish and the way it chipped or peeled off quickly. This shows that the salon may have inconsistency in the quality of its work, which can negatively impact customer satisfaction.
There were also comments about the lack of knowledge or familiarity with certain nail techniques or products. One customer mentioned that the salon seemed unfamiliar with dip powder, a popular technique in their hometown. This indicates a lack of training or exposure to different industry standards, which can be concerning for customers who are looking for specific services or techniques.
In conclusion, Luxe Nails & Spa has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The strengths include cleanliness, professionalism, and talent of certain technicians. However, the weaknesses include rude staff members, inconsistent quality of services, and a lack of knowledge in certain techniques or products. I was recommended to this place, and when I came in I was like thinking it’s lovely. It was when I sat down and they did a botch job —-and like someone said this one lady was really rude. Basically telling me if I don’t want service (which is not what I had said or even implied at all) then the lady has other appointments? I’m not sure how a simple conversation about what to do with my broken nail turned into I don’t want service? Yes, I didn’t want another acrylic after the painful experience I had a few weeks ago. Instead of trying to gain my business she was basically telling me the conversation is wasting her time. Then my nails came out terrible, I’m disappointed. I’m not sure I would come back here.
This salon exudes cleanliness and professionalism!!! Amy and her husband are the real deal! They treat their business and customers like family. It’s so zen every time I visit; I am fully relaxed.
Just this past visit, I called the morning of, Amy’s husband ( forgive me, I forgot his name) got me in the same day and made me feel so welcomed when I came. All the techs are happy, smiling and so very nice! I love this place !
Just here to show you guys my toes.. I paid 45$ with a 5$ tip, I didn’t talk to them much I was seen fast… the massage could’ve been longer but it was good for the most part
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. I had Kim work on me and she’s disrespectful. She didn’t do what I asked for and when I made a comment about what I didn’t like, she complained that “if you were to visit all of the nail salons in Dearborn, you wouldn’t be happy with your nails because you’re too picky”. I think if I’m paying over $100 for nails, I should be able to say whether I like them or not (in a polite way, of course). She gave me an attitude the entire time and made me feel uncomfortable for asking questions. If you want to feel satisfied after your service, then I highly suggest you don’t visit this place— or at least don’t ask for Kim.
Unsure who my nail tech was but at the end of getting shellac on my nails, she filed the tips down and by day 3 after getting my nails done the color was coming off the tips. By day 6 after getting my nails done and my polish is peeling off the rest of the nail as if I used standard nail polish not shellac. Will not be going back as I have never had this problem with shellac coming off this quickly before.
Alex was great. Always delivers on my nail designs or choices
Pic is matte #53 and holographic #43
Love Hannah, I always request her. Nice place, the massage chairs feel good.
Always accommodating an appt. I want. THANKS Luxe Nails!! Happy Customer, Gabriele
I guess dip powder isn’t super popular in this area - I’m in town visiting from Texas. They looked at me like I was foreign when I asked for powder. They applied a gel top coat and made me cure under the UV light which is not common practice in Texas. I get dip because I do NOT want to be exposed to the UV light. Aside from all of that they filed my nails down to nearly nothing & they aren’t even matching from hand to hand. It’s honestly embarrassing that I paid 55.00 for this.
