Quick Facts About Marisa’s Nail Salon
Marisa's Nail Salon has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the major strengths highlighted by a positive customer is the excellent nail work done by Damaris. The customer was extremely satisfied with their nails and praised Damaris' skill and ability to bring their vision to life. This indicates that Marisa's Nail Salon has talented and skilled technicians who can provide high-quality nail services.
Another positive comment mentions that Marisa's Nail Salon accommodated a wedding party and made sure to meet their needs and preferences. This demonstrates that the salon is capable of handling larger groups and providing personalized services to ensure customer satisfaction.
In terms of COVID-19 precautions, Marisa's Nail Salon was commended for implementing safety measures such as wearing masks, sanitizing, and installing plexiglass shields. This shows that the salon prioritizes the health and safety of both their workers and customers, which can attract customers who are concerned about hygiene in the current pandemic.
However, there are also several weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One major weakness is the poor customer service experience described by a dissatisfied customer. They had a terrible pedicure experience with a disinterested and clumsy technician who caused multiple injuries and did not listen to their preferences. Furthermore, the customer complained that their concerns were not addressed, and they were charged full price despite the subpar service. This indicates a lack of attention to customer satisfaction and suggests a need for improved communication and responsiveness from the salon.
Another weakness mentioned by multiple customers is the lack of hygiene practices. One customer complained about the salon workers constantly eating without paying attention to customers. Additionally, multiple customers described the reuse of tools without proper sanitation, such as Emory boards and manicurist tools, raising concerns about the salon's cleanliness and potential risk for infection. This reflects poorly on the salon's professionalism and adherence to health and safety standards.
Other weaknesses include unprofessional behavior by salon employees, such as badmouthing customers and vaping weed in the back. These instances further call into question the level of professionalism and quality of service provided by Marisa's Nail Salon.
Furthermore, poor attention to detail in manicure services is mentioned by multiple customers. They complained about uneven or messy paint jobs and nails that did not match their requested shape or style. This indicates a lack of attention to customer preferences and suggests a need for improved training or quality control.
In terms of pricing, one customer mentioned dissatisfaction with the cost of services, feeling that they were overcharged for their visit. This suggests that the salon may need to assess and adjust their pricing to better align with the quality of service provided.
In conclusion, Marisa's Nail Salon has strengths in terms of talented technicians, the ability to accommodate larger groups, and implementation of COVID-19 safety measures. However, the salon has notable weaknesses in customer service, hygiene practices, professionalism, attention to detail, and pricing. Addressing these weaknesses and focusing on improving customer satisfaction and service quality would be crucial for the salon's success and maintaining a positive reputation.

GIRLLLLL, Damaris did my nails and luckily took me in as a walk-in (she’s normally by appts only) and let me just say I have never been so in love with my nails!!!!! I literally had no idea what to do with my nails and she just asked me to pick a color and the rest is everything she envisioned ???? I normally never put any type of design on my nails, but from now on I want to!
The picture shown is my nails 3 weeks after (I forgot to take a picture of them as soon as I got them done since I’ve been on vacation) but they’re still so cute and holding up nicely! Her work is beyond amazing & she’s such a great person to talk to! ❤️
I've been coming to Marisa's for years, but today I went in and was given a very young gal as my pedicure tech, and it was the WORST pedicure I've ever had. From the beginning, you could tell she was disinterested in the job. She was clunky, clumsy, and rough. She never asked me how I wanted my nails in length or shape, she just grabbed a grinder and did what she wanted. Not to mention, who uses a grinder for a pedicure?! She knicked me multiple times with both the grinder and the other tools and made me bleed. I finally had to ask her to stop what she was doing, so I didn't even get what I consider a full pedicure because she couldn't effectively remove my cuticles without causing pain! she also dumped all the dead skin from my heels back into the water she was still having me soak in. I mean, I know it's my own skin but that isn't sanitary at all!
The "massage" was a joke, but at this point I just wanted her to leave my feet alone. Her paint job was a laughable...it's visibly buckled and there is paint all around my nails. it looks like a 12yr old did them. she didn't even take polish remover and clean it up!
The worst part is I complained. I showed the lady who was checking me out the disaster and told her about the pain that was inflicted. She laughed uncomfortably, seemed to look around for someone to rescue her, said a hasty "sorry" and charged me full price anyway. I rarely accept freebies anyway and that's not what I was looking for, but some customer service would have gone a long way to make this better. But, sadly...poor service, poor customer service follow up equals a lost customer! I will never be back here and neither will my 4 girlfriend who usually come with me.
We had an appointment with a wedding party of five. Marisa did everything to make sure our party was happy with our mani/pedi's. Even when the bride was not happy, she made sure to redo her nails and make them precisely what she wanted. She even told us we could come back to get any gems replaced that may fall off before the wedding. We left very happy with the results.
Marisa also made sure to take the COVID-19 precautions to keep her workers and customers safe: wearing masks, sanitizing, plexi glass shields, and even had masks for purchase at the front.
Just awful. Cut me not 1, 2, 3 but 4 TIMES! So irritated. I don’t know why I gave this place another chance. Do not come here. The workers don’t even pay attention and they are ALWAYS eating, disgusting. I should also mention they pass tools around like nothing, no sanitizing, nothing, just pass on for the next customer to use. Never coming here again.

But leave a good tip when your done. ????
i booked with ashley because i thought she was going to be amazing from her insta page. when i got to my appt today she was acting so disinterested, wasn’t paying attention. kept looking at the tv. she didn’t even bothering doing my nails correctly. it looked hideous. and once i asked her to just fix it, she started badmouthing about me to her coworker in spanish, not knowing that i could literally understand her!! i asked for a pedi and she didn’t do any washing or cleaning. just went staring to painting my nails. didn’t even do gel like i asked. never again!
This was not a great experience. It's dark. My friend and I went in together, there was no wait and thats where the best of this ends. The ladies that took us shared the manicurist tools on both of us with NO sanitizing in-between. Used the same Emory boards that had clearly been used on other customers prior to us on both of us as well. She also grated my fingertips (next to the nail and nail bed) dragging the Emory board against my skin leaving marks on my fingers. Asked from the beggining for exactly what I wanted and still had to get it corrected in the end. She even argued with me trying to tell me I hadn't asked for what I wanted when it was all I had talked about from the moment entering. Greatfully everyone else overheard my multiple requests, so she rolled her eyes and stopped arguing. This led to her grating my nails more with the emory board, now so hard the I actually had to pull them out and say ouch. My nails are sharp like razorblades and I have to re-shape them now, so I get to give my self a mani after paying for one. Also she attempted to leave them with half of the ends being diagonal, shooting of in different directions, then tried to say it was my nails. (When I went in they were all straight). The lotion massage was barely more than just slathering sunblock on a child and telling them to rub it in.
The other employees were definitely vaping weed in the back.
My friends nail tech had food and beverages all over her station. Also had a barbicide container (more sanitizer than my tech's station had) that the utensils never went into or out of. Her nails are all different shapes and had so much paint over the edges a 7 yr old could've done better.
We SHOULD have walked out SO MANY times. Why we didn't is beyond me. Skip it and do your own at home. Your nails will thank you.
Really bad nail place. Did 2 sets of Mani amd pedi. And total was $215
Th prices she gave me cake out to 205.
Definitely didn't leave a tip. 1st set was good. Myself sisters came out looking like a 5 year old was doing her nails. They didn't care how their employees were dressed. Crop top without wearing a bra as well. Definitely disappointed. Definitely not coming back
