Quick Facts About Metropolitan Barber Shop
Metropolitan Barber Shop has several strengths based on the comments provided. One of the main strengths is the quality of the haircuts provided by Tina, the owner. Many customers praise her skills and mention that she takes her time to ensure they leave happy with their haircut. This indicates that Tina is skilled and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
Additionally, the personal story of Tina being a "boat person" and escaping Vietnam with her parents adds a unique touch to the barbershop. This story resonates with customers and creates a positive and inspiring atmosphere within the shop.
The efficiency of the shop is also mentioned as a strength. Customers appreciate the quick service and being able to get in and out of the barbershop relatively quickly. The availability of walk-in appointments is also mentioned as a positive aspect, as customers can conveniently sign in and wait their turn.
Furthermore, the affordability of the haircuts at Metropolitan Barber Shop is highlighted. Several customers mention that they are satisfied with the results, especially considering the price. This indicates that the shop offers good value for money and does not try to upsell customers with unnecessary products or services.
Despite these strengths, there are also a few weaknesses that can be identified. One significant weakness is the issue of the shop being cash-only. Some customers express frustration with this policy, as it is not convenient to carry cash around and they believe that a business charging a sufficient amount should accept credit cards. This cash-only policy may limit the number of customers or lead to missed opportunities for the shop.
Another weakness mentioned is the negative experience some customers had with certain barbers. One customer mentions that they asked for a specific haircut but were ignored, resulting in a haircut they did not want. This lack of attention to customer requests can lead to dissatisfaction and potential loss of customers.
Additionally, there is a comment regarding the deleting of bad reviews, suggesting that the shop may not be transparent in regards to customer feedback. This could undermine customer trust and affect the shop's reputation.
In terms of the overall atmosphere, one customer mentions that a barbershop with one barber for three chairs is not keeping up with the times. This suggests that a lack of sufficient staffing may lead to longer wait times and potentially dissatisfied customers.
In conclusion, Metropolitan Barber Shop has several strengths such as the skill and dedication of Tina, the owner, the inspiring personal story, efficient service, and affordability. However, there are a few weaknesses including the cash-only policy, inconsistency in customer experiences, potential lack of transparency regarding reviews, and a need for additional staffing. Understanding these strengths and weaknesses can help the shop address areas for improvement and continue to build on its successes.
Best TL Reviews
I'm a 10 year customer and I go to Tina. She's a very nice Vietnamese woman who does a very good job and takes her time to get it right.
Once she knows you, ask her about her young life. She was a "boat person" and escaped Vietnam with her parents and eventually ended up here and now owns her own shop. It's a great story.
I've been going here for over ten years, Tina the owner is the best, she's very friendly and hands down gives me the best haircut. I'm always happy when I leave her shop.
This barbershop is a no-frills Golden gem. Tina does a fantastic job and gets you in and out pretty quick. Pro tip: remember to sign in when you arrive, to get your place in line. And bring cash.
Two stars because I've had one good haircut here, and one haircut where the barber used thinning shears on my already thin hair without asking. Will not be coming back.
I don’t understand negative reviews here. Maybe I’m a low-maintenance guy when it comes to my haircuts. I just like it short and tapered to keep my head cool, and I let them have their way with the details. I’m always satisfied with the results - particularly at the price. Plus, they don’t put obnoxious products in my hair, nor do they try to upsell me.
My brother told me about this place (it’s he’s go to barber). Tina is awesome and fast. She always gives me what I ask for. I get my haircut here once a month and wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Cash only business. They charge enough that they should be accepting credit cards. I bet the books don’t claim half the business here. I waited 30 minutes before I noticed the tiny little sign that said cash only. Plus the guy that just got his haircut looked unhappy. So being that nobody including myself likes to carry cash around, I left. Very impolite Chinese lady. One barber for 3 chairs! Get with the times here people!!
Never before has a barber straight up ignored what I asked for. I asked for a specific haircut, but she just did what she thought would look good. Took off way more than I wanted. Good thing hair grows back. If you don't care what your hair looks like and just want it cut, then maybe go here. Also, they delete bad reviews, so their average rating should be much lower.
