Quick Facts About Nail Expert One
Nail Expert One place, as evidenced by the comments, has both strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, some customers appreciate the owners Tommy and Wanda, describing them as great people who do good work. They have been going to the salon for years and find the prices reasonable. The salon also receives positive reviews for its cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. One customer had a very pleasant first experience, mentioning that Tommy did their nails to perfection. Another customer expressed satisfaction with the pedicure service, noting that the technician took their time and did everything as requested. The salon also receives praise for using the newest and best techniques in the nail care field.
However, there are several weaknesses pointed out in the comments. Many customers complain about the poor service they received at Nail Expert One place. One customer called the services terrible and mentioned that they would not waste their time or money on them again. Another customer experienced issues with the pricing, stating that the salon changed the price on them multiple times and even charged them for a manicure they did not receive. There are also complaints about the competence of the nail technicians, with one customer claiming that their technician seemed confused and another customer witnessing a technician severely hurting a client by shaving too much of their cuticles.
There are also comments about the quality of the services. One customer mentions that they find the services to be expensive for what they receive, especially compared to another salon in Wilson that provides similar services at a lower price. Another customer expresses disappointment with the manicure, mentioning that there was polish left on the inside of their hands. They also mention that the waxing service was not up to par, with hair remaining on their chin even after the waxing. Another complaint is about the nail filing, with one customer noting that their nails were filed slanted.
Another issue raised in the comments is poor communication and misunderstandings regarding the services and pricing. One customer called the salon to inquire about the price of a full set of acrylic with French tips, and they were quoted a price of $25. However, upon arriving at the salon, they were informed that the price is actually $40 because they also received gel polish and hand-painted French tips, which they did not request. This inconsistency in pricing and miscommunication left the customer disappointed.
It is also worth mentioning that there is a difference in opinion regarding the work of one specific staff member at desk#2. One customer personally did not enjoy their work, although they acknowledge that it might be great for someone else.
In summary, Nail Expert One place has received mixed reviews. While some customers praise the owners and find the services enjoyable, others have experienced poor service, pricing issues, and dissatisfaction with the quality of the services. Improvements in communication, pricing consistency, and the training of the nail technicians could address some of the weaknesses and contribute to a better overall customer experience.

Terrible services. Don’t waste your time or money. I definitely know better next time also get total amount in writing because this nail salon changed the price on me 2-3 times. Charged me for a manicure when I did not get one. The women that did my nails was all over the place (she seemed confused), by far the worse nail salon I’ve gone to in Goldsboro, not to mention they were not following protocol to cleaning the supplies used for their shop! If I get anything on my finger & toe nails I will do what I need to do. Can’t believe I saw such bad unsanitary nail salon. Save your $$.
HIGHLY disappointed at the service overall. Had two incidents happen, not including mine. First, a customer paid for something she did not get done when she had clearly stated it several times before the service was rendered. Second, a lady came in for a repair and the nail tech basically shaved off her cuticle to the point where the lady winced out loud & left. My experience is one that definitely needs to be said because I don’t want anyone else paying for what I paid for. I specifically asked the nail tech I saw if he (guy with the tooth necklace) could do this design (see pic). He stated he could, just not exact replica. Well I can understand not doing the same shapes but doing a COMPLETELY different design all together? He simply could’ve suggested another one of the nail techs but no. Did not tip & definitely won’t be going back.
It's nice but expensive for the service that I get. I'm paying over $100 each visit. The place I go to in Wilson is cheaper but more busy. So I settle but I'm there like 3 hrs and that's just too long. The service is good though but for what I pay it should be better quality
Always a 5 star rating for me. Tommy and his wife Wanda (owners) are great. Great people good work. Been going there for years and reasonable prices. The man that sits beside Tommy i hear does good work also.
My first visit was a very pleasant experience, clean and friendly. Tommy did my nails and they were done to perfection, just the way I wanted them. He didn't just do them he would pause in between and made sure that I understood the choices I had. :) I loved the pedicure, so relaxing. I certainly will be going back there.
I received manicure, pedi, and waxing services. I currently have polish on the inside of my hands from the manicure that was not cleaned off. As soon as I got into my car I see 6 or 7 strings of hair on my chin (In which I just got waxed and it already wasn’t much to wax) so I go next door to beauty supply to get tweezers so I can remove my own hair. Very disappointed in the chin wax. My pedicure was AMAZING. The young lady who did them did not rush or do anything I didn’t ask for. All together I give a 2 star and those go straight to the pedicure service. This is my first review ever, and I can honestly say I am disappointed overall my nails are filed slanted and wax services are not up to par. I’m not sure why my tablet won’t allow me to upload photos, but that’s okay, just be sure to choose the correct technicians . Have an amazing day...&’ even if you can’t, don’t cha dare go messing up nobody else’s hea? ❤️
I called the business yesterday to ask how much a full set of acrylic and French tips were. I was told $25 and $5 extra for the French tips. I went there today and the guy says it’s $40. I said why is it so much. He said because you got a full set, gel polish, and French tips. I didn’t ask you for the gel polish. I told you a full set of French tips. And he didn’t even airbrush the tips, he took it upon himself to hand paint them..which I didn’t even ask for. Not going there anymore. I’ve been a customer there for years and now I see why there shop is practically empty every time I go by now.
One of my favorite nail salons, owned by a husband and wife, Tommy and Wanda. They ans their staff do a wonderful job with facial waxing, pedicures and manicures. All at a great prices. All techniques are the newest and best in the nail care field.
* desk#2 of all the staff is one that I personally don't enjoy the work of it might be great for someone else.
