Quick Facts About VIP Nails and Spa Oakwood
VIP Nails and Spa Oakwood Place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses. It is important to consider multiple perspectives to get a comprehensive understanding of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, the comment mentioning Hannah, who always does a great job, highlights the quality of the nail services provided. The commenter mentions having their nails for over a year without any breakages, which speaks to the durability and skill of the technicians. This is important as clients value long-lasting results and skilled nail technicians. Additionally, the comment describes the salon as a "lovely & decent nail shop," suggesting a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Another comment mentions the young ladies Lesley, Sandra, and Wendy, who provided great nail services with a nice and friendly demeanor. This suggests that the salon has multiple skilled technicians who can provide quality service to clients.
Another strength of VIP Nails and Spa Oakwood Place is the recent change in management. A comment mentions that the salon is under new management and undergoing renovations. This indicates that the salon's management is actively working to improve the space and the overall experience for customers. The commenter also praises the new management, suggesting that the changes have positively impacted the salon and their experience. The new management may bring fresh ideas and improvements to the salon's operations, potentially enhancing the overall customer experience.
However, there are also several weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One major weakness is the issue of inconsistent pricing. A comment mentions being charged $20 for a manicure without any clear pricing information available. The commenter believes that this price was made up on the spot due to their gender, as they had never paid that much for a manicure in Atlanta. Inconsistent pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a lack of transparency, creating a negative perception of the establishment.
Poor customer service is another weakness mentioned. One comment refers to a nail technician who was loud, unprofessional, and talked about ghost stories, causing the commenter to have a migraine. This indicates a lack of professionalism and consideration for the customer's comfort. Another comment describes a technician who grunted throughout the pedicure and made the customer feel uneasy. Such behavior can negatively impact the overall experience and deter customers from returning to the salon.
Furthermore, there are mentions of unsatisfactory results. One commenter states that their nails broke after two weeks, while they usually last a month when done by different technicians. This suggests inconsistencies in the quality of work provided by different staff members. Another comment mentions unevenly clipped toes and a hole created on the side of the foot during a pedicure. Such mistakes can be concerning for customers, as they expect a certain level of precision and care during their nail treatments.
In conclusion, VIP Nails and Spa Oakwood Place has strengths in terms of skilled technicians, long-lasting results, and recent management changes aimed at improving the establishment. However, there are weaknesses highlighted, such as inconsistent pricing, poor customer service, and unsatisfactory results. These weaknesses can negatively impact the overall customer experience and should be addressed by the salon's management to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I wish I could give this place a zero. It was very unprofessional in there and smelled of a foul odor. They charged me $20 for a manicure. I didn't see any signage, information, or price chart for such and I believe the Lady with the man style haircut made that price up because I was a man. When I asked to see a chart she said that's the normal price. I go in Atlanta often to get a manicure and never paid that much. On top of that. It was a bad job they did. The lady with The man cut was yelling and talking so loud it gave me a migraine and screaming about ghost stories and was very unprofessional. I would never go there again and I suggest you don't waste your money there either!
Hannah always does a great job! I've had my nails for over a year now & have never broken one yet ???? They look great even as much as 4 weeks between fills.
This was my 1st time here and I have been searching for a lovely & decent nailshop. I may have found it. They are lovely people and take their time with their work. #IfYouAreAGreatNailTech check them out!
I will be back. Thank you Hannah & Amber!!
Update: still love it here & they do not act all uppity like other nail shops around here.
Update since they are under new management: the place is starting to look cute as far as decorating goes but I let someone new do my nails and I'm usually VERY picky about changing people. I'm not sure if Hannah and Amber still work but I hope so. Ome of my nails broke in half opening a perfume box nothing more thn usual. I have had them two week and when amber and hannah did them they lasted a month! I am disappointed to be honest
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT — and thank goodness! My GF heard they had new management so she wanted to try it. Being the thoughtful BF I am, I stopped in to get her a gift certificate. She went, and loved it. They’re currently going through renovations, and will be upgrading it even further. My girlfriend didn’t have a good experience last time, but this time totally new experience. She definitely will be going back, which she’s happy about, as it is closest to where she lives. Stop in and see the new management team and clean those nails up - yes, we men folk notice! ????
I have been using this salon for many years. I went in and the girls who normally do my pedicure were not there. It went under new management and the vibe was not there. I had a pedicure done like I always do but this time not so good. I'm not one to complain but this can't go un-noticed. The young lady grunted the whole time she was doing my pedicure. She was very uneasy the whole time. I asked if she had been doing this for awhile. She said yes, she had come from the prior salon that was bought out. So that kinda gave me piece of mind. Until taking care of my feet she continued to file the side of my foot until she rubbed a hole in it. She clipped my toes with this instrument that you would use on diabetic toe nails. Not nail clippers. Now they are uneven. I was willing to let that slide until we checked out. I paid my bill and left a 20 percent tip. She looked at me and said that's it? I was appalled. Not sure I want to go back. If the ladies who normally do my pedicures are not there I will not go back.
Always a great experience. The quality of service and the chill atmosphere are phenomenal. I have come here for years. This place is under new management but don't worry. They have taken how things were before any made astronomical improvements. Best place in Hall County.
