Quick Facts About Nail First By Karen

Nail First By Karen has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers, indicating both strengths and weaknesses of the salon.
Starting with the strengths, many customers appreciate the friendly and welcoming staff at Nail First By Karen. One reviewer mentioned the staff being "very sweet and friendly" and another praised their "awesome experience." This suggests that the salon has created a positive and comfortable atmosphere for customers. Additionally, one customer mentioned that they were able to accommodate walk-in appointments, which shows flexibility and convenience for customers.
Another strength of Nail First By Karen is the longevity of their gel nails and manicures. One customer mentioned that their gel nails lasted a while and their manicure lasted over a week, which they consider to be pretty good compared to other places. This indicates that the salon uses quality products and provides services that have good durability.
Nail First By Karen also seems to offer a broad variety of colors to choose from, as mentioned by one reviewer. Having a wide selection of colors can be appealing to customers who like to have various options for their nail designs.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One common complaint is poor nail quality and craftsmanship. Customers reported nails that were clumpy, uneven, and not properly shaped. Multiple customers mentioned issues with nails lifting or breaking shortly after getting them done. These incidents suggest that the salon may lack attention to detail and proper application techniques, resulting in subpar nail results.
Communication and customer service also appear to be weaknesses of Nail First By Karen. Several customers mentioned rude treatment, struggles with communication, and difficulty with expressing their preferences. Some customers experienced difficulties in conveying their desired designs or shapes. One customer mentioned encountering a language barrier and feeling disrespected. Another customer described experiencing rude and disrespectful behavior from the staff. These comments all indicate a lack of professionalism and customer-oriented approach.
One reviewer mentioned a pricing discrepancy and having to pay for a service that needed to be redone. This issue suggests poor quality control and a lack of professionalism in handling customer concerns.
In conclusion, Nail First By Karen has strengths in terms of friendly staff, long-lasting manicures, and a variety of colors. However, weaknesses lie in poor craftsmanship, difficulties with communication, rude behavior, and a lack of quality control. For those seeking nail services, it is recommended to carefully consider the potential risks associated with the salon before making an appointment.

Best TL Reviews

I’m usually not one to leave reviews but I showed the older lady in there a picture of what I wanted, she told me she couldn’t do designs so I showed her a different picture of just French tips but instead it would be an orange color.. she said she didn’t do tips. So I said fine just do the whole nail.. I have never once encountered a nail tech that couldn’t do just the tips but okay. It took her an hour and 15 minutes to complete this and they look horrible. All clumpy, none of them are even or straight and my cuticles have never looked this bad after getting my nails done. On top of it she cut me multiple times and couldn’t communicate properly with me. I won’t be back and I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Very friendly staff, yet mine and my daughters nails are disastrous. I just got mine done 7 hours ago, and literally 7 of my 10 nails are lifting up, meaning the glue didn’t hold the tip on. Their not shaped very well and ones super crooked. My daughters were left super long, and not the desired shape she wanted. Praying that they’ll peacefully fix them tomorrow!
I came in an hour before close. They were able to see 3 people with no appointment. (One pedicure 2 manicures). They were pretty friendly. The gel nails lasted a while and the manicure lasted over a week (which is pretty good compared to other places). They had a broad variety of colors to choose from. And now I know I don’t need to go to the city for a nail or foot appointment . Thank you guys!
I have never been treated so rude ever in my life, like I was on Friday January 25th 2019 at NAILS 1st BY KAREN. I needed my gel polish removed and re applied for a weekend get away, I didn’t have time to go to my regular nail tech so I thought I’d support my local white oak business. It’s been maybe 8 years since I’ve been there and now I remember why. They had my nails wrapped with nail polish remover to lift the nail polish off for over 45 minutes, they couldn’t get it off, so this man moved me to another station and took 2 walk In Full sets. So LISA stood up from her client, with such an attitude, pulled the wraps from my fingers with disgust as she stood in front of me scraping the color off my nails so hard that she literally ripped off the my enamel from my nail bed and broke 2 of my nails (I so wanted to get up and walk out but I was going away for the weekend) Then this other tech finished up smacking my hands to move down when my hands were up, at one point he yanked my hand, the telling me to keep my hands In the uv light (12 different times between both hands), I said no, I never had to but my nails under the UV light that many times, that’s is not even SAFE subjecting someone to UV rays that many times in one session & no other tech has ever done that to me or any of their clients. Then he said “you don’t tell me how to do my job!” and then had the audacity to tell me not to use my phone? Then all 3 of them started speaking their language laughing. The young lady (total stranger) sitting next to me rolled her eyes and mouthed “omg, I cant believe how rude they are, and she also said I’m so sorry!” The way I was treated was not warranted one bit! This was 1 1/2 hours of biting my tongue and being treated absolutely awful. Oh and $23 dollars and 2 days later the gel is lifting on 4 nails and they even filed them crooked and uneven. If for whatever reason you may not have wanted to do my nails, then you should have said you had nothing available. You should never had treated me so rudely, and for you to subject me to that behavior for $23 that is pure greed and unacceptable.
Absolutely the best pedicure I have ever had!!
It was an awesome experience! The owner is very sweet and friendly. I just love my nails and pedicures. You need to try it to have a great experience
Last Tuesday got nails done, had three broken nails by Thursday. They didn’t understand I anted acrylic over my torn nails. Also the polish was color changing but not on the sample tips as color changing. So three nails with completely different colors???? Back on Saturday, two broke in the salon, again no acrylic on them. Just polish! I guess I’ll be back Monday next week. Charged for a full set both times.☹️????and what’s up with the huge acrylic clump under my nails?
I called for a last minute appointment for a pedicure and they said they could take me at 11:00. Whenever I walked in @ 11:00 in a rude tone I was asked why I was there and I picked out white nail polish for my pedicure. He told me it was off white even though I asked him if it was transparent he said no. I repeated multiple times I wanted white. When it was done it look like nothing was done and you can still see that I had black nails previously. He was trying to talk me into it but then the girl right next me was getting white. I spoke up because I didn’t like them he kept trying to tell me they were pretty so he didn’t have to redo them. They were anything but pretty him and the owner started arguing and then the owner ended up fixing them and he went to work on another client. But since he was checking me out it was 44$ even though it had to be redone.
