Quick Facts About Nails 1st
Nails 1st, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses. Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that they had a beautiful gel manicure and pedicure. This indicates that the salon has capable staff who are able to provide aesthetically pleasing nail services. Additionally, the staff was described as friendly, efficient, and professional, which contributes to a positive customer experience. The salon's cleanliness was also praised, which is an important aspect of any salon or spa environment.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the ability to accommodate walk-ins. With 8-9 manicurists working, it suggests that the salon is adequately staffed to handle a reasonable number of customers. This is beneficial for individuals who may not have the luxury of making appointments in advance or prefer spur-of-the-moment pampering. Furthermore, the salon offers a wide range of colors to choose from, indicating that they have a diverse selection to cater to various customer preferences.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that were pointed out by dissatisfied customers. One recurring issue is the durability of the gel nail polish. Multiple customers mentioned that their gel manicures did not last longer than a week, which is disappointing considering the additional cost associated with gel polish. This suggests that there may be quality control issues or improper application techniques that result in a shorter lifespan for the gel polish.
Another weakness highlighted by customers is the lack of certain services and amenities. One commenter mentioned that the salon does not offer dip powder, which may be a popular choice for some customers. Additionally, several individuals noted the absence of liners in the foot tubs during pedicures, as well as the omission of hot towels or a foot scrub. These amenities are often expected in a professional nail salon and can enhance the overall experience for customers.
In terms of customer service, there were mixed reviews. While some customers praised the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, others mentioned encountering unfriendly and unapproachable manicurists. One customer even reported that their manicurist appeared to be in a hurry and did not want to respond to questions. This inconsistency in customer service suggests that there may be a lack of training or management oversight to ensure a consistently positive experience for all customers.
Furthermore, a few customers expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the nail work. Complaints included nails not being the same shape or size, unevenly polished nails, and nails being cut incorrectly or being slanted. These negative experiences indicate that there may be issues with attention to detail and consistency in the work performed by the nail technicians.
Finally, the pricing of services at Nails 1st was brought up by a few customers. One individual mentioned that they did not feel the $40 charged for a gel manicure was worth the money, while another commented that they would not return to the salon due to the availability of other salons offering more for a cheaper price. This suggests that there may be a discrepancy between the quality of services provided and the prices charged, which can impact the overall value for customers.
In conclusion, Nails 1st has strengths in terms of providing beautiful nail services, having friendly staff, maintaining cleanliness, and accommodating walk-ins. However, there are weaknesses to consider, such as issues with the durability of gel polish, inconsistent customer service experiences, the lack of certain amenities, and pricing concerns. These weaknesses should be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience and ensure customer satisfaction.

I got a beautiful gel manicure and pedicure. The staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. They even got me in the same day. Also very clean inside
The gel nail polish didn’t last longer than a week which was unfortunate. The lady who did my nails was not friendly and rather unapproachable. She seemed like she was in a hurry and did not want to respond to questions. 40$ for gel ‘manicure’ was not worth the money.
Nails 1st is a good size nail salon with 8-9 manicurists working so I was able to walk in and get started right away. They had a lot of colors to choose from but they don’t offer dip powder; they only offer regular polish and gel polish. I got a pedicure and gel manicure and my total was $62. First off with my pedicure, I didn’t like that they don’t use liners in the foot tubs. I wasn’t overly impressed with my pedicure because of that and because they didn’t use hot towels or a leg/foot scrub either. Now on to the manicure, my manicurist didn’t put enough layers of polish. It felt very thin compared to all my past manicures and I’ve gotten a manicure every 3 week for the last 5 years. By day 3, my right thumb had already chipped. I also was not happy that he didn’t polish my polish to my cuticles. It was not very neat and looks like my nails already grew out the day I got it done. Also, no lotion or massage with the manicure. My manicurist was sweet and I’m glad they took me in right away, but I would not come back to Nails 1st. There are too many other salons that offer more for a cheaper price.
Nails not the same shape or size, mine isnt as bad as my friend that came with me, my friend was saying the girl that was doing her mail was rude. I was right there when she asked the girl to fix it and she didn’t.
I would never go anywhere else. They are perfectionists when it comes to nails. The salon is beautiful, feels like the perfect getaway. Tom is so funny & never turns anyone away. It's everything a 5 star establishment should be & then some. "My nails always look perfect!"
After 10 years of being there, the owner still remembered me and my last manicure! Wow! That's customer service. Went on a Saturday - they were very busy. Had to wait longer than usual but was very pleased with the huge color selection, care, and precision given to my gel manicure. I love the shape and nail art the manicurist did. Hope to stop back in before another 10 years goes by. Thanks Nails 1st!!
Service was prompt and polite. The salon was clean. My hands, especially in our current context, could use more moisturizer. $35 for a gel manicure.
Manicure grew out beautifully. Two full weeks no chips. I went back to see Nikki again.
I got my nails done here today and I'm very disappointed the girl was so rough and kept cutting my fingers my whole fingernail isn't polished she didn't polish the sides she was just very rude and unprofessional my nails aren't shaped the way that I like and they are crooked. I asked for 3 rhinestones on one of my fingers going in a straight line up my finger and all of them are completely uneven. half of the time she was too busy on her cell phone while doing my nails I'm actually embarrassed to walk around with my nails looking like this. I never write reviews but I'm so disappointed ???? literally 4 of my nails are completely slanted I'm so annoyed waste of money
