Quick Facts About Nailstation
Nailstation place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses. It is important to analyze these comments in order to understand the overall perception of the salon and provide a comprehensive assessment.
Starting with the strengths, it is evident that some customers have been loyal to Nailstation for many years. One comment mentions a 23-year long history with the salon, indicating some level of customer satisfaction in the past. Additionally, another customer speaks highly of Maria, one of the nail technicians, praising her professionalism, attentiveness, and humor. This suggests that there are capable and talented technicians working at Nailstation who can provide good service.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that have been highlighted. One major concern mentioned in the comments is the salon's cleanliness and adherence to proper hygiene protocols. Multiple customers express dissatisfaction with the hygiene standards, such as the failure to use masks correctly and the lack of sanitation between clients. This is particularly concerning given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Another common complaint is the quality of the work provided by the technicians. Some customers describe the work as sloppy, lacking imagination, and not meeting their expectations. This includes issues like cracked nail polish and poor application of acrylic nails. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy in the availability of tools and materials required for high-quality work. One comment states that the shop owner does not provide the necessary tools, which can affect the overall outcome of the services provided.
Customer service is another area where Nailstation falls short according to the comments. Complaints about rude staff members, particularly Nancy, are mentioned. Customers claim to have been treated unprofessionally and have experienced long wait times for their appointments. One comment reflects frustration with being told to go somewhere else despite being a loyal customer for many years.
Language barriers and communication problems also arise in the comments. Customers express frustration with nail technicians who do not speak English fluently, which can impede effective communication and lead to misunderstandings. This can be a significant issue when trying to convey specific preferences or concerns during the service.
Finally, there are mentions of pricing concerns. One customer expresses disappointment with paying $50 for a subpar set of nails, while another complains about paying extra for mood polish that did not work as promised. These comments suggest that the value for money may not be satisfactory.
In conclusion, Nailstation place has several weaknesses that have been highlighted by customers. Hygiene and cleanliness issues, subpar quality of work, poor customer service, communication problems, and pricing concerns are all areas of improvement for the salon. However, it is important to note that there are also loyal customers who have had positive experiences with certain technicians at Nailstation. Addressing the weaknesses and building on the strengths could help the salon improve its overall reputation and customer satisfaction.

Baby when I tell you this is THE WORSE NAIL SALON IN DURHAM NC worse than the one in Wellons Village, the nail tech I had couldn’t speak fluent English, they up rooted my friend from a chair so I could sit down because she didn’t know how to do the set she was working on, my friend had one pinky nail glued on then they sat her down to get her pedicure, I sat down in place of her unbeknownst to me she was fluent in English, I asked for dipped acrylic which I received but by far the worse I have ever encountered, the shop was packed with people babies, toddlers and women it was really a lot going on, back to these nails Chile it was $50 for this mess and I still tipped her $5
This place is nasty and disgusting. If you decided to come here you will have a chance to get COVID.
And the problem is algo the clients. I guess they think the mask helps to hold their face or as an accessory in the hand.
I will not come back here.
I have been going to Nailstation for 23 yrs now. I can always tell when the new management comes in and when they start to lose their best technicians. The quality of the work always goes down. Sloppy work, no imagination for designs nor do they have sufficient materials. The shop owner doesn't provide the tools needed for the best results and the techs don't apply themselves as they should to their craft. Start looking for somewhere else where the quality is OUTSTANDING not mediocre. Until they get back to normal.
Bad customer service wants to take whoever they want, they purposely make you wait so they can take other people in front of you. Nancy is a rude witch she will tell you to go somewhere else because it's no appointments being made but everyone have appointments. This is VERY unprofessional when a customer has been coming here for years they would tell someone to just go somewhere else is beyond me never again will I spend my money in here the work is poor quality and lacks professionalism.
Nancy is very unsanitary. She never washes her hands. Always comes from the back of the salon eating, walks right into the waxing room and touches your face as if we are not in a pandemic. On top of that they do not sanitize the equipment after each client. She also uses the same wax stick for multiple people to save from using so many sticks. She dips the stick back into the wax after touching people faces and then calls the next person in and does the same thing. I would stay away. Suprised no one has gotten seriously ill from I disgusting place. Nancy wash your hands and stop being cheap!!
I love this place however I wasn't happy with my last pedicure. The lady who served me was latina. Everything went fine until afterwards, the polish started cracking. I went back a week later and the translator said "if it's not gel then she can't help you".
I couldn't believe it. That'll be the last time I go there for a pedicure. Obviously the polish was old. Cool beans, there's other salons. I like T Nails just down the road from Nailsations. I'll go to T Nails from now on for me and my daughter's pedicures.
I just left and paid extra for mood polish that doesn't change!!!! Right hand hot water left hand cold...smh
Just moved recently to NC and went to a nail salon in other place that did a bad job. Came here and they did just an amazing job fixing it. Maria is just so funny and professional. She is so attentative and did an Amazing job! I'm coming back just for her.
