Quick Facts About Noemi Dominican Hair Salon # 2

Noemi Dominican Hair Salon #2 has garnered a range of reviews, with both positive and negative feedback. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will consider the different aspects mentioned in the comments.
Strengths: 1. Expertise with natural hair: Noemi Dominican Hair Salon #2 is praised for their expertise in working with 4C hair type, which is a specific hair type common among black women. This expertise is noted as being present before many other black hair salons ventured into working with natural hair, demonstrating Noemi's early recognition of this market. 2. Professionalism: Several commenters mention that Noemi is professional and has been doing their hair for a long time, which suggests a level of consistency and reliability in her work. 3. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere: One reviewer mentions that the salon staff is amiable and creates a warm environment. This can be a significant factor in attracting and retaining customers.
Weaknesses: 1. Pricing inconsistency: One reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with the pricing, noting that the cost for their service significantly increased from a previous visit. Another customer mentions being charged a high price for a simple wash and set, feeling discriminated against and overcharged. 2. Prejudiced behavior: Some reviewers make comments suggesting that Noemi exhibits prejudiced behavior, particularly towards African American customers and those with naturally curly hair. These comments mention feeling singled out, overcharged, and sensing discriminatory treatment. It is essential to address these allegations, as they can significantly impact the salon's reputation and accessibility to a diverse clientele. 3. Experimental use of chemicals: One reviewer has a negative experience in which Noemi or her staff used an experimental mixture on their hair without their consent, resulting in damage to their natural curls. This incident highlights a lack of communication and care for the customer's desires and preferences.
Additional Considerations: 1. Price competitiveness: One reviewer highlights that there are other Dominican salons charging less and providing a more professional experience. Noemi Dominican Hair Salon #2 should take this into account when setting their prices and consider market competition to remain competitive. 2. Variety of services: While some customers are satisfied with the service they received, specific details about the services offered are limited. It would be beneficial to provide information on the range of services available to attract potential customers seeking specific treatments or treatments suitable for their hair texture. 3. Haircare expertise: Although some commenters praise the salon's expertise with natural hair, others express concerns about damaging chemical use and high pricing for simple services. To maintain a positive reputation, the salon should focus on educating and training their staff to provide consistent, high-quality service to all customers.
In conclusion, Noemi Dominican Hair Salon #2 has some strengths, such as expertise with natural hair, professionalism, and a welcoming atmosphere. However, there are significant weaknesses, including inconsistent pricing, allegations of discriminatory behavior, and a lack of communication regarding chemical usage. These weaknesses should be addressed to ensure a more inclusive and satisfactory experience for all customers. Additionally, focusing on price competitiveness, expanding services, and providing consistent and educated haircare expertise can contribute to the salon's success.

Noemí is awesome, she’s being doing my hair for more than fifteenth years. Very professional , and there’s nothing racist about her salons. This is a Do indican Hair salon, so you will hear Dominican music, Noemi had made herself and expert in working with our 4C Hair type, way before your typical black hair salon started to work with our natural hair. Her prices are according to the times we are living, everything has gone up. I highly recommend this salons specially if you don’t used a chemical, she’s an expert with natural hair for the silky looks.
She was late for my appointment, and charged me a lot of money, last time I went (when I had straight wavier hair) is was half the price… like $65 but this time I spent over $100. I think she charges African America hair more, and naturally curly hair. She said some off color comments as well thinking I did not understand, she seems slightly prejudiced. She also said I just needed to sit there and enjoy the music and turned on her TV while chatting with her regulars/friends. Got a lot of weird looks there too, like they knew she wasn’t going to treat me right.
This salon charges a crazy amount $120 when you can get it done for $50 or less down the street. She also has prejudice against curly hair using it as a reason to charge crazy amounts and she herself is afrolatina. There are too many other Dominican salons to choose from that charge less and are more professional.
Do not come here! I came here on 12/31 to get a simple wash and set my hair is short shoulder length and she tried to charge me $95. I tried to explain to her I did not want a relaxer or color just a wash/set and she said $95. I believe she discriminates against black people and charges them more!!
Me encanta, no cambiaría ese Salón por nada, súper amables y muy buenas profesionales, tintes y diferentes tratamientos, sencillamente EXCELENTE!
My wife went to Noemi’s hair salon on March 9th for a simple wash and blow dry of her hair prior to our trip to Vegas. This is where her nightmare began. Noemi and her inexperienced staff decided to take it upon themselves to experiment with my wife’s hair by using a chemical mixture of shampoo and what I believe was either a hair relaxer or Keratin substance when washing her hair. She did not and was not informed that they were going to use this experimental mixture therefore ruining her natural curls. It was not apparent to my wife until she washed her hair when we returned from our trip. This is when we both smelled a foul substance coming from her wet hair. We returned to Noemi’s salon to address our findings and she denied the use of chemicals in my wife’s hair and blamed it on a new flatiron. She attempted to offer conditioner treatment free of cost to my wife’s hair in an attempt to repair it. Here we are over a month later and now spending our own money to repair my wife’s hair with other more experienced hairstylist. My apologies for such a long review, but stay clear of this business. Anyone that chooses to experiment on your hair without prior consent is one that shouldn’t be trusted.
Everyone there was super nice and I love how my hair came out. Karla is amazing. She did my hair in 1 and a half hours!!
The only problem I have is that I was overcharged for service. Every salon I have ever gone to has charged me for $60 at most for a blowout. I was charged $100- she split my hair and said 50/50.
I’m an Afro Latina with thick curly hair. I even went out of my way to pre wash and untangle my own hair so that it would be a seamless process.
I strongly feel that I was overpriced because it was a slow day and there were only 2 other people being serviced on a Friday.
I will try their service again but I will walk out if it’s the same price.
Beautiful experience here, and very welcoming! I’d highly recommend it to anyone!
