Quick Facts About Pan Restaurant Ltd

Pan Restaurant Ltd has a number of strengths that contribute to its success as a dining establishment. Firstly, the restaurant has a warm and cozy ambience, making it an ideal choice for a date night or intimate gathering. The cute tapas style of dining adds to the charm of the restaurant, allowing patrons to sample a variety of dishes and flavors in a relaxed setting.
In terms of food, Pan Restaurant Ltd offers a unique and interesting take on Asian fusion cuisine. This is reflected in the positive comments regarding the cod croquettes, lamb, beef rendang, Onglet, Bao buns, mackerel, and aubergine dishes. The combination of flavors and the quality of the food are consistently praised, indicating a strong culinary offering.
Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of sake and a good old ginger beer for non-alcoholic drinkers. This shows that Pan Restaurant Ltd caters to a range of preferences and provides a diverse beverage menu to complement the food.
The helpful and friendly staff are also mentioned positively in the comments. The staff make an effort to advise patrons on the number of plates to order and are described as welcoming and eager to please. This level of service contributes to the overall positive dining experience at Pan Restaurant Ltd.
However, there are also some weaknesses that have been identified in the comments. One comment mentions minor issues with the service, including confusion over table placement and conflicting advice on the number of plates to order. This suggests a need for better communication and coordination among the staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
There is also mention of portion sizes being on the small side for tapas, especially when sharing dishes. This suggests that some patrons may feel unsatisfied or that additional larger portion options like rice or noodles could be provided to balance out the meal.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is the poor service experienced by a patron. They had to wait a long time for a dish that was not served, and the staff failed to check on their table for an extended period of time. This issue may be attributed to a lack of attentiveness or communication among the staff, and it contributes to a negative overall experience for the customer.
Finally, there is a comment noting that the restaurant was quite empty on a Saturday night. While it is not specified why this may be the case, it suggests that Pan Restaurant Ltd may have difficulty attracting customers or that there may be a disconnect between the restaurant's concept and its execution.
In conclusion, Pan Restaurant Ltd has several strengths that contribute to its appeal, including a cozy ambience, a unique culinary offering, and friendly staff. However, there are also areas that could be improved, such as communication and coordination among staff, portion sizes, and attentiveness to customer needs. Overall, these comments provide valuable feedback that can help Pan Restaurant Ltd further refine and enhance its dining experience.

Best TL Reviews

A cute tapas style dining restaurant with warm ambience making it an absolute winner for a date night. Must haves are the cod croquettes, lamb and the beef rendang. They also offer a variety of sake and a good old ginger beer for the tea teetotaler.
Absolutely delicious.
A very interesting take on a sort of asian-fusion in the tapas style.
Quite a cosy, small restaurant with helpful friendly staff. A couple of minor issues with the service- we had a table booked, but initially they didn't seem to know where they were putting us.
Once this was sorted, we were given 2 different bits of advice regarding how many plates to order which we dutifully followed, but were then asked by the waiter if we were sure as they thought we'd ordered too much....... bit odd, but it was actually about right. Aside from that lovely service, excellent atmosphere and the food was stunning.
I cam highly recommend the Onglet, the Bao buns, the mackerel and the aubergine dishes.
The only dish I wasn't a fan of was a spiced carrot dish which, whilst tasty, wasn't as appealing aesthetically speaking.
Nice small wine menu, lovely selection of sake.
Really pleased to have found this place, we will definitely visit again sometime.
Quite empty for a Saturday night, assume this was due to David Brent being front of house. The food was actually very good, although we are now all in the pub £30 a head worse off, with a packet of crisps. So I guess portion size needs to be looked at. It's a great concept poorly letdown by the over familiarity of the manager and his dictatorial manner.
First time visiting this lovely restaurant and it won't be the last time either. The dishes are served as tapas, with enough selection to warrant a second visit soon, before the menu is switched up, as new dishes are added every few weeks. The tastes are delicious and have some great combinations on the same plates.
Staff were very welcoming and made sure we always had more food arriving as we polished off each item.
Tasty food, unfortunately let down by dreadful service.
Portion sizes were on the small side for tapas, especially when your sharing each dish. They could really do with big portion filler dishes like rice/noodles to balance things out.
What we ordered wasn't read back to us and subsequently we were left waiting for a dish that never came. This common problem is usually solved by asking you if you got everything/how's the meal etc.
Unfortunately the staff did not frequent our table for 40 minutes so we got up to the bar where 3 staff were chatting and they'll check on it, only to be told 10 minutes later we didn't order it.
Alexandera was apologetic, but not wanting to wait any longer we left with a downer to an otherwise decent meal.
First time back since refurbishment and the food was even better than previous visit. Great variety on the menu - best was the KFC - should have doubled up! Great service as well and lovely atmosphere- very busy but didn’t feel crowded. Strongly recommend.
Delicious and imaginative food and good service. The pork belly and monkfish were outstanding and everything else was excellent. We will return to try the other dishes. It's not cheap, but the food was worth the price.
Lovely young and friendly staff, eager to please and advise on how much to order. A concise menu offering delicious Asian tapas dishes. Great to have somewhere different to eat in Wokingham, rather than the usual curry or Italian restaurants. Excellent food and service, will definitely return.
