Being an old Picture House turned into a Spoons, it offers a nostalgic and charming atmosphere that is a nod to its cinematic past. This wide selection appeals to different tastes and dietary preferences, allowing customers to choose from a huge menu and order what they like. Additionally, the comments mention the quality of the food, with positive reviews on the seafood platter, veggie mezze platter, Rubens potatoes, lamb shawarma, margarita pizza, and desserts from Baked by Bean. This is an old Picture House usually turned into a Spoons. This is an upmarket food court. The bar serves real ale from the Manchester Black Jack brewery. I had an excellent pint of the 3.8% session bitter for £4.20. £7 for a 175ml wine. Lots of seating inside and out. Food looks good but pricey. £13 for a fish finger butty. £14.50 for bolognaise. £10 for cheeseburger. Lots of choice. Seafood, pancakes, milk shakes, Italian, cakes, Med etc. Nothing spicy.. Very popular..
So good. It really is the sum of its parts. Individual operators producing quality food & drink. 2nd time we've been ( 6 months apart)and both times fantastic. Fab setting too. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
We love it here. Just easy and relaxed and great food and drinks. Dog friendly and kid friendly its all good. Ordering using the App is rapid and a great place to pop to for lunch with friends and family who can all order what they like from a huge menu. If you are anywhere near pop in and just get a feel for the place. Modern atmosphere with a nod to its cinematic past. Best of both worlds....
In the few days we were in Macclesfield we visited 3 times for drinks and a meal. Great atmosphere, lovely and warm even though it was freezing outside. Everyone very friendly and a great choice of food and drink. Loved it.
Totally fun food hall inside a repurposed silent-movie era cinema, complete with old movie posters etc. Collect cutlery as you enter, pick a table, note the number, then order from one of the many individual stalls that line the walls. Wood fired pizzas, Italian, Mediterranean, vegetarian etc etc etc. Wine bar, local beers. Great casual spot.
Really cool venue, loads of different vendors, dog friendly. London prices but worth it. Had Rubens potatoes and lamb shawarma, margarita pizza and the sandwich place outside. Order at the counter then they deliver to your table. All great, and baked by bean desserts were v good too. Wine shop - loads to choose from and drink there too. Didn’t wait long for a table on a Friday night, there’s no one seating you just find a spot. Would recommend!
Lovely atmosphere, great to see so many young families here on a Friday evening. The food selection is pretty decent, we went for a seafood platter and veggie mezze platter. The seafood platter was delicious, most of the mezze was nice apart from the grilled courgettes, not 100% sure what flavouring they used, but we couldn’t eat it. Overall both were prefect for two or three people sharing. Highly recommend you visit this place.
Reasonable service, good food but a little pricey. Excellent beer choice ( I went for the cheerful mild at £4 pint)
