One of the strengths mentioned is that the hotel is described as "sauber" (clean) and "gemütlich" (comfortable). This suggests that the hotel maintains high cleanliness standards and provides a cozy atmosphere for guests. Additionally, the staff is praised for being friendly and helpful, which is important in providing a positive guest experience. The hotel also receives compliments for being up to date and modern, indicating that it offers contemporary amenities and services.
Another strength highlighted is the hotel's convenient location in the city center. It is within reach of the train station, the University, malls, and major stores. This makes it a convenient choice for both business and leisure travelers who wish to explore the city. The reception staff is also commended for their resourcefulness and recommendations, indicating that they go above and beyond to assist guests.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel is generally well-regarded, with a good selection of hot and cold options. However, there are some criticisms regarding the taste and quality of certain items, such as the mushrooms, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. Guests feel that improvements need to be made in this aspect, especially considering the price of £9.50.
The hotel does have some weaknesses as well. One recurring issue mentioned in multiple comments is the poor state of the bathroom ceiling in certain rooms. Peeling ceiling above the bath is specifically mentioned, which is a cleanliness and maintenance concern that should be addressed by the hotel management. The comments also mention that the shower in one room did not have hot water, leading to a request to move to a different room. This indicates that there may be occasional issues with the maintenance and functionality of room amenities.
Another weakness cited is the uncomfortable bed, which contributed to guests struggling to get a good night's sleep. This is an important aspect of any hotel stay, and the discomfort experienced by guests is an area for improvement.
In terms of accessibility, some guests mention that the bath and shower setup in their room was not suitable for individuals with disabilities. The bath was described as too small, making it difficult for guests to properly wash themselves. This highlights the need for the hotel to ensure that their facilities are accessible and accommodating for all guests, regardless of their physical abilities.
Overall, Premier Inn Middlesbrough Town Centre hotel has strengths in terms of cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location. However, there are weaknesses that need to be addressed, including bathroom maintenance, bed comfort, breakfast quality, and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. By addressing these issues, the hotel can improve the overall guest experience and create a more positive reputation.

Sauber, gemütlich, freundliches Personal
Very good, up to date premier inn. Staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good too. A pleasant stay.
Beautiful premium bedroom we had ordered. £150. Was very large but the view out of the window was awful.
A very clean environment, a warm welcome when checking in, a great breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold options, the only criticism I have was the poor state of the bathroom ceiling above the bath which needs sorting (room 110).
30th September, different room same issue, peeling ceiling above the bath, other that that and the first key card not working its still a great place to stay.
Great value, modern and very clean, decent parking although u hav to pay but cheap enough + staff are friendly... Will definitely stay again ????????
Very convenient location in the city centre - within reach of the train station, the University, malls and the major stores. The reception staff was comely and resourceful. I had a sumptuous main and dessert with good recommendations from the staff. The room was okay for the standard of a 3-Star, though should have a small fridge.
Lovely new and clean hotel with great friendly staff that really want to make your stay a nice one
Me and my girlfriend stayed here from 12/05/2022 - 14/05/2022. The experience wasn't that good because we got put in Room 308 - which had no hot water coming from the shower so we requested to move rooms which was granted to Room 406. The bed wasn't comfortable and we struggled to get a good night's sleep.
We decided to try the Premier Inn Breakfast on 13/05/2022, and it was poor and didn't taste nice or an actual breakfast. I had a full English breakfast and I didn't like the texture and taste of the mushrooms, scrambled eggs and fried eggs. This is something in my opinion that needs to be massively improved for the price of £9.50 because it ain't good enough. My girlfriend had the continental breakfast and she didnt like it.
The shower curtain in room 406 smelt peculiar and off putting. The bath was way too small so we struggled to get a proper wash due to our disabilities as me and my girlfriend both have autism.
It wasn't the best hotel stay that we had as it was our first romantic getaway as a couple. I wouldn't pay for more than one night because the shower was rubbish and the bath was too small also I didn't like the experience overall.
Even though the staff at reception were friendly and polite to us.
