Quick Facts About Rinaldo's Barber Shop

Rinaldo's Barber Shop has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the place, we will analyze these comments and identify key themes.
One of the major weaknesses highlighted by customers is the inconsistency and lack of skill from the hairdressers when it comes to cutting curly hair. Multiple reviewers mentioned receiving poor haircuts and even having straight hair products used on their curls. This indicates a lack of expertise and understanding of different hair types and textures.
Another weakness identified is the unprofessional behavior of certain staff members. Customers mentioned being subjected to inappropriate and uncomfortable conversations, such as political insinuations and disrespectful remarks towards those who patronize the shop. This kind of behavior creates a negative and unwelcoming environment for customers.
In addition, there were complaints about the quality of the haircuts and beard trims received. Some customers mentioned having their hair cut shorter than requested or having uneven cuts, leading to dissatisfaction with the overall result. Others highlighted specific issues with their beard trims, such as unevenness and the removal of more hair than desired. These experiences demonstrate a lack of attention to detail and precision, which is essential for a barber shop.
Price is another weakness mentioned by customers. Some felt that the services provided did not justify the high cost, especially when comparing to other barbershops where they had received satisfactory results at a lower price. This indicates a lack of perceived value for the money spent.
On the other hand, there were positive comments about specific hairdressers who demonstrated attentiveness, skill, and the ability to engage in friendly conversation. Customers who had a positive experience mentioned feeling like they were in an "old school" barber shop and appreciated the personalized service they received. This suggests that there are individual staff members who excel in their roles and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Consistency is also noted as a strength of Rinaldo's Barber Shop, with one customer mentioning that they have consistently received great haircuts. This indicates that there are certain staff members who consistently deliver satisfactory results, leading to customer loyalty.
In summary, the strengths of Rinaldo's Barber Shop include the presence of skilled and attentive hairdressers, as well as a sense of consistency. However, the weaknesses identified are significant and include a lack of expertise with curly hair, unprofessional behavior from staff members, inconsistent quality of haircuts and beard trims, and perceived high prices. These weaknesses impact the overall customer experience and should be addressed in order to improve the reputation and success of the business.

Best TL Reviews

The hair dressers I’ve had here don’t cut curly hair very well at all and have even put product in my hair that was only intended for straight hair. This was not just a one time experience either, I received multiple haircuts here before I had to look elsewhere.
I also had a hair dresser make very uncomfortable and unprofessional insinuations about poor people abusing welfare. Hardly the time or place for politics to be pushed on you.
Another staff member was also extremely nasty to me for no reason. I’m sure other reviewers are talking about the same worker I am. These people have ZERO respect for the people who keep the place in business and the quality of their haircuts is proof of that.
Went here for the first time today. Awesome barber shop! Jeff took time and asked me what I wanted and was very attentive. Also got to talk sports with him. Felt like an "old school" barber shop. I will be back!
Becky always does an excellent job! Great having a place like Ronaldo’s downtown!
The most expensive and worst haircut/beard trim I have ever received!! Please read.
I went in for a trim/dusting, should be simple enough right? I told the barber NO MORE than half an inch off because I am growing my hair out. He ended up taking 3.5 inches off! That’s 7X more than what I said not to go over, AND the only reason I know it was 3.5 inches was because there were multiple strands of hair that he DID NOT CUT!! I had to cut them off myself when I got home and measured out of curiosity. So besides cutting off way too much in some places, and not cutting some parts at all, this place gave me the worst haircut I have ever received in my life (not an exaggeration). Not to mention that anywhere else I have gotten a haircut and beard trim has never cost me more than 20-25 dollars. This place charged me $35!!
First time and last time I will patronize this business.
I sat down in the chair, told the woman what I wanted, and she laughed and said she had never heard of my request before (despite it being a fairly common cut). She made a joke about my request and I tried to explain the cut. instead of asking for further clarification or trying to better understand, she quickly went to work. Ultimately, the cut she gave me didn't look particularly bad, but it certainly wasn't what I wanted and was much, much shorter than what I had in mind.
She was very hasty with her work and nicked me several times, and had very little regard for my comfort in general.
In short: She laughed about my request, gave me what SHE thought I wanted, and was unpleasant in the process.
It seems, given these reviews, that I'm not the only customer they have disregarded. This was also the first time I've had a barber/stylist straight-up tell me they didn't know what I was talking about.
The only reason I don't rate a single star is because my hair isn't completely butchered, but I wouldn't recommend them and I won't go there again.
I called kindly asking if there was any availability for appointments and the attendant told me that there weren't available hours. So, I've asked for recommendations and she answered me with:
Are you calling from your smartphone? Yes? So you can look on it.
My response : thank you for your disrespectful answer, I'll never come back
I'm sorry, but I could not be more upset. My facial hair is ruined.
This is genuinely the worst beard trim I've ever gotten in my entire life. My entire beard is uneven, the right side is more full than the left, and the barber cut off almost all of the front of my beard leaving mainly the neck exposed. I have about an inch (at most) left of what was a 7 inch beard.
I also HAD a nearly 4 inch long handlebar mustache that I specifically said only to trim off no more than a quarter of an inch off of just the tips, and the barber proceeded to remove my entire handlebar. I'm honestly so sad and upset right now.
I'm not sure if I should say that a little or even some of this is my fault; perhaps it was miscommunication on my part? However, I know what I said, and it feels like the gentleman who ruined my face did everything the opposite of what I said to do.
Sure it will all grow back in time, but right now I have interviews and pictures to take where I will look terrible in all of them.
Now I have to go home and try my best to fix whatever I can. $20 for nightmare? Never again.
Great cut everytime! Easily the most consistent barber I’ve been to. Much better than chain barbershops, you can tell their staff cares about every job they do. Cant recommend enough! (Special shoutout to Jefferson for the cleanest fade I’ve ever had in my life)
