Quick Facts About Ruby nails

Ruby Nails Place is a nail salon that has both strengths and weaknesses, as indicated by the comments provided. Let's examine these strengths and weaknesses in detail.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that Ruby Nails Place has been their go-to place for years and that the workers are great and nice. This indicates that the salon has built a positive reputation and has developed a loyal customer base. Additionally, another commenter mentioned that their pedicure lasted a long time without chipping or discoloring, which signifies that the salon may have good-quality products and techniques for pedicures.
Furthermore, one customer had a positive experience with a nail technician named Lynn. They praised Lynn for taking her time, providing a great quality service, and being attentive to the customer's needs and comfort. This indicates that the salon has at least one skilled and customer-oriented technician on staff.
Switching to the weaknesses, multiple commenters expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the work at Ruby Nails Place. One customer mentioned that their gel manicure was rushed and resulted in a matte-looking middle nail with bubbles and spots. Another customer complained about crooked and improperly filed acrylic nails, as well as an infection caused by excessive clipping of the skin and nails. These comments suggest that the salon may have issues with consistency and attention to detail in their services.
In addition, some commenters mentioned issues with communication and customer service. One customer expressed disappointment with the fact that the salon refused to fix a broken nail and didn't match the color they had requested. This, coupled with rude and unprofessional behavior from staff members, indicates a lack of accountability and professionalism on the salon's part.
Price also came up as a concern in the comments. One customer stated that they were charged $80 for a full set of acrylic nails, which they considered too high. Another customer mentioned that the prices were higher than what was advertised on the board and that the salon claimed the prices had changed. This inconsistency in pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and mistrust.
Despite these weaknesses, one customer did mention a positive experience with their nails and the friendly receptionist. This indicates that there may be some individual nail technicians who can provide a satisfactory service when chosen specifically by customers.
In conclusion, Ruby Nails Place has both strengths and weaknesses. The salon has a loyal customer base, friendly staff, and the potential for skilled technicians. However, issues with quality, communication, customer service, and pricing need to be addressed to improve the overall customer experience and reputation of the salon. Customers may want to consider requesting specific technicians or exploring other nail salons that have more consistently positive reviews.

Best TL Reviews

This has been my go to place for years and I have always told people to go there for their nails. Twice now, I have had a terrible experience. The workers are so great and nice, but I feel that the quality of their work has lacked. My most recent visit was really upsetting. I got a gel manicure like I always do and they were rushing through it. My left hand wasn't even fully dry and I have a matte looking middle nail with bubbles and spots. I also wanted a rounded almond shape and I got square almost coffin. They also didn't paint all the way to the tip. You can see that it looks like I needed another coat on my nail. I am not sure if I will return because this is the second time this has happened to me.
Don’t go to this place. I went to get powder dip with pink tips and they said they couldn’t do it because the pink line wouldn’t show over the base. I ended up deciding on a light pink over the whole nail but when she started she said the color wouldn’t cover the white tip that was glued on so she needed to do a darker color. I said that was fine and she started with the new color. I immediately told her it was too pink and didn’t match the color on my toes like I wanted and she said it would look better when it was done and fade in a couple days. Two days later it still had not faded and one even broke while I was sleeping. So I went back and asked if they would fix it. The guy Brian who works there was not nice about it at all when I asked if they could fix the broken nail. Then I said it didn’t match my toes like I asked and he said no you changed your mind a bunch of times (which I only did because they said they couldn’t do what I wanted twice). I said I didn’t even want it fully redone and would be willing to have them paint over it with gel and he said they couldn’t do that. My friend that had recommended the place showed me her nails - it was the original pink I wanted with powder over a white tip (and the white didn’t show through) so clearly if I had a different tech she would’ve gotten it right the first time. I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t even fix my nail that broke. I didn’t want to argue with Brian so I just left. Highly recommend going somewhere else like Beyond in Brighton or Kyla in Penfield.
I got a pedicure here in May and it was absolutely amazing. It lasted forever- never chipping or discoloring. Plus the experience was great. I came back in August to get my nails done (white acrylic) and my toes down (white gel pedicure again) for my wedding. My toes turned out great and had no issues, even in the salt water as I got married on the beach by the ocean. However, my nails were terrible. Absolutely awfully. The were crooked, filed waaaay too much to the point where they were slanted and not even straight, nails weren’t cleaned before the acrylic went on so nail dust was sealed under them, and my finger got infected from skin/nail being clipped too much. It was terrible.
Had same lady twice, very rude, fast and unprofessional. They don’t care about your nails. Throwing my hands around hurting my skin with the electric file. 45 for a fill… I had asked the lady to file my nail to match the other nail and she acted like I offended her laughed at me and I’m assuming said something about me which made me uncomfortable. Aren’t you suppose to be able to correct small things if you’re paying ? Before this I went back because of the selection and because of the newly remodeled building. Don’t let this fool you. !!! You go to relax and have a girl day and you end up walking out upset. Need recommendations pls.
Staff was nice, my polish came off less than a week from getting them. Don't get acyrlics here, made my hands burn underneath the gel light and did them way to short. Charged me 80 dollars for a full set. Do not recommend
Came to get a fill on acrylic nails after being told they had acrylic. Asked the man doing them twice that it was acrylic and he kept reassuring me. He swapped out and the new girl confirmed they were NOT acrylic. I told them I was unhappy and they charged more than what was on the board and said ‘the prices had changed’
Today was my first time here. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and shown where to go. Mandy was my tech today. She was very friendly and did an excellent job on my nails. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I didn’t feel like my service was rushed at all. I could tell they were all shocked by my choice of hot pink nail polish but I was very happy with how they turned out. I am looking forward to returning!
5 STARS FOR THE EMPLOYEE NAMED LYNN, NOT FOR THE BUSINESS!!!
I have NEVER once gone into a nail salon and had someone do my nails that actually took their time and gave a good quality service. Granted I don’t get my nails done regularly but when I did, the experiences I had weren’t satisfying. I have to mention I’ve gone to this salon a few times and I unfortunately cannot say my experiences were satisfying considering the high prices (nail salons in general). To be honest, I walked into this salon expecting a low quality of service because of my past experiences going to nail salons. I had to get gel mani pedi done the day before an event I had to attend so it was the only reason I went. However, Lynn, my nail tech that day was not only very nice but gave a great quality service, tool her time with my cuticles, my foot massage, listened to what I exactly wanted, asked a few times during the service if I was comfortable or needed anything. I was very impressed and I let her know that twice. I’m not the one to write reviews but for the sake of all people that need advice before going in here and for the sake of If you do go, set up an appointment with Lynn, you will not be disappointed! ????
