Quick Facts About Soho Nail Spa

Upon analyzing the comments provided, it is evident that Soho Nail Spa has both strengths and weaknesses. It is important to consider these comments when evaluating the overall quality of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, one comment mentions that the service at Soho Nail Spa was quick and efficient. The customer had an acrylic fill-in and was in and out of the salon in just 30 minutes. The fact that the service was fast and the nails looked great demonstrates the professionalism and skill of the staff. Additionally, another comment mentions that Soho Nail Spa did a beautiful job, indicating that they have the capability to deliver aesthetically pleasing results.
Another potential strength of Soho Nail Spa is its convenience as a walk-in based salon. This is mentioned in one of the comments where the customer appreciates being able to walk in without an appointment. The convenience of not needing to schedule an appointment in advance can be appealing to customers who value flexibility in their beauty routines.
However, despite these strengths, there are several weaknesses that are repeatedly mentioned in the comments. One of the main weaknesses is poor customer service. In one comment, a customer recounts an unpleasant experience where the staff member was rude and dismissive. Another customer mentioned that the person who answered the phone call was unfriendly, unhelpful, and even abruptly hung up the call. These incidents illustrate a lack of professionalism and a disregard for customer satisfaction.
In terms of the actual nail services provided, multiple comments highlight issues with the quality of the work. Customers have mentioned unclean workstations, rushed service, and application errors such as chipped or uneven gel polish. One notable comment mentions that the nail technician made the customer's fingers bleed during a gel nail service. These experiences suggest a lack of attention to detail and possibly inadequate training of the staff members.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the pricing at Soho Nail Spa. One customer mentions that they were charged extra fees for minor additions, such as using two colors on a single nail. Additionally, there were complaints about the gel polish not lasting for more than a few days, leading to additional costs and trips to the salon for repairs. These issues with pricing and durability of the services provided can be seen as significant weaknesses.
Based on the comments provided, the strengths of Soho Nail Spa seem to be their quick service and ability to deliver aesthetically pleasing results. However, the weaknesses include poor customer service, inconsistency in the quality of work, unclean workstations, and issues with pricing and durability. These weaknesses can significantly impact the overall experience and customer satisfaction at Soho Nail Spa.

Sheer pink gel mani. Remnants of my old polish are left on some side corners. Sloppy application so it flooded my cuticles and sides, the topcoat doesn’t even reach my whole nail (pictured) and the application is SO uneven and streaky. He filed my nail so hard (to try to cleanup the errors) that he SPLIT MY SKIN with the nail file (also pictured). And was so rough with the clippers that it fudged up my thumb (pictured). The guy was sick; coughing and sniffling. So I’m hoping that’s why this was so horrible. Honestly I should’ve just done them at home.
Had an appointment for 11...they sat me down at a station..the stations are very close together...and ignored me. After 15 minutes I asked when my appointment would start and the woman was very rude and said they don't take appointments and they would get to me when they could. I am sure this was the woman I spoke to on the phone when I made the appointment. At 11:20 I walked out. I went to K2 Nails, who took me right away and the people were very pleasant. Don't waste your time at Soho in Weaverville.
I just called to see about making an appointment.I then called a different salon, and big difference. The person who answered here was not friendly and didn’t even say goodbye, lol. He seemed pressed when I asked about appointments (they don't take them today), okay, cool, are you usually busier around a certain time? could be 5 min or 2 hours…okay, thanks, I say with a friendly response, and he just hangs up. Lol Pretty hostile for a service business, that’s walk-in based.
I get working with the public is hard. Maybe have a range of times, a friendlier spiel. It was like he was offended because I asked a question, and more like unsure how to be serviceable, so 2 stars because he ultimately got to suggesting calling closer to the time. Great.
I don’t typically leave reviews like this, but when I called the next place they had the same set up, but were totally cool, 30 second call, friendly, easy, and I’ll go wait there for 5 min-2 hours.
I would not recommend this place. My entire manicure took 15 minutes. The lady was rushing because I was her last appointment. She didn't have me wash my hands before applying the gel. So the nail filings were all over my nails. Then, my gel polish started popping off after 3 days. They said I could come back within two weeks to get them fixed and I don't need an appointment. I went in to ask for them to fix the chips and she said they're busy come back another time. What a waste of money.
Polish never stays on! Gel polish is coming off in 2 days. Happens all the time yet I return because of walk in convenience. Not anymore!!!! Im wasting way to much money and trips to have them repaired . Prices keep going up each trip. Charging $10 extra to remove polish now! So your charged $25 gel polish to put on then to remove your old polish they add on an extra $10! So 35 for gel finger nails. they Also charged an extra 5 for using 2 colors on my nails. Not a design just 1 nail a different color. Never again!!! Also 2 of my nails were literally torn off in the process. Extremely painful!!! last & Worst experience ever at this nail salon.
I had an acrylic fill-in. I was in and out in 30 minutes and they look great! As was the price! Very professional service.
Worse nail experience ever. Was over $80 for gel nails. First off the guy made my fingers bleed. Not one but 8 fingers. The place was nasty. They didn’t put a towel down to do my nails. My arms was in pieces of nail and powder. So disgusting. The nail tech also had bubbles in the gel. I asked him to fix and him fixing made cracks all in them. One Day after getting nails done, the gel polish has chipped. The gel is uneven and there are cracks all in it. I have polish on my skin. Save your money and do it yourself. It looks like a 12 year old did my nails. I could have done a better job!
Soho was such a wonderful experience. They do a beautiful job.
