Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent gel manicure quality: Some customers complain about the durability of gel manicures. They mention that the gel polish chips or peels off within a week or two, or even within a day or two in some cases. This inconsistency affects the value for money and leaves customers feeling disappointed.
2. High prices: One customer finds the prices of the salon to be expensive compared to the quality of the service received. They mention that the price tag does not match the quality of the gel manicure, making it feel like a waste of money.
3. Poor service for gel/acrylic removal: One customer had a negative experience with the removal of gel and acrylic nails. They mention that it took an incredibly long time and resulted in bleeding. They also express frustration with the lack of proper nail care during the manicure portion.
4. Nail discomfort and blood under nails: Another customer reports experiencing pain and coagulated blood under their nails a week after their appointment. This indicates that the service may have caused some damage or injury to the nails.
Overall, Sophia Nails & Spa has several strengths that contribute to a positive customer experience, including excellent nail and pedicure services, a calm and clean atmosphere, and a welcoming staff. However, there are areas that need improvement, such as the quality and durability of gel manicures, the consistency of service during gel/acrylic removal, and ensuring proper nail care to avoid discomfort and injury.

I absolutely love my nails and toes. Sophia hooked me up with my colors thanks lady. I also love the calm and clean atmosphere and the conversations I had with Sophia and her other client it was like we knew each other for years. By the way this was my first time there highly recommended. The older lady did my pedicure and she didn't rush at all you will definitely get your money's worth. I was on a time crunch with my nails I has to pick up my son but they still made me look glamorous. I will be back new family. Peace and love ✌???? ❤ ????
I love this place. The owner and employees are sooo nice. I usually get an acrylic overlay with gel polish. The color never chips or peels which is good for me because I only have time to get my nails done once a month ???? Another thing I appreciate is each staff member knows their strengths. You don't have to worry about them sitting you in front of someone who can't do what you requested.
Very nice employees but unfortunately not worth the price. I get a gel manicure everytime I go. The gel lasts a week or two, if I'm lucky. A few times, it didn't even last me a day or two. I used to go at least once a month but decided it was a waste of money. Wish the quality matched the price tag.
New customer for life. About a week ago I went to another location in Chester and got poor service and my nails were falling off chipping peeling and the service rendered just wasn't as friendly as I preferred. I happened to be in Glen Allen for my boyfriend's doctor appointment and I called around the area and decided to go to Sophia nails and spa. The second picture is what I showed them and it's not that often you get something off of Google photos and get exactly that on your nails. I was the last person to show up for the night and all of the staff was very friendly and we had multiple conversations including how my boyfriend should pay me $10 if he wants me to scratch his back. At the other place they never massaged your hands after your nails were done and I was surprised when Sophia started doing that. He even told me a thing or two about the job the last place did and told me things to look out for when getting my nails done professionally to know if I want to come back or not. The price was even more pleasing than what I expected after doing research for other nail salons. Let's just say I thought it would be closer to 200 and it was only double digits. Overall very satisfied from the cleanliness of the salon the staff building rapport with me as a new customer and the service was to die for. I definitely found my new home salon.
The services that were rendered, were spa pedicure, removal of gel/acrylic, and manicure. The older woman who gave me the spa pedicure did an amazing job. However, when it came to the removal of the gel/acrylic on my nails, I received terrible service from the man that sits in the back left corner. It took him nearly an hour and a half to remove the gel and acrylic (I thought, like my previous nail salon in Alexandria, they would soak my nails with cotton balls and aluminum foil, but instead he used the nail drill to remove the acrylic and gel). Once finished, he then started cleaning the dead skin around my nails and nicked me and I bled. Furthermore, when came time for the manicure portion (Or the massage part), he rubbed lotion on my hands and that was it. Now, a week later, my nails hurt, and I have coagulated blood under most of my nails. Very upsetting experience! Oh and the total cost of all of this came to $90.
The best hands down. I am the pickiest and never very satisfied with my nails, until I started seeing Sophia! Also always great conversations ????
Sophia did my nails and her mother did my feet. They did an excellent job. The staff are all so nice and accommodating. I will definitely becoming back to this salon again.
Amazing! Roth and Sophia were so friendly and got me situated with what I wanted. I really enjoy how they actually listen to you...for instance I have a huge gash on my finger and Roth ensured he wasn't bothering it. Sophia also does an amazing job with designs! obsessed!
