Quick Facts About Sorrento's Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine
Sorrento's Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. One of the most mentioned strengths is the tasty and authentic Mediterranean food. This indicates that the restaurant is successful in maintaining the flavors and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean region, which is appreciated by customers. The freshness of the ingredients is also highlighted by multiple comments, suggesting that the restaurant prioritizes quality ingredients in its dishes.
The friendly and helpful staff is another strength mentioned by customers. This indicates that the restaurant provides excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and pleasant dining experience. The cozy vibe and beautiful decor are also mentioned positively, suggesting that the atmosphere of Sorrento's is warm and inviting. It is described as a great place for family dinners and events, as well as a romantic place for couples, indicating its versatility in catering to different occasions.
The rewards club/app is another strength of Sorrento's. Customers appreciate the benefits of being part of the club, such as free desserts on birthdays and special offers. The excellent pizza and desserts are also highlighted, specifically mentioning the delicious Cheesecake and Mafia Fudge Brownie. This suggests that the restaurant goes beyond just its main courses and excels in providing delectable desserts.
However, there are also some weaknesses that have been mentioned by customers. One comment mentioned that the lasagna and side salad were bland. This suggests that the flavor profile of these specific dishes may not meet the expectations of some customers who prefer stronger flavors. Additionally, there is a complaint about consistently burnt stromboli despite customer requests for it to be lightly done. This indicates a potential issue with consistency in food preparation.
Another weakness highlighted is the charging of a 3.5% fee for credit card or debit card payments. This might inconvenience customers who prefer to use cards for payment and could be seen as an unnecessary additional cost. However, it is worth noting that there is no fee for cash payments, which can be seen as a potential way for the restaurant to incentivize cash transactions.
One negative comment mentions a decline in food quality after the change in ownership. This suggests that the original owners may have had superior culinary skills or different recipes that were more to the commenter's liking. This can be seen as a drawback for customers who were fans of the previous iteration of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Sorrento's Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine has several strengths including tasty and authentic Mediterranean food, friendly and helpful staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a great rewards club/app. However, there are some weaknesses such as inconsistent food preparation, potential blandness in certain dishes, and an additional fee for card payments. Overall, the restaurant has more positive aspects that contribute to its reputation as a good dining destination for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Went back July 19, 18 ... We had a free entree because we signed up for there club ...
Decided to try something else on the menu ... My husband got full order supreme lasagna. ... The lasagna has noodles, meat sauce, cheese, mushrooms and italian sausage ... With the lasagna comes dinner salad (lettuce, 2 grape tomatoes and small cubes of mozzarella) homemade bread ...
I got the regular lasagna, noodles, cheese and meat sauce ... I had extra meat sauce $1 because I think it's too dry without it ...
We also got garlic spikes ... They are the most tender and light breadsticks. .. The spikes comes with a bowl of meat sauce for dipping ...
A much better experience
BEWARE: They charge 3.5% fee if you use credit card or debit card ... I'm Posting pictures of the card about the fees ... they had the notices behind the salt and pepper where you don't notice it ... No fee for cash ...

Best lasagna I've EVER had. Sooo amazing. Waitress was a little dingy. She messed up our order a bit but the food was so fantastic it truly didn't even matter. Wish I lived closer bc I'd most certainly be a regular.
I had a gift certificate that I needed to use. Unfortunately, it was a bad decision. This place used to have really good food but that was when it still had the original owners.
I'm not sure who decided to mix Mediterranean cuisine and Italian but it doesn't work. The food flavors were not at all what I am used to. If you have never had either of the two cuisines then you might not be as disappoint as I was. I give the food 2 thumbs down.
McDonald's on a bad day would have been better.
The building and dinning area has so much potential but overall I would save your money.
This place is excellent. The food is great, love the pasta and the bread. The pizza is really good also. Hard to find a place with such good food like this one. You can't go wrong eating here.
