Quick Facts About The Fishermans

The Fisherman's Place, now renamed Little Common Fish Grill, has received a range of comments that highlight both its strengths and weaknesses. In order to fully understand these aspects, we must analyze the comments provided.
One of the main strengths of The Fisherman's Place is the quality of its fish and chips. Multiple customers have praised the taste and freshness of the food. This indicates that the establishment takes care in sourcing high-quality seafood. Additionally, the large portion sizes and fair pricing are also mentioned as positive attributes. This suggests that customers are receiving good value for their money.
Another strength of the restaurant is its variety of fish choices. It is mentioned that there is a great range of options available, which can cater to different tastes and preferences. This is likely to attract a wider customer base and provide options for individuals with dietary restrictions or preferences.
The popularity of The Fisherman's Place is also mentioned as a strength. The fact that one customer has been a regular for five years indicates that the establishment has built up a loyal clientele. This can be seen as a testament to the quality of the food and service.
Efficient service is also noted as a strength, with customers recommending ordering takeaway in advance to avoid queues. This suggests that the establishment values customer convenience and takes steps to minimize waiting times. Additionally, the comment about quick service during takeouts indicates that staff are attentive and work efficiently to serve customers.
However, there are also a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer complains about the excessive talking by the waitresses, which made them feel ignored. Additionally, another customer mentions that telephone orders seemed to be processed quicker than those who queued outside. This can be seen as a discrepancy in the service provided, which may lead to dissatisfaction among customers.
Another weakness mentioned is regarding a specific incident where the fish did not meet the customer's expectations. This could signify a lapse in quality control or a one-off mistake. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that this was mentioned as an unusual occurrence and not reflective of the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, The Fisherman's Place, now known as Little Common Fish Grill, offers excellent fish and chips with a good range of options. Customers appreciate the quality and taste of the food, as well as the fair pricing and generous portions. The establishment's popularity and loyal customer base are also strengths. However, there seem to be instances of inconsistent customer service, such as excessive talking among staff or discrepancies between phone and in-person orders. It is important for the restaurant to address these issues in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Overall, The Fisherman's Place/Little Common Fish Grill is recommended for its food, though improvements in customer service may be necessary.

Very good fish and chips. Not too big but probably need one portion of chips between 2. Great range of fish choices.
Been a customer almost every week since moving nearby 5 years ago. Found it best to order takeaway in advance by phone as it's popularity means there is often a queue. Not had any reason to complain about the food, staff or service at all.
New owners modernised and renamed it Little Common Fish Grill. I still recommend it.
Tried for the first time. Very impressed good portion good qualty
Freshly cooked and very tasty.
Large portion and fairly priced.
Only complaint would be telephone orders seemed to be processed quicker than those of us queuing outside!
Lovely fish and chips, friendly staff, and quick service. Everything cooked fresh! Only take outs at the moment, good precautions taken to protect customers.
The two waitresses were constantly talking and we just felt like we were interiority them. We also have then £20.50 to pay a bill of £10.50 and the waitress almost gave us the wrong change. I understand people mess up, but I felt this coupled with the amount of gossiping was just unprofessional. HOWEVER the food was great and it was great value for money. I would recommend the place for food but not if you want someone to talk to you with an ounce of respect :)
Been buying my cod and chips from The Fishermans for several years , it can get busy at peak times so best to order for collection. Staff always friendly and sociable and I've never been disappointed with the excellent fish and chips served.
Tonight was a very disappointing meal. The fish did not look or taste like Haddock it was thin and a grey colour, the chips were reheated. It is most unusual as we normally have a great takeaway.I do hope this was a one off.
