Lou is simply the best. He literally is such a kind individual where every-time I show up for a haircut, he gives the best service and provides a detailed fade cut each time.
His shop itself is very well maintained and clean and if you have an appointment he will seat you right away. His assistant is also very nice and is helpful in providing accommodations and assisting Lou and keeping the shop perfectly clean.
I recommend him to everyone who asks about wanting a great barber. I've gone to him for about a year now and will continue to go. I look forward to every-time I get a cut at his shop.
I've been getting my HAIRCUT with "Lou" at the Harbor Barber Shop on the corner of PCH & Superior Ave for about 3 years. I am primarily a "walk-in" customer. Cost for a standard men's haircut is $20, up from $15 two years ago. Very quick turn-around. Today I was in & out in 15-20 min. No wait. Lou is an excellent men's barber, and very intuitive in shaping the haircut for you. He trims beards well. I highly recommend this barber shop. Parking just steps away. I've always gotten a parking spot, even at peak times in the Summer. The barber shop is located right next to two coffee/donut shops, a beef bowl, a liquor store, a scuba shop, Jack N Box, and two dine in restaurants. By appointment or walk-ins.
Inside is comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. The service is amazing! I felt welcomed and the haircut was on point and everything I asked for. What usually takes my barber about 30 minutes to cut, he did in about 5 minutes. Lou is a master of his craft.
I came to Newport visiting family the weekend after the holiday. My barber was closed in AZ so I decided to try a barber in Newport. Lu did an amazing job, nice high fade and beard trim. Very professional and great pricing.
