Quick Facts About The Orchards
The Orchards Place, based on the comments provided, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses. Let's analyze them in detail.
Strengths:
1. Well-Maintained Parking Lot: One commenter commended The Orchards Place for keeping the parking lot smooth and even, in good repair, and plowed during snowy conditions. This attention to maintenance contributes to a positive shopping experience for customers.
2. Efficient Parking Layout: The use of 90-degree parking stalls and wide lanes was praised by a customer. This organized layout prevents confusion and accidents, making parking easier and safer for shoppers.
3. Tenants are Sticking Around: Despite previous struggles faced by businesses at The Orchards Place, a long-time visitor noted that the current businesses seem to be sticking and are of decent quality. The stability of the current tenants implies that they are successful and meeting the needs of customers.
4. Popular Businesses: The Orchards Place houses several popular businesses, including Harmon's grocery, Dairy Queen, and Red Fuego. These establishments attract customers and contribute to the overall appeal of the shopping center.
5. Harmon's Grocery: One commenter specifically praised Harmon's grocery as their favorite grocer in Utah. They highlighted the store's extensive range of specialized items, including impressive selections of chocolate and imported cheese. The cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff were also mentioned positively.
6. Convenient Location: The Orchards Place's proximity to Provo Canyon was appreciated by a customer, who stated that it made it a convenient stop for those heading up the canyon. The accessibility and easy traffic flow in and out of the shopping center were also mentioned positively.
Weaknesses:
1. High Turnover: One comment expressed concern about the frequent changes in the other stores located in the strip-mall section. This high turnover rate can be seen as a weakness as it implies possible instability and inconsistency in the retail landscape of The Orchards Place.
2. Limited Variety: Despite the presence of popular businesses like Harmon's grocery, Dairy Queen, and JCW's, one commenter felt that the variety of stores in The Orchards Place was lacking. This perception suggests that there may be limited options available for shoppers looking for a diverse shopping experience.
3. Quality Issues at Great Clips: A specific comment mentioned that the Great Clips salon located next to Harmon's grocery had hit-or-miss quality cuts. This inconsistency in service quality can create a negative impression among potential customers.
In conclusion, The Orchards Place has several strengths, including a well-maintained parking lot, efficient parking layout, stable businesses, popular tenants, and a convenient location. However, it also faces weaknesses such as high turnover in the strip-mall section, limited variety of stores, and potential quality issues at certain establishments. Despite these weaknesses, the positive aspects of The Orchards Place contribute to the overall appeal of the shopping center and its ability to attract and retain customers.
Best TL Reviews
How do I rate this? Is it just a parking lot? Or maybe a strip mall where the anchor store will probably stay while the others painfully pay that high lease every month until it just becomes unbearable and the store is too far off the beaten path, so the store owner re-thinks their life choices and then closes up shop? I can't really rate the other stores in the strip-mall part as they change too frequently.
Thank you for keeping the parking lot smooth and even, in good repair and plowed when there is snow. It looks like you went with the 90 degree parking stalls, and wide lanes-- none of that mess of arrows pointing everywhere and the drivers who go down the wrong way. So, good job with that.
I want to address another review I saw. This place is called The Orchards Because years ago when I moved here the area used to have a ton of apple orchards. Now, not so much, but things changed with time. There are a few around still.
I’m giving it 4 stars just because I’ve been here long enough to know that a lot of businesses have struggled here in the past. I’ve seen a lot of come and go. I can still give it a high review though because the places that are here now seem to be sticking and they are pretty decent. I’m a regular at Harmon’s. I visit Dairy Queen often and my family uses the gas station here. I’m very familiar with the area. I recommend you try Red Fuego. I love the food there.
Harmony grocery is my favorite grocer in Utah. It carries many specialized items. Their selection of chocolate is amazing. Their imported cheeses is impressive. Anything g you might need, you will find there. It's easy to find and very clean. The staff is most helpful.
They carry E3 Energy Cubes in the fridge by the protein bars. Gotta love that! Excellent produce, too.
A good shopping place with Harmon’s, Dairy Queen, and other businesses. Plenty of parking and a nice variety of stores.
Harmons holds this location together and brings in the business. Great Clips next door does ok but, hit and miss on quality cuts. Dairy Queen is in the parking lot and gets a lot of business. There seem to be a lot of ice cream eaters here. I've been there and the ice cream is good. I like JCW'S better for food and is about the same price point. But, if your rushed on time it's a good stop for continuing on up the canyon or to the freeway.
If I lived closer I might stop by this plaza a bit more. The traffic in and out of the lot usually isn't to bad and I like the fact it's close to Provo Canyon. Makes it a convient stop on the way up.
I visited Harman’s grocery. It’s a pleasant place to shop. Very clean and well organized. Go earlier in the day if you want fresh baked French bread.
