Quick Facts About The Robert Hamilton

The Robert Hamilton place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses. Starting with the strengths, one positive aspect highlighted is the prices of drinks. The comment mentions that a pint of Tennent's and a small bottle of rose prosecco were purchased for £7.55, which is considered to be great value. This affordability may attract customers looking for reasonably priced drinks.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly and attentive staff. Despite some negative experiences, certain customers had interactions with staff members who were described as helpful and friendly. For example, one comment mentions a staff member named Lorraine who provided crayons and paper to entertain a restless child. This level of service can make customers feel valued and create a positive impression.
The next strength is related to the food. In one comment, it is stated that the lunch was good value for money, with the portion size being satisfactory and the food served hot. This positive dining experience could encourage customers to return for future meals.
Moving on to weaknesses, there are several areas that need improvement. One recurring issue is the limited drink selection. Commenters mentioned that there was no real ale, normal prosecco, bottled water, or Guinness on tap. This lack of variety can be seen as a weakness for a pub, as it may limit the options available to customers and potentially deter those who have specific preferences.
Another weakness highlighted is the condition of the establishment. Multiple comments mentioned that the place was deserted, freezing, and in need of a deep clean. These observations suggest that the pub may lack a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the comment about being served a spirit in a half pint Guinness glass indicates a lack of appropriate glassware, which can be seen as unprofessional and potentially affect the overall customer experience.
In terms of service, there were multiple negative comments regarding wait times and incorrect orders. It is mentioned that the staff seemed untrained, resulting in slow and inefficient operations. This can lead to frustration and a negative perception of the pub.
Another aspect that received criticism is the menu. Customers stated that it was basic and not priced accordingly. Additionally, there were instances where items on the menu were unavailable, indicating a lack of proper planning and management. These issues may disappoint customers who expect a wider selection and fair pricing.
Lastly, the change in ownership was deemed as a downfall by some customers. The establishment is no longer a Wetherspoon's, and there seems to be a perception that the pub has lost its previous appeal and affordability. The lack of leadership is also mentioned, which can imply a lack of clear direction and organization within the establishment.
In conclusion, The Robert Hamilton place has strengths in terms of affordable drink prices, friendly staff, and satisfactory food. However, it faces weaknesses related to limited drink selection, poor establishment maintenance, slow service, basic menu options, and a perception of lacking leadership. These weaknesses may affect the overall customer experience and potentially discourage repeat visits. Improvements in these areas could help to regain the reputation and appeal the pub may have once had.

Best TL Reviews

Terrible experience. Prices of drinks were good to be fair. Had a pint of tennent's and a small bottle of rose prosecco for £7.55 which is great value. Staff were not great. Took a card payment while talking to a colleague (who was wearing a pretty shabby looking hoodie as if he was still in the house) and then walked off without any other acknowledgement of payment going through. However, there was not a good choice, lots of draughts were off, no real ale and no normal prosecco. Place was deserted and freezing at 9.30pm on a Friday. Had a dj belting out the tunes to no one. As we were leaving, having had one drink the young team were arriving, presumably for the tunes. Maybe it's just not the pub for me or remotely like the decent spoons it was. I can't imagine I'll be back I'm afraid.
I was in with my mate yesterday there was no guiness on tap so got a can for him he says it was rotten so got a bottle of beer in place of it. I had a smirnoff vodka and coke tasted horrible and the chilli nachos were just chilli doritos with far too much guacamole was nearly spilling over the plate was horrible, really disappointed.
Staff good, only 1 type of draught beer, no bottled water and restricted kitchen, i believe that this is no longer a Wetherspoon's, we won't be back
Visited with my granddaughter and her mum last week. First time visiting here for a good few years as no longer live in airdrie. Lunch was good value for money. Good sized portion and food served hot. Granddaughter (only 3 year old) was getting a bit restless. Thanks to the member of staff Lorraine who gave her some crayons and paper to colour in. Very friendly and attentive member of staff, nothing was a trouble. Would pop back again for lunch when back in the area.
Visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast. God awful service, young untrained staff running around like headless chickens. Waited 25 minutes for a small breakfast, place was empty and yet order still came out wrong. Not to mention the establishment is filthy and in desperate need of a deep clean. Won’t be back.
Really gone down hill with change of ownership no longer wetherspoons or remotely priced the same . Menu is basic and not priced accordingly. Lots of stuff unavailable. The lack of leadership is very evident.
Waited nearly 45 mins for meal when only 10 people in pub, staff not very helpful, no Salt or Tomato Sauce shocking in a place that serves food, oh & no glasses to serve a spirit got my vodka in a half pint Guinness glass, won't ever be back, but food was nice
A bit like a weatherspoons (actually used to be one). Staff have always been friendly. Foods what you pay for so can't complain. Like to stop here for pre drinks before getting the train anyway.
