Quick Facts About The Side Door Restaurant
The Side Door Restaurant has received largely positive feedback from customers, with many praising the quality of the food, the reasonable prices, and the friendly staff. These strengths contribute to the overall positive dining experience at The Side Door. However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments that should be considered as well.
One of the key strengths mentioned by multiple customers is the quality and quantity of the food. Customers have described their meals as a "good feed" and "excellent" on every visit. This indicates that the restaurant consistently delivers high-quality dishes, which is a major strength.
Additionally, the prices at The Side Door are mentioned as being very reasonable. Customers appreciate the fact that they can enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank. This affordability is likely to attract customers and can be seen as another strength for the restaurant.
The staff at The Side Door Restaurant also receive positive feedback, with customers describing them as "helpful" and "fantastic." Friendly and attentive staff can greatly enhance the dining experience, and their interactions with customers contribute to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant.
Another strength that many customers appreciate is the option to bring your own bottle (BYO) with no corkage charge. This is a unique offering that sets The Side Door apart from other establishments and can be seen as a major advantage for customers who enjoy bringing their own wine or beverages.
Despite the largely positive comments, there are a few weaknesses that should be considered. One customer mentions that the service is average, indicating that there may be room for improvement in terms of attentiveness and efficiency. Additionally, another customer mentions an issue with being charged for a jug of lukewarm water, which they feel should have been provided for free. This raises questions about the restaurant's policies and pricing.
Furthermore, one customer states that they were not asked if they wanted dessert after finishing their main course, which could be seen as a lack of attention to detail. While this may not be a major issue for everyone, it does indicate a potential weakness in the level of service.
Finally, one customer mentions a negative experience with regards to the trust and suspicion associated with a water charge. This incident reflects poorly on the restaurant's reputation for customer service and hospitality.
In conclusion, The Side Door Restaurant has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, including the quality and quantity of the food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and the option for BYO with no corkage charge. These factors contribute to a great dining experience. However, there are a few weaknesses that should be taken into account, such as average service, attention to detail, and potential issues with trust and suspicion. Overall, The Side Door appears to be a solid choice for those seeking a good meal at a reasonable price, but improvements in these areas may enhance the overall customer experience.

My hole family really enjoyed our meal at The Side Door. It was a really good feed and we did not come away hungry! I definitely recommend it!
A hidden gem in the heart of Glengormley. My girlfriend and I have been 3 times and the food has been excellent on every visit. We have been to many overpriced restaurants and this is definitely not one of them. They have BYO and no corkage charge. Staff are very helpful and friendly. If you haven't tried it yet give it a go.
Been here a few times most recent being Sunday and today. Can't fault the food or value for money service is average.Good you can BYO wine but was surprised that a jug of Luke warm water was £2.50, Sunday lunch was very good but wasn't asked if i wanted dessert when finished main course. This was not a problem so paid bill and left. Went back today and didn't want a jug of Luke warm water, but my wife had a small bottle in her bag when she poured it into the glass left by the waitress, she was told she would have to pay for it, my wife who was surprised by this just said take it away. She then asked for the bottle as if she didn't trust us. Now I assume the water payment is down to the restaurant policy and not the waitress. I have had many meals in restaurants were water is free even without buying a drink so why they charge for it is up to them. If they want to sell water sell it by the bottle from a fridge, and not in a jug from well, a tap or bottle who knows. I for one will not be back to find out.
Great place to eat. The food is excellent with a good range menu. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are excellent and interact well with customers. The added bonus is its BYO with no corkage charge. Never get tired of this place
Great food as always, staff fantastic as always, and very good value for money
