I had my nails done a few weeks ago here. I was asked to wash my hands when I entered. Everything was clean and wiped down in between guests. No tools were reused on my fingers. My nails turned out beautiful, they were one of the cleanest sets I have ever had done. And the best part, the prices were half of what I usually pay! My nail technician was incredibly nice and chatted with me, I felt genuinely cared about. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!!
I have been coming to the Nail Bar on Apalachee Parkway for years! Chris and Tina are awesome! Everyone is so friendly and the always do a great job with my acrylic nails, pedicures and wax jobs. They always work with me on my busy, hectic schedule too! I will not go anywhere else in Tallahassee! I visit there at least once if not twice a month. I have and always will recommend them to all of my friends and family. During the holidays, I buy gift certificates to give away as gifts from the Nail Bar. I highly recommend the Nail Bar to anyone that is looking for a beautiful set of hands and feet! Stop by today and tell them that Dara sent you! ????
I never write reviews but this was hands down the worst nail experience I have ever had. Had a pedicure and gel manicure. To start, I felt extremely rushed picking out a color. Within 5 minutes of me walking in, more than two employees had asked multiple times if I had a color and was ready. There were four other people in the salon at the time...not packed at all.
While I was getting my pedicure, the technician paid absolutely no attention to what he was doing, rushed through the whole thing and barely looked at my nails until he started painting. It has been two days and my pedicure is already coming off.
Not to mention, I placed my bag on the floor (since there was stuff on the arm rest) and the chair leaked all over, ruining an expensive purse. This would have been more acceptable (I recognize that its not the employees' fault the chair leaked) had an employee at least acknowledged the purse was ruined and damp. All they did was plunk the wet purse down into my lap without a word about the water damage. (The next day I went in to see the owner and he completely blamed it on me and took no responsibility for his leaking chairs or inconsiderate employee).
Now...on to my gel manicure. They were equally non-attentive during the manicure and got the gel nail polish all over the place. Its on the side of my fingernail beds, uneven and a little messed up in places from where he smudge it. It was sloppy work with dirty tools that were just sprayed with rubbing alcohol to "clean" them. At that point, I didn't care because I just wanted to get out of there.
I would not recommend going there ever. Basically, horrible customer service, sloppy work and dirty tools.
I started getting my nails done by Tina and her husband Chris in 2003 on the NW side of town where I live and work. They moved over to Nail Bar (Brandon's shop) a few years ago and I followed them because I won't go anywhere else. I don't even have to tell them what I want - they just know what I want (I'm a creature of habit!). Although they're not mind-readers (no one is!), so if I want my nails a little shorter or a little something different, I just ask and it's taken care of with a smile. Everyone in the shop is friendly and knows my name when I call or walk in - I'm always made to feel welcome. I always have a good time when I'm there, catching up with what's going on with them and other customers. Brandon, Tina, Chris, Tre, Mom and the other employees are always friendly and ask me how I'm doing and what I've been up to in the 2 weeks since I was there last. I rarely have to wait for service but if I do, I just sign in and go next door for a little shopping or I sit and read for a few minutes. I've had a few pedicures by some newer employees so I just explain what I want and they take care of me! I've referred several of my friends to Nail Bar and everyone is pleased with the service they receive and continue to go back. I have NEVER received subpar service or less-than-friendly demeanor from anyone at Nail Bar and will always go there. They're always on top of current trends (feathers, gel manicures, lash extensions, special pedicures, etc.) and they're even opening a second store soon that will offer the same services and MORE. I'm so glad to see them doing well and offering new and different services to Tallahassee. They really care about their customers' satisfaction with the services received and will do what they can to ensure your satisfaction!
"Great!" It's my feeling. Their skilled and friendly team welcomed everyone & added to the relaxed and fun atmosphere. The service and atmosphere is just the Best!! It's hard to find a nice place in Tallahassee and Nail Bar is the best nail salon I've found so far. It's very clean and the people were very nice. I'll definitely be going back!
I went there for a pedicure. The female didn't do a great job at all. I had to tell her different times on things she missed. Didn't clean under the toe nails. The Polish job is very sloppy, no even coats at all. Didn't offer me a drink (water or soda) I had to ask when EVERYONE got asked would they like a drink. I'm not sure if I'm returning. If so I wouldn't go to her EVER AGAIN....Thanks.
I went to Nail Bar today with a group of friends for a friend's Birthday with my daughter and son. I was appalled at the way the employees rushed everyone to pick their color and get down to business. I got a full set and the man that did my nails was very rude and would not even speak to me when I spoke to him. He and the man next to him were talking in their language and laughing during most of my visit. My daughter got a pedicure in under 15 minutes. I realize that they are a busy establishment and that they are fast, but the quality of service was poor to say the least. My son got his first manicure just to see what it was like and the lady that did his service was also very rude. Like me, he was trying to make small talk and was also blatantly ignored. His manicure was also finished rather quickly. My friend took my daughter to the pet store after they were finished with their pedicures and one of the employees tried to accuse her of not paying for my daughter's services when I was clearly sitting a couple of chairs down getting my nails done.
I have been to Nail Bar on Thomasville Road and the service is unbelievably wonderful!! It is literally like night and day if comparing the Thomasville and Parkway locations.
I do NOT recommend going here. If you want a pleasant experience, go to the Thomasville Road location instead!!
I‘ve been a regular at this place since I moved to tally back in 2011. I have never had a bad experience until today. The guy who did my feet and nails was awesome, but I had an event to go to and couldn’t wait for the lady to do single eyelashes. I told her I’m sorry I’ll come back next time for singles, and she checked me out and never gave me a receipt or say “ see you next time”. I was shocked! I’m done with them as I never knew it was a big deal because I couldn’t do something.
