Quick Facts About Universal Golf
Universal Golf Place is a dinosaur-themed mini golf facility that offers a variety of strengths and weaknesses. Let's analyze them in detail.
Strengths:
1. Good fun for all: Universal Golf Place provides an enjoyable experience for both children and adults. It offers entertainment for the littlest ones, making it a great destination for families.
2. Unique theme: The dinosaur-themed environment, complete with flowing waterfalls, adds an element of excitement and adventure to the mini golf experience. It creates an immersive atmosphere that enhances the overall enjoyment.
3. Equipment selection: The facility boasts a great selection of golf clubs and general equipment. This ensures that players have access to the necessary tools to enhance their game.
4. Reasonable prices: Visitors report that the prices at Universal Golf Place are neither overpriced nor excessively cheap. This affordability makes it accessible to a wide range of individuals, attracting both casual players and serious golf enthusiasts.
5. Clean and well-maintained: The facility is described as clean, indicating that Universal Golf Place prioritizes hygiene and provides a pleasant environment for guests to enjoy their golfing experience.
6. Additional amenities: Universal Golf Place offers a café/bar, providing the opportunity for players to relax and socialize after a game. This allows visitors to extend their enjoyment beyond the golf course.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of staff interaction: Some visitors mention that they did not have any interaction with staff during their visit. This absence of customer service could be a drawback for those who value personalized assistance or have inquiries or concerns.
2. Inactive waterfalls: While the facility has flowing waterfalls, some visitors report that they were not in operation during their visit. This could be disappointing for those expecting a fully immersive dinosaur-themed experience.
3. Ball purchase process: Customers have raised concerns about the process of purchasing balls at Universal Golf Place. Instead of being able to directly purchase balls from vending machines, they must pay the staff, who then acquire the balls. This indirect transaction process has been criticized for being inconvenient and potentially dubious.
4. Negative feedback on Top Tracer: One visitor comments that the Top Tracer technology at Universal Golf Place is subpar. The specific issues are not elaborated upon, but this criticism suggests that the facility's tracking system may not meet the expectations of some players.
5. Zombie-like staff: Another comment refers to the staff as "zombies," implying a lack of enthusiasm or engagement from the employees. This can potentially create a less welcoming atmosphere for visitors seeking a positive social experience.
6. Limitations on level 17: While Universal Golf Place offers 17 different levels, one visitor notes that level 17 automatically collects the ball and prevents further play. This limitation could be frustrating for individuals looking to challenge themselves on the highest level repeatedly.
In summary, Universal Golf Place offers a fun and enjoyable experience for players of all ages, boasting a unique dinosaur-themed setting and a good selection of equipment. The facility also provides additional amenities such as a café/bar, adding to the overall appeal. However, some weaknesses include a lack of staff interaction, inactive waterfalls, and a potentially cumbersome ball purchase process. The negative feedback on Top Tracer and the demeanor of the staff are additional concerns. Despite these weaknesses, Universal Golf Place still presents itself as a viable option for those seeking an entertaining mini golf experience.
Best TL Reviews
Good fun for us and the littlest ones. Dinosaur themed with flowing waterfalls although they weren't in operation on our visit. The last hole collects the balls just SO's you know.
Great selection of golf clubs and general equipment. No interaction with any colleagues during my visit, so no comment can be provided on service levels. Prices were what you'd expect to pay, not overpriced nor silly cheap. Reccomend a visit if you want to upgrade current equipment
Great place so much here for adults and children
Top tracer is pants. Staff are zombies and you can't purchase at the vending machines you have to pay the staff who then get it for you. Looks as dodgy as it sounds.
The boy is obsessed and even though I really embarrassed myself I too enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable. It's clean. Has a cafe/bar.
You can play 17 different levels. If you are alone you can just repeat as much as you want but not the level 17 since the hole will just automatically collect your ball and pass it to the counter. It's a great experience if you bring your friends especially if they have no experience at all.
Great facilities. Little café, beer if you want it. But last few times I've gone the best additions are the ball tracker and game system. And the additional shelves and stool's so if you have company and the person has no interest in playing and wants to read a book or work on a laptop. Or it's your golf crew who all want to sit down. You have these options. Plus the mini golf the opposite side. I've not been to it but it does look absolutely incredible.
Excellent driving range, better than most clubs, two tier bays, nicely covered with heating available. 250yds for longer hitters, and track/trace technology provides instant feedback on trajectory/distance etc. Space for food/drink as well, and accommodates four people per bay. Impressive.
