Quick Facts About Universal Nails

Universal Nails Strengths:
1. Clean and sanitary environment: One customer mentioned that Universal Nails is clean, which is an important factor when choosing a nail salon. A clean and hygienic environment ensures the safety and well-being of customers.
2. Long-lasting nails: Another customer praised Universal Nails for their long-lasting manicures. This suggests that the salon uses high-quality products and techniques that result in nails that stay in good condition for an extended period of time.
3. Skilled nail technicians: Despite some negative experiences, one customer mentioned that they have always had great experiences with a particular nail technician. This indicates that there are skilled and talented professionals working at Universal Nails who consistently deliver satisfactory results.
4. Convenient location: A customer who recently moved to the area found Universal Nails to be conveniently located, making it easily accessible for customers in the area. This is a valuable strength as it allows for convenience and easy access for customers.
Universal Nails Weaknesses:
1. Declining service quality: One long-time customer expressed disappointment with the declining service quality at Universal Nails. They mentioned that the staff has become rude and inattentive, leaving customers waiting without any explanation or apology. This indicates a lack of professionalism and customer service.
2. Appointment delays: Another customer stated that even though they made an appointment, they still had to wait for more than 40 minutes to be seen. This suggests that the salon may not effectively manage their appointment schedule, resulting in delays and inconveniences for customers.
3. Increasing prices: Some customers have noticed that the prices at Universal Nails have been steadily increasing. This can be a disadvantage for customers who find the services to be overpriced, especially if they require regular visits.
4. Inconsistent quality: Several customers mentioned that their experiences at Universal Nails varied depending on the nail technician. This indicates a lack of consistency in service quality and suggests that there may be a need for better training or quality control measures at the salon.
5. Negative experiences during the pandemic: One customer mentioned that their experiences at Universal Nails during the pandemic were particularly bad. They encountered issues such as receiving the incorrect finish, having their nails filed too thin resulting in breakage, and chipped nails within days of the appointment. Additionally, they had to wait for a long time despite having made an appointment. These negative experiences during a challenging time could indicate a lack of adaptability and proper precautions being taken by the salon.
In conclusion, Universal Nails has some strengths such as a clean environment, long-lasting nails, skilled technicians, and a convenient location. However, they also have weaknesses including declining service quality, appointment delays, increasing prices, inconsistent quality, and negative experiences during the pandemic. These weaknesses highlight areas where Universal Nails could improve in order to provide a better experience for their customers.

Best TL Reviews

I have been a loyal customer for 5 years now. I have my nails done every 2-3 weeks and over the past year service has gone down hill. Staff is rude and does not acknowledge you. They will leave you waiting for 30 minutes in a chair without even a "Hey sorry for the delay...". I am finding a new salon with better service.
I really loved universal nails! They are clean and their nails last, but the last few times I went there was always an issue.I always made an appointment....which they frown upon if you don't make one... but when you do they're always backed up and you are waiting for your appointment for 40 plus mins
I've been going to Universal Nails for a long time. It seems to be getting very expensive. They charge for length, they charge for the shape, and 8n general it went up in price. If you tip, you pay $50.00 for a not short, ot too long nail dip. To have this done every 2-3 wks... $100.00 per month is crazy. Good for those who can do it.
I have gone here for years and recently since the pandemic i have had horrible experiences, i left last friday with a matte finish when i wanted the normal glossy finish with my gel manicure, my nails were filed so thin that they ended up breaking in half they are my natural nails as well so ouch. and my nail is already chipped ( i went 02.09.21its only been two days. ) i left leaving only a $2 tip because i left very disappointed with my nails. this is my first terrible experience. not only did i leave disappointed but i made an appointment and still waited an extra 45 minutes to leave disappointed. i will never go back.
I live in western mass, my best friend is down visiting decided to take her for a pedicure, also I’m going on vacation next week. Honest to God this was the worst pedicure and experience I’ve ever had. She cut me, then she put my foot in 1000 degree water, then freezing water, barely scrubbed my feet at all, lathered lotion all over my legs and left it and just got a hot towel to wipe it off, then moved me from the pedicure chair to a rolly chair where she took her shoes off sat on the floor and painted my toes which is so awkward and weird, then half way through the painting another lady took over because she “needed her desk” one foot looks okay painted the other one is all sloppy polish all on my skin. However my best friends toes came out amazing, her girl was nice and attentive even gave her spiderwebs on her toes. I don’t recommend this salon whatsoever ever unless you have a specific nail tech in mind
I have always had great experiences with the same person. However, she was not working today and I needed to remove dip, toe nail polish and facial waxing today. So I went in hoping for the same experience. Not at all. Pedi and mani had no lotions ,fingers were barely filed (2 broken before I left parking lot, hair supposedly waxed wasn’t removed nor was the wax. Not to mention that I didn’t even need dip or color as I had to remove it all for surgery! Will only go back for my requested professional or someone she recommends. Paid nearly $100 and will need to go back (or somewhere else) the end of the week!
I always have bad experiences here, it’s been a few months so I thought I would give it another try. This man did my acrylics, he was not careful at all! He filed my nails so roughly, it hurt so much. I left the salon with six little cuts along the cuticles of my finger nails, my nails are short when I wanted them long, they are terribly filed i’m just really disappointed. He let the nail glue dry all over my fingers.. and i’m never coming back again.
I recently moved to Narragansett and was looking for a place to get a pedicure. Universal is convenient and I had passed it a number of times but a few of the reviews gave me pause. I decided to go anyway and I’m sure glad I did. Being a business owner myself, I know that many times happy people never say anything while the unhappy souls in life live to hide behind a keyboard and spread venom. This place was great. I’m happy with the service and end result. I had the basic pedicure and it was $25. I’d like to also mention- I worked in the beat industry for 25 years and am a discerning consumer.
