Weaknesses: 1. Slow service: One of the main criticisms mentioned in the comments is the slow service at the hotel. A guest complained that a three-course meal took an excessive 2.5 hours. Slow service can negatively impact the overall experience, as guests may become frustrated and dissatisfied.
2. Old and unclean facilities: Multiple guests expressed disappointment with the condition of the hotel. They mentioned old furniture, stained carpets, and walls in need of repair. This indicates that the hotel may not be investing in regular maintenance and updates, resulting in an unclean and outdated environment.

4. Inadequate security and safety concerns: One comment mentioned a disturbing incident where a guest reported a man entering their room while they were sleeping. This raises concerns about the hotel's security measures and guest safety.
5. Low-quality amenities: Another guest mentioned that the pool was empty, and the drinks were expensive. This suggests that the hotel may not invest in providing quality amenities and might charge high prices for subpar offerings.
6. Inconsistent cleanliness: Multiple guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dirty carpets, stained beds, and mold in the bathroom. A hotel's cleanliness is an essential factor for guests, and consistent maintenance is necessary to meet guests' expectations.
Based on the comments, it is evident that the Wolverhampton Goldthorn Hotel has significant weaknesses, particularly regarding slow service, cleanliness, and outdated facilities. These issues can significantly impact guests' experiences and can ultimately deter potential visitors from booking with the hotel. However, it's worth noting that there are some strengths, including good quality food, attractive room decoration, large number of beds, and friendly staff. Addressing the weaknesses identified in the feedback would be crucial for the hotel to improve its reputation and to provide a better experience for its guests.

Best TL Reviews

Das Essen war qualitativ sehr gut, aber der Service viel zu langsam - das 3 Gänge Menü hat 2,5 Stunden gedauert.
Zimmer in Ordnung, schön eingerichtet, Matratzen sein weich
super viele Betten
I had to stay in my 10-day quarantine here. The hotel is very old. Stains in the carpet and walls. My room had spiders. The WiFi barely works (I was unable to stream Netflix for example). The food was plain and with no flavour. One day I noticed that in one of the walls, someone had wrote in very tiny letters "Tom was here". I wonder if he made it out alive. Oh, did I mention the spiders?
Overall, one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
I had a horrible time at this hotel. Had to stay here after coming from abroad to quarantine. Service was horrible, staff were rude and they served us pork on multiple occasions. I would not recommend this hotel at all. It’s unclean and not safe at all. We had a man walk into our room at night while we were asleep. Our door was locked so I don’t know how he managed to get through. Management were no help at all and they often served us food from the day before. Definitely had the worst stay there. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL AT ALL!!!
The pool was empty which was disappointing because it was 30+ degrees outside. The drinks weren't cheap, a drink cost almost £10. The room was filthy, we asked for a change and i have to admit the staff were amazing! They changed our room. The set 3 course evening meal was tasty, the usual selection of roast dinner, fish and a vegetarian option. The walls of the hotel echoed, we must have been near stairs because all through the night we had banging doors and steps, one lady got stuck in her room at 7am and they were banging and shouting to get her out. Looked like new beds and clean sheets. We got a broken shower so the only option was cold and freezing, luckily it was so hot the cold shower was refreshing. To summarise, it's cheap and basic which is okay for one night.
I booked a room here on internet and the check in, just half an hour later, was fast, friendly and completely uncomplicated.
The room self and the bathroom were both clean and spacious. The beds very comfortable.
All the around the staff is very friendly.
The best is that the hotel bar is open 24/7, which leaded to a longer night up than expected and an oversleep on the check out time. But that as well wasn't a problem, just leaded to a good laugh with the Lady at the reception.
I Had to spend 10 days of my quarntine in this hotel
The room provided to me had such a dirty carpet that It made me cringe.
The bed mattress is worn and springs out of balance and smelled of urine at the foot end
It gave me a severe back ache and I had to resort to sleeping on the floor after laying a sheet that I bought online.
The quarantine manager (a female ) was very rude.
Receptionist would tell you that they will ring you back but would never do.
And to the Irony is that I had to pay 1750 for this filthy room and worse service.
Very dirty carpet that was frayed around the edges and badly fitted.
Boards under carpet missing in places.
Stained bed.
Very poor condition leather look seats with lots of the covering missing.
Board bath panel was disgusting.
Bed light shades crumbling
TV was a long way from the bed.
Mould around bathroom window frame.
Was only £50 though....my tight employers, thank you!
Bed linen was nice and clean but should use fitted sheets.
Receptionist was nice and friendly.
Sorry but deffo won't be going back there.
