Weaknesses of Annie's Nails & Tanning Salon:
1. Poor nail polish durability: One customer mentions that the nail polish applied at the salon lasted only one week before it started coming off. This suggests that the quality of the nail polish or the application process may need improvement.
2. Lack of listening and customer service: One comment states that the salon worker did not listen to instructions and disregarded the customer's request. Additionally, the commenter mentions that another salon employee attempted to force a larger tip. This indicates a lack of attention to customer preferences and an uncomfortable customer service experience.
3. Language barrier and discriminatory behavior: One customer mentions an incident where the salon staff spoke in their language, making derogatory remarks about Spanish people's hair and asking the customer to go to a different salon. This indicates a discriminatory attitude and unprofessional behavior, reflecting poorly on the salon's values.
4. High pricing and confusing tipping system: One customer mentions that the salon charges an excessive amount for acrylic nails and charges separately for the length of nails. Additionally, the commenter mentions that multiple people work on the nails, leading to confusion about who to tip. This suggests a lack of transparency in pricing and tipping, which can be frustrating for customers.
5. Rude and rough service: One customer mentions a negative interaction with a nail technician who was rude and rough during the manicure experience. This indicates a lack of professionalism and customer care, potentially leading to a negative customer experience.
In conclusion, Annie's Nails & Tanning Salon has strengths in its friendly staff, skillful nail technicians, hair services, and competitive pricing. However, there are weaknesses in the durability of nail polish, lack of listening and customer service, language barrier and discriminatory behavior, high pricing and confusing tipping system, and instances of rude and rough service. These weaknesses highlight areas for improvement to enhance the overall customer experience at the salon.

Initially the nails looked nice although the layer of the nail polish seemed excessive. I was going for a vacation in Europe and wanted gel nails. After 1 week everything comes off. I have to do my nails here because at this time I am embarrassed to show my hand. I will not be going to this salon anymore.
I have been going to salon for awhile, everyone is always pleasant. They are all welcoming which is huge for me. My nails are always done to my liking and my daughter is always happy. Candy does my nails-I absolutely love her. My girls also get their haircut and Min is amazing. I definitely recommend trying their service.
Worker doesn't listen to instructions on nails even after repeating times on what the request is. During payment a lady was telling me how much I should tip and kept attempting to force a larger tip. Stay away from this place.
I went to this salon to get my hair done several times the Chinese gentleman who does my hair and the lady who does the nails kept lying to me about booking a hair appointment claimed the gentleman was booked called next day I called next day and when I called they starting talking on they language and said go to a different salon we don’t like Spanish people’s hair because my hair is hard and we don’t do Spanish people’s hair and it’s not the Chinese gentleman is always on his phone MIND YOU THE NEW OWNER IS RUDE AND IVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS
My experience here was at first Pleasant but then turned into a nightmare; the manicurist was nice at first but then when asked for her to fix something she became very nasty. The Work it’s self ( mail shaping) was great, which that part I give ⭐️⭐️⭐️ however the price is out rages for acrylic nails, anywhere you go you pay $25 for a full set maybe $35. They charge for length of nails like what!?!? Your cutting some off so how do u charge for that? ???? and another thing… they have multiple people working on your nails, so you end up tipping three maybe four people because you don’t know who to tip, so your left feeling bad if you only tip one. so not only have they made out on the price of the nails but they’ve also made out on Tips very weird set up. I would never recommend anyone to go here. $200+ tips for two full sets of acrylic not “gel” not any of that other fancy new stuff but acrylic. Outrageous!!!!
I would give 0 stars if I could. I used to come here all the time, this is the first time I came to this place under their new ownership and they are failing this place. It used to be packed on saturdays but it was empty, I thought I came at a good time but now I know why it was empty. Pedicure was fine, rushed but fine. My gel manicure was bumpy at the end, the lady said I didn’t put it in the Uv long enough but I removed it when she told me to! Then a different lady came to redo the top coat and she was rough, it was painful and she kept asking if I was using the uv light correctly….I’m sorry is there another way other than placing my hand inside? After she was done she looked at my hands, threw them at the plastic barrier and said “good right?”. Unbelievable. Never have I come across such a rude and rough nail lady. If you’re thinking of coming here, just drive the extra 20 mins to Cindy’s (previous owner) new place in Middletown. Not worth it and very disappointed.
I’ve been going to this nail place for a year. I haven’t let anyone else do my nails, but Candy. That’s because, she was the first person to do them when I started so I stuck with her. She is really good! She takes her time and she makes sure her work is prefect. I never feel rushed with her and she’s patient and kind. She also does a great job with my eyebrows.
I have seen the other employees work and from what I have seen they do a good job also. I found the cost they charge you is the same price as other nail places in the Hudson Valley.
I’ve been doing my manicure and pedicure and hair for more than 10 years, The only one I trust and they understand how to do my hair.
