Quick Facts About Bogie's Barber shop
Bogie's Barber Shop, located in Indy, has received a mix of positive and negative comments that give insight into its strengths and weaknesses. In this analysis, we will examine these comments to understand the overall performance of the business.
Starting with the positive comments, one recurring theme is the quality of the haircuts. Multiple customers praised the barbershop for providing fast and high-quality haircuts, with one customer stating that they have never had a negative experience. Additionally, the price of $13 for a haircut was highlighted as a major strength of Bogie's Barber Shop. Customers appreciated the competitive pricing compared to other establishments in the area, some of which charge as much as $30 or more for similar services. Furthermore, the inclusion of a neckline shave with a straight razor was mentioned as an added bonus that sets Bogie's apart from its competitors.
Another strength of Bogie's Barber Shop, as mentioned by a satisfied customer, is the flexibility and willingness of the barber (Larry) to accommodate last-minute appointments. The customer appreciated the effort Larry made to stay late and provide a haircut even after the regular closing time. This dedication to customer service creates a positive impression and fosters customer loyalty.
Moving on to the negative comments, one customer shared their worst haircut experience at Bogie's Barber Shop. They arrived for their appointment on time but had to wait 30 minutes, and when their turn came, the barber did not meet their expectations. The customer specified that they had requested a one-inch cut, but the barber ended up giving them a two-inch straight cut across the bangs, resulting in an undesirable bowl cut. This negative experience not only affected the customer's satisfaction but also impacted their overall appearance and confidence.
Another significant weakness mentioned in a comment was the owner's refusal to provide service to a female customer seeking a men's haircut. The owner reportedly threatened to call the police on this customer and their friend for attempting to persuade him otherwise. This incident not only showcases the owner's unprofessional behavior and rudeness but also raises concerns about discrimination and respecting customers' preferences.
Furthermore, one customer commented on the crowdedness of the barbershop during peak hours. While this can be seen as a sign of popularity and demand for services, it also indicates potential inefficiency in managing customer flow and waiting times.
In terms of the physical environment, one comment referred to the owner's shop as dirty. Although this is just one customer's opinion, it raises concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment. A clean and well-maintained environment is crucial for a barbershop, as it directly affects the customer's perception and overall experience.
In summary, Bogie's Barber Shop has several strengths, including affordable pricing, high-quality haircuts, and a willingness to accommodate last-minute appointments. However, weaknesses that need to be addressed include wait times, inconsistency in meeting customer expectations, refusal of service based on gender, crowdedness during peak hours, and potential cleanliness issues. Addressing these weaknesses could greatly improve the overall customer experience and reputation of Bogie's Barber Shop.

Worst haircut of my life. Called for an appt. and showed up on time but I had to wait 30 min. I told him I wanted an inch but he cut my bangs 2 inch straight across giving me a bowl cut. Been living under a hat since.
Fast, quality haircut every time for $13 and comes with a neckline shave with a straight razor. Every other place within a few blocks wants to charge you $25 to $30. I've been to those too and I don't see anything they do that's worth 5 bucks more much less more than double the price. Never had a negative experience here and I've been going for a couple years now. He's even stayed late past closing time when I've showed up kind of last minute when the shop would have been closing normally.
I made an appointment over the phone with the owner of this shop under my name which is Sam. When I arrived he turned me away due to the fact that I am female. When I tried to explain that the haircut that I have is a men's cut and the haircut that I was wanting is also a men's cut, he threatened to call the police on me and my friend for "harassing" him. This man is extremely rude and unprofessional, his shop is dirty, and he obviously doesn't care about people in general. Even if you are a man getting a men's cut I would highly recommend going somewhere else, as this bigot does not deserve our money. It's 2021 we need to start treating people like people. Unfortunately my only option was to give one star but I really wish there was an option for zero Stars I will never go back to this place again
Not sure what the gentleman’s name is, but he gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever received. Super polite, great cut at a great price. Even used a straight edge on my neck and around my ears which was amazing! Will absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone.
My coworker Alex arrived at work today looking like a big man on campus. Larry worked his scissor magic and constructed a masterpiece of perfection on Alex's noggin. The fade is smooth, crisp, and more fresh than a Georgia peach in mid July. Each individual hair appears to be handled with the ultimate care and measured to the exact millimeter. His confidence level is now at an all time high. He's even considered doing some modeling on the side simply due to his new dew. I high recommend Larry for all of your hair needs and wants. He will exceed your expectations!
Easily the best place to get your haircut in Indy. Larry puts the extra effort into every cut for literally half the price ($13) of most places. Plus he gives out his cell, so you can just text him whenever you need to come in (usually I’m doing it the day before)
Larry does a great job and at the best price in town. Might be a bit crowded at times, but there's a reason for that. Standard cut (only $13!) gets you a haircut, eyebrow trim, warmed shaving cream w/ a straight razor trim around your hairline, and product. Another place 0.5 mile from my home in Fishers offers a comparable service for $35 vs Larry's $13 - that's why I'll gladly keep driving down to BRipple.
Best haircut around and he'll shave your face for no extra charge. Your can't beat Larry's prices anywhere in Indy although you may have to wait a little while at peak hours.
