Quick Facts About Colliers Arms
The Colliers Arms has several strengths that make it a highly recommended place to visit. Firstly, the menu is varied with a specials board, offering a wide range of options to cater to different tastes and preferences. The hot Beef and Onion baguette served with chips and a pot of gravy is particularly delicious and highly recommended by customers. The baguette is warm, filled with plenty of warm lean beef and onion, and the chips are fluffy on the inside with a lovely crunch on the outside.
Another strength of Colliers Arms is the selection of beers behind the bar. While the reviewer was unable to enjoy a beer due to driving, the vast selection of beers suggests that there is something for every beer enthusiast. This adds to the overall experience of visiting the pub.
The ambiance and atmosphere of the pub are also noted as strengths. Customers describe the staff as friendly and helpful, ensuring that everyone feels welcome as soon as they walk in. Despite not being able to reserve a table, customers report that the wait time is reasonable, with most waiting no longer than 15 minutes. The pub also has a bar area for customers to enjoy a drink while waiting, contributing to a pleasant experience overall.
The outdoor beer garden at the rear of the pub is also highlighted as a positive aspect. Customers mention that the canopy looks like a recent addition, providing a comfortable and enjoyable space to sit and dine. This adds to the overall ambiance and atmosphere of the pub, especially during the warmer months.
Customers praise the Colliers Arms for its outstanding food quality. The meats are described as tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked, and the sauces complimentary. This suggests that the pub takes pride in their food and ensures that every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The generous portions at a reasonable price are also mentioned as a positive aspect, making it a good value for money.
The pub is also commended for its exceptional service. One customer mentions that their wife is disabled and the staff went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. This highlights the staff's dedication to providing a welcoming and accommodating experience for all customers.
While the strengths of Colliers Arms are numerous, it is important to acknowledge some potential weaknesses as well. The first potential weakness is the size of the pub. Customers mention that if visiting on a weekend or during late afternoon, it may be necessary to wait for a table as the pub is relatively small. However, this is balanced by the fact that most customers report the wait time to be reasonable.
Another potential weakness could be the large portion sizes. While the food is delicious, some customers mention that the portions are far too big. However, the pub does offer the option to have leftover food boxed to take home, mitigating this potential weakness.
In conclusion, the Colliers Arms has several strengths that make it a highly recommended place to visit. The varied menu, delicious food, wide selection of beers, friendly staff, accommodating service, and enjoyable ambiance contribute to a positive overall experience. While there may be some potential weaknesses, such as wait times for a table and large portion sizes, these are outweighed by the strengths and do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience at Colliers Arms.

Went for lunch with my wife 21st September 22 on the recommendation of our granddaughter.
The menu was varied and there was a specials board too. We chose the hot Beef and Onion baguette served with chips and a pot of gravy, which was delicious. The chips looked pale but they were moresome, fluffy potato on the inside with a lovely crunch on the outside and plenty of them.
The baguette was warm and filled with plenty of warm lean beef and onion, yummy. Even giving a shout out for the gravy, I dipped my chips and the wife her baguette.
There's a vast selection of beers behind the bar but as we were driving I had coffee and wife had water.
Will definitely be going back again, highly recommended.
Delicious foods with quantities. When there many times and never disappointed with foods. You can’t book the table, but never wait more than 15 minutes that’s fine. Enjoyed drinking while waiting.
We had a enjoyable lunch today at The Colliers Arms in Kings Moss following our long walk in the area.
There is a good selection of Cask Ales.
The is also a great menu selection and we each had a very tasty baguette with a different filling. You can choose to have either salad and coleslaw or chips with it.
We sat outside in the beer garden at the rear. The canopy looks like a recent addition.
We have not been for a while but that was our loss...the food was outstanding, meats tender, veg perfectly cooked and sauces complimentary...deserts that show a passion for perfection.
Thanks for everyone's hard work & service ????
This is easily our favourite pub we eat at and are back regularly. Food is always great, staff are friendly and atmosphere is good. If your after an oldie pub with amazing food give this place a try.
Food was delicious but far too big ...Upside you can get it boxed to take home
Excellent food. Reasonable prices. Staff friendly and helpful. My wife is disabled and the staff went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. Will definitely be returning and would seriously recommend.
A proper local pub serving proper tasty pub food, generous portions at a good price.

I cannot fault this place, You feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Staff are friendly and find you a table as soon as one comes available (you cant reserve a table, just turn up). There's a bar area to get a drink if you have to wait.
The menu is varied and caters for everyone (plenty of veggie options, veggie lasagne is ????)
I had the fish and chips which was fantastic (its massive) my mum and wife had steak and tuna baguettes, my daughter kids fish and chips all great.
If your going to visit on a weekend or late afternoon be prepared to wait for a table as its only a small pub, but its well worth it ????????????
