Quick Facts About Concentra Urgent Care
Concentra Urgent Care has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of its strengths is its convenient location. Patients mentioned that the location was easy to access, which is an important factor for people seeking urgent care services. Additionally, the comment about plenty of seating suggests that the facility can accommodate a good number of patients comfortably, reducing wait times and providing a pleasant waiting experience.
Good service is another strength mentioned by commenters. Positive experiences with the receptionist, technician, and doctor indicate that the staff at Concentra Urgent Care are professional, friendly, and attentive to patients' needs. The specific mention of the technician and doctor being excellent suggests that they have a high level of competence and expertise in their respective roles.
Accepting Florida Blue Insurance is another point in Concentra Urgent Care's favor. This indicates that they work with a wide range of insurance providers, making their services accessible to a larger patient population. Affordable healthcare options are highly valued, and accepting insurance helps make care more affordable for many individuals.
However, there are also weaknesses mentioned in the comments that should be addressed. One significant weakness is the long wait times. Several commenters complained about waiting for hours before being attended to, and one even left without being seen. Long wait times can be frustrating and inconvenient, especially for patients seeking urgent care services. Improving efficiency and reducing wait times should be a priority for Concentra Urgent Care.
Another weakness mentioned is poor communication. One commenter mentioned being left alone in an exam room for 90 minutes without any updates or information from the staff. Efficient communication between staff and patients is crucial to managing expectations and providing quality care. Staff members should regularly update patients about wait times and any delays in their treatment.
Pricing structure is also a weakness mentioned in the comments. One commenter expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing for a follow-up DOT exam. It is important for medical facilities to have transparent and fair pricing, ensuring that patients understand the costs associated with their care. Addressing these concerns and providing clearer information on pricing could improve patient satisfaction.
Another weakness mentioned is the unsanitary conditions of the facility. One commenter specifically mentioned the lack of cleanliness, such as not cleaning the eye machine. This is concerning as cleanliness and hygiene are critical components of any healthcare facility. Concentra Urgent Care should prioritize maintaining a clean and safe environment to prevent the spread of infections and diseases.
In summary, Concentra Urgent Care has strengths such as its convenient location, good service, plenty of seating, and acceptance of insurance. However, there are weaknesses that need to be addressed, including long wait times, poor communication, pricing structure concerns, and unsanitary conditions. By addressing these weaknesses, Concentra Urgent Care can improve patient satisfaction and provide better quality care.

Convenient location, good service, plenty of seating. Clean and they accept Florida Blue Insurance.
Update:
Omg they took so ling to attend to me. Waited for hours.
Reception was excellent. Technician was excellent. Doctor was excellent.
I am not totally satisfied with the pricing structure of the DOT exam. It is fair to pay
$130 for it the first time you are checked but it is not fair to pay the same amount for a “follow up” / same test at a 3 months period. I will understand one should pay that after one year but not just 3 months.
90 minutes left alone in an exam room without a word from the staff; all for a 10 minute physical exam for work. Over 4 hours total time in a room full of sick folks and the doctor says masks aren’t required any more…..I’m healthy they aren’t, I’m going to wear mine thank you. They used to provide me with a copy of the exam to send off to who I needed it for but this time one of the staff basically told me I was lying and that they don’t do that there…..um yes you did. Going to ask my medical folks to not send me there again. Need to find somewhere else to get a routine physical done. This is definitely not the place for that.
My experience overall was good, but I am glad that I received this invitation to write a review. I distinctly recall a situation that occurred during my visit that hasn’t left my mind. I had just completed a urine drug screen with a very busy, yet professional and focused gentlemen lab technician. Just as I sat outside his work area waiting for my chest ray, a woman approached him after calling out his name down the hallway. She stood in the doorway 3 feet from me and began asking him why he hasn’t answered his “radio”. He began to explain that it didn’t go off and that he was helping someone (me). She told him a condescending tone that he needs to have his radio on and answer it because someone in the office needed him to translate for them. He glanced at me as he noticed that I was obviously aware of what just happened. He said nothing and went back to his work. I’m really disappointed to see that what appears to a person of leadership at this business not valuing an obviously important, skilled, and talented team member that showed up to work. Businesses are hurting for people that want to work. Respect for clients and team members is a culture that begins at the top.
I am a healthcare professional myself And when I go to an office if the receptionist is not providing providing great customer service that's enough for someone to walk out. I can say the receptionist at concentra did very well. The young lady that was collecting the sample didn't look too happy, but still communicated and provided care as anyone would expect. The doctor/PA/NP, was hilarious.
Overall a 10/10 mainly for customer service and the quality of care.
Be prepared to WAIT FOR HOURS. I went to Urgent Care thinking I had bronchitis. Waited in lobby for at least 2 hours.
I should have been given a Covid test when put into my room, but after more than 2 more hours of coughing in the room, I went in the hall and hollered to a staff member at the other end, asking if I had been forgotten. So a nurse came and finally administered a Covid test. It took only seconds when she finally came to do it. Then she disappeared for at least another hour. I was getting my things together to just leave without being seen when she came in, looked at the test and left again. Very poor communication and totally inefficient.
The staff were very quick to call you back. The lobby and the rooms were clean. Lashawnda was friendly, polite and drew my labs painlessly! I would recommend this location to friends and family.
There’s nothing urgent about this place. I was there for almost 2hrs and the only thing these people were able to complete were my vitals. Pathetic. Waited in a room for over 30min for a doctor that never came. Finally I just left. Also this place is unsanitary. The lady told me to put my face on the eye machine without cleaning it so I politely asked if it could be cleaned first and it took forever for her to find the cleaning stuff. It’s just a mess.
