Quick Facts About Cuttin' Up Barber Shop & Salon

Cuttin' Up Barber Shop & Salon has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Overall, it seems that the shop has a strong customer service aspect and skilled barbers, but there are some issues with timeliness and communication.
One of the strengths of Cuttin' Up Barber Shop & Salon is the great environment and chill barbers. Customers mention that the barbers are cordial, patient, and provide custom service as directed. This creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers to get their hair cut. Additionally, the barbers are said to be skilled and provide excellent cuts, as mentioned by one customer who stated it was the best cut they've had.
Another strength is the ability to schedule appointments. One customer mentioned that they were able to set up an appointment for a specific time slot and that they were taken in right away when they arrived 30 minutes early. This demonstrates the convenience and efficiency of the shop in managing appointments and accommodating customers' needs.
The shop also receives positive feedback for its prices and efficiency. This lack of initial acknowledgement and long wait time can create a negative impression and lead to customer dissatisfaction. This indicates a communication issue and suggests a need for improvement in managing customer expectations.
In conclusion, Cuttin' Up Barber Shop & Salon has strengths in its great environment, skilled barbers, appointment scheduling, and affordable prices. However, there are weaknesses in terms of timeliness, communication, and waiting times. These areas for improvement should be addressed in order to enhance the overall customer experience and satisfaction.

Great environment and chill barbers, customer is service great!!, my personal experience is separated into two days… So, I was thinking about an undercut for a while now. I heard a place through a friend who gets his undercuts here. I knew how much hair I wanted cut but didn’t know how to describe it… I was lucky enough to find a picture on google that was similar enough to the cut I wanted, so, I went up to the shop on Friday to talk to someone about setting up an appointment and walk I wanted. When I walked in and sat down one of the guys cutting almost immediately asked if I had an appointment, I explained to him that I just wanted to talk to someone about a cut whenever they had time and I wasn’t looking looking for a cut today. The guy okay, so I sat down to wait for an openly to talk to someone. He was in the middle of cutting someone so I figured I’d have to wait until he was between cuts, but after about five minutes he turned down the music and asked what it was that I was looking for I briefly mention I wanted an undercut and I showed him the picture. He said to go in the back and show the pic to a guy named flex. After I showed pic and mentioned what I want he was quick to offer up an appointment slot for Saturday @ 12, which is basically what I was looking for. I came in Saturday @ 11:55, sat for a while and then went to the back to get in the chair. I had my hair parted and I said that didn’t know how straight the back was, after I sat down he rechecked the part and re-assured what I wanted. By far the best cut I’ve had and I was happy with how the whole experience was.
I arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment and the owner took me in right away without hesitation. I never have to wait for a chair and that’s how it has been for over 20+ years. The shop provides excellent customer service and professional attitudes resonate from the staff whenever I enter the shop. The barbers are cordial, patient and provide custom service as directed. I recommend Cuttin’ Up with high regard for my family’s personal grooming needs.
Terrible experience . This guy has no idea how to be on time for appointments. I made an appointment with him 3 times . The first 2 times he was Over 30 min late then the 3rd was the icing on the cake for me . I come in and there’s 5 people waiting. I just assumed I was next being that I made an appointment. After the guy in chair is finished she told one of the people waiting to get in chair . So I said I have an appointment and he responds by saying “ all these people were here before you”. I was dumbfounded . I said why do you let people make appointments if you’re not honoring them, isn’t the whole point of making an appointment to reassure that when you arrive he will be in the chair within a few minutes of free appointment time.I was beyond frustrated and just walked out and never went back and will never go back and will strongly recommend to anybody that’s always there to not make an appointment just go and wait I guess. It makes sense nTwo to me now dad he’s the only person that cuts hair there. It would be hard for anyone to work under leader ship with that kind of character and ethics
Great place to get a cut John and his crew have been my barbers since moving to the beach over 8 years ago.
I'm out of state and needed a barber to cut a family members hair. A lady at Ross had recommended this place, but I wish I could say the experience was great. As soon as we came in we weren't even greeted and we waited there for over 30 mins until we started to see people being taken after we came. After noticing this we decided to just go. On my way to the car a guy from the barber shop finally asked us if we were here for a haircut. I told him that we were waiting for some time and people who came after us were being attended to. He then replied that they had appointments. If this is the case it would have been helpful if there was a sign on the door that states "By appointment only" like other barber shops are even communicate that when people come in. I find it quite funny that the only communication that we got was when we decided to leave. I guess I'll be finding another barber shop the next time I come back to Myrtle because this whole experience was a complete waste of my time.
Had my hair shampooed and styled. I forgot to get a phone number and the hours of the stylist so I can book more appointments. He does great short hair.
