Quick Facts About Expo Nails
Expo Nails has received a mix of positive and negative feedback from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will consider the comments made by customers.
Starting with the strengths, several customers mentioned the friendly and welcoming staff. Wayne, in particular, was praised for his skills and professionalism. This indicates that the salon has talented technicians who are able to provide good service to customers. Additionally, Katie was mentioned as being knowledgeable and giving helpful advice. This suggests that the salon has experienced and skilled staff members who can provide guidance to customers.
The affordability of Expo Nails was another strength mentioned by a customer. They described the salon as "very very good & CHEAP!" This indicates that the salon provides good value for money, which can attract customers who are looking for affordable nail services.
The cleanliness of the salon was also mentioned as a positive aspect. Several customers commented on the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of the salon. This suggests that Expo Nails maintains high hygiene standards and provides a relaxing environment for its customers. The cleanliness of the salon is important as it contributes to the overall customer experience.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that were highlighted by customers. One recurring issue was the lack of attention to cuticle care. One customer mentioned that their cuticles were not properly treated before the polish was applied, which resulted in the need for a fill just one week later. Another customer mentioned that their nails were not shaped properly and appeared pointy instead of the desired almond shape. These comments suggest that the salon may not consistently provide proper cuticle care and nail shaping, which can impact the longevity and overall appearance of the manicure.
Another weakness mentioned was the lack of selection when it comes to regular polish. One customer mentioned that there was not a large variety of regular polish options available at the salon. This suggests that Expo Nails may have a limited selection, which can impact customer satisfaction, especially for those who prefer regular polish over gel.
Another weakness that was highlighted by a customer was regarding the appointment system. The customer mentioned that appointments are needed, but not for Saturdays. This suggests that the salon may have limited availability for appointments, particularly on busy days like Saturdays. This can be inconvenient for customers who prefer to have a scheduled appointment rather than waiting for their turn.
One customer also had a negative experience regarding the lack of attention and professionalism from a technician who was more interested in her phone than providing good service. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in the level of service provided by the technicians, and not all of them may be equally attentive and focused on their work.
Lastly, there was a complaint from a customer who experienced a long wait time and poor communication regarding their turn to get their nails done. This indicates that the salon may have issues with their appointment management and customer communication, leading to frustrations and dissatisfaction among customers.
In conclusion, Expo Nails has several strengths such as friendly staff, affordability, and a clean environment. However, there are also weaknesses such as inconsistent cuticle care and nail shaping, limited regular polish selection, issues with the appointment system, inconsistent service quality, and poor communication. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to provide a better overall customer experience.

Wayne is the best! They bounced me between a few techs but my final polish artist was Wayne. Everyone was easy to talk to and welcoming. I enjoyed the experience, but I wish they worked on my cuticles a bit before starting. They didn't even push them back, so a week in I already need a fill. Pictures are from directly after leaving the salon.
Update: did my own cuticles before my fill and Katie did a wonderful job on my ice cream nails. The staff are super sweet and even the members who aren't related act like family ????
did the design pretty well however i was getting a fill and you can see through my nails where the gap was. also, when she, i think her name is becca, was shaping my nails, instead of being almond, they were very pointy. I think she was just trying to be fast. here’s a picture of right after they were done. you can see through my nails and can see the shape here.
Katie did a nice job. She gave good advice too.
very very good & CHEAP! highly recommend them, but you need appointments, not for saturdays though!
Love this place n everyone in there is so friendly...i just tryd the SNS dip n i love it , its so much healthier for your nails and the nail bed .. Very clean and quiet place , great place for lil me time n relax
I moved to Sidney from another city and found this salon through Google. The place is nice and clean. Not a large selection of regular polish. Looked like they had a nice variety of gel but I was getting regular. I got a pedicure.. The tech doing my nails was more interested in her phone and what appeared to be stocks on there. She cut my nails uneven, really didn't shape them. If I return, I would be sure to not have her again.
I've been patronizing Expo Nails for upwards of seven years, and shame on me, what's prompted the very late review is the contrasting quality of recent manicures while traveling. Guess we don't appreciate something until it's gone (ish)...
My most recent gel manicure (on my natural nails) via EN/Jenny was completed two weeks ago today. With the exception of visually apparent new growth, the manicure looks as fresh today as when I left the salon. No chips, no peeling... (And, if they didn't look SUPER cute, I would share pics. Wait. What? - I often get really unique designs that I prefer staying that way - unique to me. :) Again with the contrasting recent experiences, I am now even more impressed both with Jenny's knowledge of how to best care for nails (mine easily split, chip, crack and break), her level of attention to detail while applying color and design, and her overall attitude towards her work. Impressive.
Also necessary is to acknowledge and compliment the other nail techs who also do really nice work: Tony, Wayne, Han, Rachelle, Katie, Ashlynn... in addition to all being conscientious about their work, they do a nice job keeping the salon clean and running (mostly) smooth. There have been mix-ups; it happens. In the end, I'd much prefer dealing with any mix-up (and any accompanying frustration that may exist) as to ending up with the more expensive manicures that (both) chipped on multiple nails inside each of the weeks they were received when traveling.
I went there with my sister so we could have nice nails for vacation. We waited FOUR hours just so I couldn't get my nails done. They said multiple times that I was next. Then my sister and I confronted the lady at the desk and she said, "Yeah. She's next... after 3 more people." Those people and all the people before me were there AFTER I was.
