Quick Facts About Focus Nails
Focus Nails is a nail salon that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some praise the salon for its talented technicians and high-quality designs, others have expressed dissatisfaction with their experiences. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of Focus Nails, we will analyze the comments left by customers.
One of the main strengths of Focus Nails is the talent of the technicians, specifically Nicky and Peter. Many customers, including several who have been going to the salon for multiple years, express their satisfaction with their work. They praise Nicky for her creative designs and the compliments they receive on their nails. Peter is also commended for his professionalism and skill.
Customer service is another area where Focus Nails receives positive feedback. Several customers note that the staff is friendly and professional, and they have had positive interactions with the technicians. This contributes to a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for customers.
The cleanliness of the salon is mentioned positively in some comments. Customers appreciate the efforts made by the staff to keep the salon clean, which adds to the overall experience.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One recurring issue is inconsistency in pricing. One customer mentions being quoted a price over the phone, only to be charged more at the salon. This lack of transparency in pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and loss of trust.
There are also complaints regarding the quality of the services provided. Some customers mention that their nails chipped only a few days after getting them done, or that the lines of the designs were uneven or not straight. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and consistency in the work of the technicians, which can be a major drawback for a nail salon.
The comment about a customer experiencing discomfort and bleeding during a service highlights a major weakness in the salon's quality control and protocols. Technicians should prioritize the safety and well-being of their customers, and any instances of injury or pain during a service can have a negative impact on the salon's reputation.
Communication and listening skills appear to be an area where Focus Nails can improve. Several customers mention that their requests or concerns were not listened to or understood by the technicians. This can lead to misunderstandings, dissatisfaction, and overall poor customer experience.
Another critical weakness mentioned in one comment is the unprofessional behavior of one of the technicians. The customer reported that the technician was aggressive and acted irritated when asked about being charged correctly. This type of behavior is unacceptable and can severely impact the salon's reputation and customer loyalty.
In summary, Focus Nails has a few strengths, such as talented technicians, positive customer service, and a clean environment. However, it also has several weaknesses, including inconsistency in pricing, issues with the quality of services provided, lack of attention to detail, poor communication and listening skills, and unprofessional behavior. Addressing these weaknesses and improving on them will be crucial for the salon to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I LOVE my glitter glow-in-the-dark dip!! Nicky did an amazing job & made great suggestions. I didn’t know at all what I wanted & I’m so happy I went here! Highly recommend! ????
I called and asked Peter prices for acrylic nails. He gave me a price. When I went to check out it was $25 more then he told me it would be. I asked why so much more and the lady's response was because mylar was used? Like what? So deceiving and ridiculous.
In addition one of the acrylic nails popped off less than a week after getting them done. The nail beds were not even, they were bumpy. Diane did not do a good job. She was not friendly. I was cut by the drill on at least 4 cuticles.
I read all of the hype about Nicky and her designs. The design done on my nails was very simple and the lines were not even nor straight. Terrible job.
Pedicure was fine, polish holding up.
Not impressed with this place at all.
Peter was my nail tech & he did a great job. I made an appointment & had no wait time. Staff was professional & friendly. I will definately be back.
The tech dremeled my cuticles and I got an infection from it. She went down deep near the cuticle and went deep in my nailbed too. Before she did that I had told her Focus was recommended by a friend and the nail tech replied "Our salon is so much better than the Asian owned salons". All in all, she did a horrible job and talked to her colleague about her ongoing divorce. She was in such a hurry to get my gel Mani done, she was done in less than 30 minutes. She could not wait to go behind the building and smoke her cancer sticks. I didn't even receive a thank you or asked if I liked my mani.
Went there on a Thursday was getting many pedi done the lady Nicky suggested dip nails last longer I end up doing it .
2 days later my nails are chipped went back it was Saturday I understand was busy come back Monday I agree to it horrible nail for weekend Monday finally got in the guy took me he didn't say a word he kept taking to Nicky in their language he looked so mad the only word he said to me its wash when he was done the result i look like i have bubble nail so ugly thick Nicky did a very good job but they chipped in 2 days he should of handle the situation way better I had to go back not only once but twice and then get treated like sh^%$ l wasn't asking for anything else I was asking to fix the 35 dollar polish they offered. To make it even worse a week later two nails came off .
NEVER GOING BACK THERE.
I have been going to Focus Nails for the past two years. Peter does my fill and Nicky does my designs. They are both very professional and treat me like family. I love her designs. I get compliments all the time. The place is very clean and they work very hard to make their customers happy. I highly recommend Focus Nails. Based on my nails, 4 of my good friends now go to Nicky and Peter to get their nails done.
Let me start by saying that I’ve been going to focus for a long time. Nicky and Peter always do nice work. A problem i had was with one of the technicians, who was so aggressive filing my nails she made me bleed. Not once, but on three separate fingers. One of my biggest pet peeves about nail salons is they make you feel bad when you speak up. For instance, if the shape of one of my nails was crooked, I was told it’s just the shape of my hand. This is unprofessional to say the least. I had booked a pedicure the same day but asked to for a polish change instead when I saw I was running out of time. She didn’t listen to me and instead still gave me a “pedicure” that lasted for 10-15 minutes tops and rushed the entire process but still expected me to pay full price. She became irritated with me when I asked to be charged correctly. It was 97$ without tip and the experience was not worth it. Long story short, don't get service from anyone other than the owners, unless you wanna be in pain the next two days
