I went to this barbershop today and had a terrible experience. The barber in the first chair Clarence. Shaved all of the hair off on my taper and gave me little to know line up and still expected pay. I can’t speak for the rest, but please avoid Clarence if you go.
Great place- always clean and neat. Fresh has been my barber for years. Best spot in Birmingham hands down.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but my old barber moved out of town permanently so i was forced to try and find a new place and barber. I came across this place with good reviews. initially when i walked in, it seemed nice, atmosphere was chill. when i sat down to get my hair cut he asked what i wanted and i told him i wanted a fade and leave all the length on top (keep in mind i buzzed my head by myself about a month prior to this moment so my hair was short) and On he went. The lighting is bad in the shop and when he said he was done i looked and it look fine in the shop, so i payed and gave a tip. When i got out to my car i double checked and my hair was horribly faded and left patches of long hair everywhere on my head. i immediately went to another barbershop in hopes they could fix me( which they did). but i just want to leave this review as a possible caution. and i won’t mention the barbers name out of courtesy.
From 10 years of personally growing my dreds to a brand-new faded cut, Shannon is the man and my new barber. Great recommendation to visit this shop in the heart of UAB and the Southside. Feels so good to be home. He did such an amazing job clipping each dredloc that I am able to donate my hair and that makes this haircut even more meaningful. Thank you #FreshAvenueSouthside
I came here for a head shave while my wife and I are at the NICU at UAB with our newborn twins from out of town. Snuk was the first barber I found in reasonable distance on The Cut App that did head shaves. The shop was clean, the barbers were all very professional, and the value was great. If we are still here this time next week, I will definitely be back!
Can't say they're just the best in Birmingham.....Fresh Avenue is one of the best barbers I've found anywhere. We moved to the area this year and I am very happy to have found this barber. You will get the haircut you want from these guys. Highly recommended.
