Quick Facts About G & G Nail
G&G Nail Place is a nail salon that has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, it is important to analyze these comments and identify recurring themes.
Starting with the strengths, one comment highlights the positive experiences a customer has had at G&G Nail Place for the past four years. This indicates that the salon has a loyal customer base, which can be seen as a strength. The customer also mentions that they have had great experiences with different technicians, highlighting the talent and consistency of the staff. Furthermore, the customer mentions that the salon is able to fix any problems or broken nails promptly and efficiently, highlighting their commitment to customer satisfaction. Another comment mentions that the staff went above and beyond to fulfill the customer's specific requests for their nails, showcasing their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate individual preferences. Additionally, one customer appreciates the ability of the salon to provide nail art services, which they found impressive. These strengths indicate that G&G Nail Place has skilled technicians who strive to meet customer expectations, leading to satisfied and loyal customers.
However, the salon also has weaknesses that need to be addressed. One customer expresses disappointment after realizing that their nails did not look as good up close as they did from a distance. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of the salon's work, as well as attention to detail. Another negative comment mentions bleeding nails during the acrylic application process, indicating that the salon may not prioritize the comfort and well-being of their clients. The same customer also mentions rude behavior from the technician, which is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the salon. Furthermore, the customer expresses frustration over the lack of transparency regarding additional costs for specific nail shapes and designs, which indicates poor communication and a potential lack of professionalism. Another customer mentions that their nail art was attempted by three different people before being successfully completed by Jessica. This suggests a lack of consistency among the staff and may raise concerns about the quality of the final result. Additionally, a customer mentions a negative experience with a particular nail technician and recommends specific technicians for better results, implying that the skills and expertise of the technicians at G&G Nail Place may not be uniform. Finally, a customer expresses dissatisfaction with their overall experience at the salon, including nails breaking within a short period, long wait times, and unsatisfactory results. This comment indicates a lack of quality control and a failure to address customer complaints effectively.
In conclusion, G&G Nail Place has certain strengths, such as a loyal customer base, talented technicians, and a commitment to fixing any issues promptly. However, there are also clear weaknesses, including inconsistencies in quality and attention to detail, rude behavior from staff members, lack of transparency regarding additional costs, and problems with client satisfaction and service. To improve, G&G Nail Place should focus on better quality control, consistent training for their staff, improved communication and transparency with their customers, and more effective customer complaint management. By addressing these weaknesses, G&G Nail Place has the potential to create a stronger and more positive reputation in the nail salon industry.

I’ve been coming here for roughly 4 years and would never go anywhere else. I’ve gotten my nails done from almost every technician and every experience has been great. I am a bartender so I am super rough on my hands, and any time I have a problem or break a nail they fix it with no problem. Jessica is incredibly talented and can do any design I show her. Any time someone asks about my nails, I always make sure to let them know how great G&G Nail is <3
I had a great experience at G&G! They were very careful and thorough for both my pedicure and manicure. They went above and beyond to do my nails exactly as I wanted them, I couldn’t be happier!
People were very nice and did exactly what I asked for my graduation nails. Disappointed because my nails look good from far away but up close not so much. Did not notice until I left the store.
The acrylic nails they did were good, but 4/10 of my nails were visibly bleeding by the time she was done. Not to mention, she snapped at me multiple times and was just kind of rude. Also, I didn’t know it would cost extra to do a ballerina/coffin shape. It ended up being around $70 dollars, which is the most I’ve paid for an acrylic set. I also wouldn’t have gotten ombré between two colors if I knew it would be $15 extra; I wish that would’ve been disclosed prior since it didn’t matter that much to me between that and a solid color. My friend said she had the same nail tech last time and had the same experience, so maybe I just need a different experience with a new nail tech.
Someone recommended them so I decided to try them out. Befuddled place. I haven't found any place around Iowa city and surrounding areas that do nail art. But they do. I am impressed by their work, not impressed that it took 3 people to attempt it. A women named Jessica came and got the job done. She's amazing!
I’m not one to leave a bad review usually, but I was in here the other day and I asked for funny bunny on my nails which I had previously had before and the girl doing my nails used a clear sparkly color. I didn’t notice it until she went to put on a second coat because I thought it was just a clear coat at first. I then went over to pick out another color and said 2 different colors and she said they didn’t have them. She was very upset the rest of the time so I assume she was mad I didn't like the first color.
I usually really love this place and have been going there for a couple months, but my last few visits i’v been completely, terribly unsatisfied with my nail results. The last few times I have had Arealy specifically doing my nails, and every-time i’m leaving with way over priced nails for how the art looks, a few nails bleeding, and not the design I asked for in the slightest. If you go to this nail salon and want good and clean designs, I suggest asking specifically for Jessica or Lynn. My friends and family will not be returning to G&G nail salon.
This place is horrible. I have gone here 3 times and the first time I got gel acrylic and I had 3 nails break within 5 days because they did them super thin. The second time, I was going to get my nails removed and get another full set and I sat there with the tin foil on my hand for 45 minutes waiting for someone to help me (even though i had an appointment). The third time, I got dip and it’s been 2 days and my nails are alresdy starting to peel off. I called and asked for a refund and they wouldn’t give me one. Horrible.
