WARNING COMING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. This establishment and its management is an absolute scam. I was told by the employee to apply a product that required developer (hi color L’Oréal) by itself and of course it ended with me getting chemical burns to my scalp. That is why I made it very clear to the girl that sold it to me, I made sure to inform her that I was clueless regarding hair dye and needed help with my purchase. She told me all I needed to do was apply the product alone. I made it clear that I didn’t want to end up coming back for other products & she said no that’s all you need. When I called, she refused to acknowledge where she went wrong & didn’t try to help me at all. I Went to urgent care & of course my scalp was chemical burned. I have been calling since Thursday, Supervisor Rosie refuses to call me back. I have spoke with several managers that keep telling me there’s nothing they can do and only Rosie can. I spent about $50 for chemical burns at this location and they’re all owned by the same person and nobody can help me. I’m absolutely mortified that this business functions this way even with camera footage that proves that the employee steered me the wrong direction. I have called well over 30-50 times to all locations and Rosie still does not call me. This is a disgusting way for business to be conducted and unsafe for consumers. They hire people that don’t know what they’re selling & then treat you badly.
Rosie I hope you see this, you are disgusting & lack a moral compass.
Received a call today (2/7/23) to come get my refund. Thanks to the power of Social media, I’m assuming she saw my review. I would’ve loved to tell Rosie about how she is—to her face but I couldn’t make it so I sent my husband. Rosie proceeded to make it worse by lying to his face. She claimed that SHE WASNT AWARE that she was supposed to call me AT ALL. Even with me speaking with 3 of her store managers, and three different employees that all took my number and relayed to her. Sonia, the lancaster manager was the only one that tried to help the situation & was nice, and respectful. Rosie didn’t hesitate when she threw her own team under the bus. She denied offering me 10% off, which is what she would tell her staff to tell me as a quick fix. She simply acted as if she was clueless, and blamed her staff for failure to inform her. Disgusting behavior seeing how Sonia actually tried to help. I highly advise people not to shop here. Just glad I FINALLY got my money back it’s only right. Sonia should have her position, customers would be much happier to spend here.
I like this beauty supply store. They damn near have everything you need for your hair. The employees that work there all the time have excellent customer service and is very polite. You can just be looking around, and I love the fact that the employees come and ask you if you need assistance on anyting. I will continue to go there to get my hair supplies and definitely recommended for anyone else.
Employees are not knowledgeable about products. I sent my son to get a deep conditioner. He asked the lady there 3 times to make sure it was a deep conditioner. The lady told him it was a deep conditioner. He came home in with a leave in conditioner . It said Leave in conditioner on the bottle. The lady told him it was the same thing. Are you dumb??? It isn't the same thing a Leave in you ..leave in...duh!!! A deep conditioner is a treatment that is rinsed out. I sent him back to get a refund and he was told by another employee that they only do exchanges and the deep conditioner that they have just don't say deep conditioner on it but it's it's deep conditioner. The most stupidest thing I've ever heard If you want a quality place to shop for hair care go to V.I.P. The employees are knowledgeable and aren't scammers like Genesis Beauty
I've only been to this place twice since they opened. The staff was ok, they knew a little about hair products but not a whole lot. I bought a hair cap and they didn't have what I wanted, so I purchased another brand for hair moisturizer. I eventually found it at another store and tried to return it. They don't accept any returns, unless it a specific kind of hair. They need to put a clear sign that says no returns.
I purchased my first wig so I had no clue. The gal was very helpful letting me know everything I needed also she was so patient, considerate and helpful as I went through so many choices and for that I am extremely grateful and came home feeling grateful and beautiful with what I came home with. A big plus is that the prices and quality of the wigs are so amazing and affordable. So much so that I’m going back for more more & more. Thank you Genesis
Employees are nice not very experienced in the wig department. I bought a full lace wig cost $600 plus tax I thought it was good hair but looks can be deceiving so I asked the lady if it sheds a lot or is there any problems with the wig she said no and normal wig shedding. I asked her if it was 100% Brazilian hair she said yes so I was kind of sold and bought it I went home and opened up the package the front label said Bobbi boss 100% remy human hair tht hair is only $20 to $50 a bundle I got played and there is no refund my wig is so dry, it sheds ALOT, the lady said it was all 30 inch only the back was 30 inch the other hair in the front was way shorter, etc I find new things everyday. Also while brushing it after washing it gets very tangled , the wig cap ripped in half while I was brushing it it’s only been about 5 months I keep trying to tweek it . I’m very disappointed ! Ladies but a cheap wig I swear they are the same quality or just dnt buy expensive wigs from here total rip off. I should’ve left when the lady told me they make the wigs themselves... it shows .
very disappointed today I went into the store on the first of September one on the employees told me that the blow dryer Combs are one size fit all so I trusted that. then when I tried it on my blow dryer while in the process of blow drying my hair it kept coming off my blow dryer and would not stay on. so I went in to see if I can exchange it the employee asked the supervisor an she said yes you can exchange it so my intent was to buy an electric hot comb when I went to pay the difference I was a dollar short so my friend went to the car too get more money the employee told me oh hold on she went back to the supervisor an said u sure we can return this she used it. then the supervisor came an told me oh no we can't exchange your item after she said yes in the beginning when I told her when trying to blow dry my hair in the process it would not fit so I had to use it to see that it was too big. she still refused to do my exchange after she said yes the first time. I will definitely not support this business anymore an forsure you have lost a customer thanks for the poor customer service after trusting an employee telling me the hair blow dryer comb is one size fit all and she did not even recommended I bring my blow dryer in to check
My daughter’s debit card was stolen and used here. It was a $100 charge. Clearly an ID was not checked for use of this card. Hopefully this doesn’t happen often. This has been reported to the police.
