Quick Facts About Goldenrod Park
Goldenrod Park Place has a number of strengths and weaknesses, as mentioned in the comments above.
One of the strengths of Goldenrod Park Place is the presence of a nice little grill in the back. This allows visitors to make food and enjoy a meal while spending time at the park. The availability of outlets to charge your phone and wifi, if you're close enough to the rec, is also a positive aspect for those who need to stay connected or charge their devices. Additionally, the park is described as cute, clean, and well-shaded, creating a pleasant and comfortable environment for visitors.
Another strength is the presence of shelters with a grill, as mentioned by one of the commenters. This provides a space where visitors can gather and have a barbecue. The playground is also mentioned as being clean and suitable for little kids, which is an important quality for families with young children. The presence of a tennis court is another advantage, as it offers an additional recreational activity for park visitors.
One commenter mentions that the park is conveniently located next to the Cross Seminole Trail/Cady Way trail, allowing cyclists and hikers to easily access the restrooms and get back on the trail quickly. This accessibility can be beneficial for those using the trail and in need of restroom facilities.
However, there are also some weaknesses of Goldenrod Park Place that are mentioned in the comments. One weakness highlighted is that the bathrooms are usually out of stock on everything. This can be inconvenient for visitors who need to use the restroom and find that necessary supplies are not available. Another commenter mentions that the park is not dog-friendly, which may be a drawback for dog owners who would like to bring their pets along to the park. One commenter also mentions the lack of water fountain, which can be a disadvantage for those who would like to stay hydrated while at the park. It is also worth noting that there are only outside set of restrooms available, which may not be ideal for some visitors who prefer indoor facilities.
Another weakness mentioned is the size of the park. One commenter describes it as very small, with limited activities for children to engage in. This can lead to boredom among young visitors, as mentioned by another commenter who noted that their 2 and 3-year-old children were bored after only 15 minutes at the park. This limited size may not accommodate older children who are seeking more challenging and varied recreational opportunities.
In addition to the small size, another weakness mentioned is the presence of wasps in the park. One commenter observed that there were about four wasps flying around in a short amount of time, indicating the possibility of a nearby nest. This can be a safety concern for visitors, particularly those who are allergic to wasp stings.
In conclusion, Goldenrod Park Place has several strengths and weaknesses. Its strengths include the presence of a grill, availability of outlets and wifi, cleanliness, shade, shelters with a grill, a tennis court, and proximity to a trail. However, weaknesses include bathrooms usually being out of stock, lack of dog-friendliness, small size, limited activities for children, lack of water fountain, and the presence of wasps.

There is a nice little grill in the back we often use to make food, bathrooms are usually out of stock on everything, they tolerate people hanging out over there, outlets to charge your phone as well as wifi if you're close enough to the rec.
This is a small playground. Nothing more. Not dog friendly. No bathrooms
Nice park! Nice shelters with a grill. Playground kept clean. Has a tennis court and an outside set of restrooms.
Cute and safe, small public playground suitable for little kids
It's a cute, clean park & well shaded, so I have to give 3 stars for that @ least; However, it's also VERY small, & after about 15 minutes, my 2 & 3 yr olds had done everything there was to do & were unfortunately bored. The 3 yr old asked if we could leave & go to a "good" park! ???? Normally, I'd have had a short talk with her about being thankful for what she has, but seriously, it IS pretty small! There were also about 4 wasps that I saw flying around in that short time, so there must be a nest somewhere nearby! ????
Love this park. Great size, and clean. Nice shade and sitting area right by the equipment to view the kids play, they also have sitting picnic benches farther out. Just no water fountain, I like to use to rise hands. But theres a recreation center which I'm not sure if you can use since its for members.
Stopped here while riding the Cross Seminole Trail/Cady Way trail. The restrooms are conveniently located next to the trail so you can get back to riding quickly.
Great covered, outdoor park. The only part uncovered are the swings, so during our hot summer days, either go early or have the kiddies wear pants! (TIP: Bring a spray bottle with cold water and a towel. Spay and wipe to cool off the seat). There are seats for the parents that don't want to run around. Gated and entirely covered with rubber "padding", so no dirt!! Picnic tables available (covered as well). Plenty of parking. Best for ages 6 and under
