Quick Facts About Gonyea's Barber Shop
Gonyea's Barber Shop has received both positive and negative comments from customers. In order to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment, it is necessary to analyze the comments and identify recurring themes.
Starting with the positive comments, one recurring theme is the excellent service provided by Mrs. Rhonda. Multiple customers appreciate her ability to work with individuals on the autism spectrum, demonstrating patience and understanding. She is also commended for her efficiency, allowing customers to be in and out of the shop quickly. Moreover, Mrs. Rhonda's skills are highly praised, with customers expressing their satisfaction with her haircuts. This indicates that she is a skilled and experienced barber.
In addition to Mrs. Rhonda, Mr. Glen is also mentioned as a phenomenal barber. Customers appreciate his expertise and the fact that he has been in the business for over thirty years. This longevity indicates a level of experience and knowledge that can inspire confidence in customers. Furthermore, a customer mentions a straight razor finish, which suggests attention to detail and a commitment to providing a quality haircut.
Another strength of Gonyea's Barber Shop, as mentioned by a customer, is the affordable price. A $15 haircut is seen as a good value for the quality of the haircut received. Furthermore, another customer mentions a $13 haircut, indicating that the prices at Gonyea's Barber Shop are competitive.
On the other hand, negative comments highlight some weaknesses of the establishment. One recurring complaint is the poor quality of haircuts received. Customers express disappointment with their haircuts, calling them the worst they have ever received. There are complaints about uneven cuts, excessive trimming, and even hair being completely shaved off without consent. These comments suggest a lack of attention to detail and inconsistency in the quality of haircuts provided.
Multiple customers mention that the male barber, Mr. Glen, left their hair uneven or did not meet their expectations. They express their dissatisfaction with his cutting skills and caution against going to him if one has long hair or specific requests. This indicates that there may be a lack of consistency in the skills of the barbers at Gonyea's Barber Shop.
Furthermore, there is a comment from a customer who served in the Air Force and had military haircuts consistently. They express disappointment with the military haircut received at Gonyea's Barber Shop, stating that it does not meet the expected standards. This suggests a lack of precision and familiarity with specific haircut styles.
In conclusion, Gonyea's Barber Shop has strengths such as a skilled and efficient barber, affordable prices, and positive customer experiences. However, weaknesses include inconsistent quality of haircuts, a lack of attention to detail, and a barber who may not meet the expectations of certain customers. It is important for the establishment to address these weaknesses in order to improve customer satisfaction and obtain consistent positive feedback.

Absolute worst haircut I’ve ever received! Asked for a trim on the top about 3-4 inches. I can’t even begin to describe how poor this haircut looks! Would not recommend!
Mrs. Rhonda cuts my son's hair. He is on the autism spectrum but she is so good with him and he loves going to her. It is easy to text for appointments and she has us in and out every single time. My boyfriend has started going to her husband to get his hair cut and absolutely loves it here also! Thank you Gonyea's for your service! I highly recommend them! I will definitely not go anywhere else!
Mr. Glen and Mrs. Rhonda are absolutely phenomenal. They’ve been in the business over thirty years and it shows! I have the upmost confidence in them thanks to their patience and expertise in cutting my toddler’s hair.
Best haircut I’ve had in 20 plus years. Straight razor to finish up. Couldn’t be happier and only $15.
I walked in last week with hair down to my shoulders. I play music and was just looking for a trim. In the middle of the trim he just chopped off all of my bangs, so I stopped the haircut and told him to just shave it all off. He will absolutely ruin a full head of hair, so don't go to him if you have any length whatsoever.
After he ruined my hair I just asked him for a basic military haircut. A standard fade on the side and to clean up the top. This picture is of the work he did, exactly seven days after the fact. I don't know how this shop is in business, maybe he had a really bad day, but it seems like he doesn't know how to cut hair in general. I would just look elsewhere if you want a decent haircut.
I was in the Air Force for ten years and got a haircut every two weeks. That's 260 of these military haircuts. I know how to ask for them and I know how they're supposed to look. This isn't it.
$13 hair cut is hard to beat anywhere. Great cut and little waiting around, just the way I like it....
Its a husband and wife business. The Mrs' is the better barber. Very quick at her work so if there's 2 or 3 in front of you the wait is not long. And unlike the Mr she never leaves your hair unequal lengths on opposite sides.
Was very pleased with my haircut , and Mr Glen was very pleasant to talk to. Reminded me of a old school barber shop . This was my first cut with them , but certainly not my last.
