Quick Facts About Hector Nails
Hector Nails Place has a mixed reputation based on the comments provided. There are both strengths and weaknesses that can be observed.
One strength of Hector Nails Place is the speed and efficiency of their service. Multiple comments note that they do good work quickly and their prices are fair. This is appealing to many customers who appreciate a fast and efficient nail salon experience. Additionally, the commenter had enjoyed their experience with square nails and mentioned that the staff was friendly. The affordable price is also seen as a strength and is an attractive factor for potential customers.
However, there are several comments that highlight weaknesses in various aspects of the salon. One common complaint is the quality of the work done by the employees. For instance, several commenters mentioned that their nails started coming off shortly after getting them done. This indicates a lack of durability and professional application. Another customer complained about the shape and attachment of their nails, suggesting that the staff may not have paid attention to detail or properly adhered the nails. In addition, a commenter stated that they had a negative experience with the removal process, which seemed unorthodox and potentially painful. These issues with the quality of work done by the employees are significant weaknesses for the salon.
Another weakness mentioned by customers is poor customer service. One commenter mentioned that the employees were rude and horrible at performing pedicures and nail sets. This can create a negative atmosphere for customers and deter them from returning to the salon. Additionally, a customer complained that their technician rolled their eyes when asked to fix a crooked nail and touch up a design. This lack of professionalism and disrespectful behavior reflects poorly on the salon.
Communication and clarity of the payment process is another weakness identified in the comments. One customer mentioned confusion with the final price and an additional $10 service charge. Clarity and transparency in regards to pricing and services are important factors for customer satisfaction, and the confusion experienced by this customer suggests a weakness in this area.
Furthermore, there are concerns related to nail health and safety. One customer had their natural nail damaged during the removal process and experienced pain throughout the procedure. This shows a lack of attention and knowledge regarding proper nail care and safety measures. Another customer mentioned that their nail beds were horribly damaged after their nails were soaked off, resulting in the customer ripping off almost half of their nails. This kind of damage is unacceptable and highlights a weakness in the salon's technique and care for the customers' nail health.
In summary, Hector Nails Place has strengths in terms of efficiency, speed, and affordability. However, there are several weaknesses that significantly impact the customer experience. These include poor quality work, lack of attention to detail, rude behavior, confusion in the payment process, and potential damage to nail health. These weaknesses should be addressed and improved upon for the salon to maintain a positive reputation and retain customers.

My mom went to get her nails filled and they did a very poor job. First they didn’t take the color off she had on before and painted over it with regular nail polish and told her it was shellac. She told the man she didn’t like them and he proceeded to tell her he will add glitter and nail art to make it look better. As you can see they are very bulky looking and look very much rushed. She was very unsatisfied with the results and they should do BETTER!
I came in around at 12 am today (a Sunday), I was greeted, signed in , waited for 15-20 minutes. I knew exactly what I wanted and that’s what I got. I was helped by ms.ivy . She did an amazing job on my square nails. Reasonable price was $80 and everyone was friendly.
It was nice. I don't really do my nails ever, so I don't know if I'm the most qualified to say how excellent a job they did, however it was pretty painless, they did cut my cuticle, but it's ok it happens. They didn't really try to talk to me, which I appreciated my nails turned out ok I think, and my girlfriends nails turned out pretty nice she got a dip power and I got a manicure. I was a bit confused when it came to paying, but since I'm not sure how it works I was fine with it, they had a 10 dollar service charge on top the final price. Pictures attached (btw spring rolls from shifu noodles ten minutes away)
they do very good work very quickly! their prices are very fair as well. I would recommend going on a weekday as they are very busy on weekends, and soaking your nails off before coming for a new set. To save time they remove nails in an unorthodox manner that may be painful to some people, just something to note. I would highly recommend, they’ve never disappointed me.
I heard lot of good things about this salon I used to love it here!…but lately the few times I been here the employees their just really RUDE! And horrible at pedis and nails sets. Worst place to go, I do not recommend!!!!
I have came to Hectors many times and they have always done a good job but I promise after today I will never step foot in this salon again. I went in today with old acrylic nails on that needed to be removed. When removing my nail my nail tech went under my real nail instead of between the acrylic and my nail. She went about half way through before she realized what happened. She apologized profusely and put nail glue on it. The bleeding stopped, the pain went down, and I felt okay to continue, I understand mistakes happen. While she was shaping I notified her one of the nails looked crooked I also asked she redo a small design because it did not look right. She rolled her eyes both times but fixed it. The nails came out very cute but I am still in pain, the only thing holding my nail together is nail glue and acrylic. I did not receive a discount for the mishap and when it was time to pay the tech stood by the counter waiting for a tip. I paid my dues, gave a tip since I did still get my nails done but I will not return. I did not get my techs name unfortunately but either way this is not okay I understand mistakes happen but to almost take my nail off is not okay and then to expect a tip and not receive some kind of discount even $10 off $5, I’ve had a tech at a different salon cut my finger with a file and took $5 off even though I wasn’t upset. Beautiful nails but everything else taints the experience.
i usually get my nails done here but i recently got them done and they are bad. They looked good at first, but not even a week later they are starting to come off, they were also basically attached to my cuticles and aren’t shaped good on the bottom. They charged a lot and it took a while so i expected better quality.
I have been going to Hectors nails for almost a year, would get short solid white nails.. the one time I decided to change up the style asking to get medium coffin French tip I was very very disappointed. I didn’t want to be a Karen and complained so I sat in my car in the parking lot for 20 minutes crying to convince myself they were ok.. after 2 weeks they started lifting, after trying to soak them off my nail beds are horribly damaged, I’ve ripped almost half of my nails. I’m in complete disbelief Ivy did this to my nails.
I won’t ever be returning.
