Quick Facts About The Iron Shear
Strengths and weaknesses of The Iron Shear place can be identified from the comments provided. The strengths include the availability of professional barbers, punctuality, a friendly and child-friendly environment, access to state-of-the-art tools and products, and a clean and peaceful barbershop. On the other hand, the weaknesses are related to the quality of service, particularly for those with straight hair, inconsistency in haircuts, high prices, lack of communication about pricing, and negative experiences with certain barbers.
One of the strengths highlighted is the availability of professional barbers, such as Cliff and Bowe. They are praised for their skill and ability to provide the requested haircuts. Clients appreciate their attention to detail and ability to work with different hair types. The barbers are described as punctual, indicating a commitment to providing efficient service. The emphasis on professionalism and sanitation is noted as a positive aspect of the barbershop.
The use of state-of-the-art tools and products is also highlighted as a strength. This suggests that the barbershop is invested in providing high-quality services and staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the industry. Additionally, the availability of booking apps and online platforms for scheduling appointments is seen as convenient and customer-oriented.
However, several weaknesses are also identified in the comments. One recurring complaint is the quality of service for people with straight hair. The comment mentions a bad haircut, uneven fades, and not cutting the top of the head properly. This indicates a lack of expertise and skill in dealing with straight hair textures. This weakness may limit the clientele who can have satisfactory experiences at The Iron Shear.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in haircuts. There are contrasting experiences, with some customers praising the barbers for their excellent work, while others express disappointment and dissatisfaction. This inconsistency suggests a lack of quality control and suggests that customers may not always receive the same level of service.
Price is also mentioned as a weakness of The Iron Shear. One customer mentions being charged $40 for a haircut, which they consider to be expensive. This could be seen as a significant drawback for potential customers who are looking for more affordable options.
Additionally, there is mention of a lack of communication about pricing. One customer states that the posted prices were not accurate, suggesting a lack of transparency. This can lead to customer dissatisfaction and surprise when they are charged a higher amount than expected.
Another weakness highlighted is the negative experience with a specific barber. The incident mentioned involves a barber named Chris, who appears to be inexperienced and unfamiliar with a particular hair type. The customer reports that not only was the haircut subpar, but there was also an accident where the barber cut off half of the customer's son's eyebrow. This negative experience raises concerns about the level of training and supervision of the barbers at The Iron Shear.
In conclusion, The Iron Shear place has strengths such as professional and punctual barbers, a child-friendly environment, access to state-of-the-art tools, and a clean barbershop. However, there are also weaknesses, including inconsistency in haircuts, difficulties in dealing with straight hair textures, high prices, lack of communication about pricing, and negative experiences with certain barbers. These weaknesses highlight areas for improvement and may impact potential customers' decision to patronize The Iron Shear place.

Do not go here if you have straight hair. I got butchered. The sides were not faded or even. In addition the barber didn’t even cut the top of my head. All that for $40. Apparently the posted sign for prices is “really old”. I went here hoping to make up for a prior terrible cut but somehow this place charged more and did a worse job.
Hello I am a barber at The Iron Shear. If you need a haircut PLEASE BOOK WITH ME on Instagram @ Cliff_thebarber and/or The-Cut-App where you will have access to my appointment books. I have a large clientele so I am usually not able to take walk ins (not to discourage walk ins but why waste gas when you can check my availability on your phone ????????????).

Cliff’s been cutting my hair for severals months now. Straight silky hair like mine is not easy to cut. He’s been doing an amazing job. He’s friendly, patient and extremely skilled. I highly recommend!
Before my hair cut my hair was long enough to reach just past my eyebrows. I asked for a medium fade and a 1/4 inch off the top. He pulled out clippers which I assumed was for the sides. Before I realized what he was doing he had buzzed the top of my head down to about an inch and a half on the top.
Charged me 40 bucks, Don't go here.
Barber named "bow" is a excellent barber. He is always on time for the appointments I made and has a flexible schedule for his other client's. He gives you the haircut you ask for and the results are well worth the money. Overall the barbershop is nice, sanitary, and peaceful.
I am new to the area and took a chance on Iron Shear. My barber was Bowe and he was OUTSTANDING. He listened to my request and gave me a cut that was exactly what I requested! My plan is to return and make them my preferred barbershop! Pleasant, clean, professional, and EFFICIENT. I don’t like waiting endlessly because I am self-employed and have limited time. Iron Shear/Bowe is an excellent shop that handles appointments respectfully and with very little wait-time. You can’t go wrong with them!
My barber, Cliff, showed up 15 minutes early prior to the shop opening to ensure I was able to have a fresh haircut before an important appointment. Talk about A+ service.
Imagine being in a bind, seeing the good reviews and choosing to patronize this business only to be so disappointed you're left in tears. Brought my 5 year old to get a shape up before his party after his usual barber fell ill. The young man, Chris, did the best he could but I got the feeling he is new to this and doesn't have much experience with my son's hair type. He appeared timid as he tried to pick his tight curls out , but did okay cleaning up and shaping up his line, though the fade in the back is pretty shaky.... but hey it was last min and they were getting us out of a bind. As they are finishing up an older barber came to assist and make the lines tighter, I suppose teaching Chris how to improve. Well...he may not want to teach anyone ANYTHING as he took off half my son's eyebrow!!!! Yes, His eyebrow!!!!! The day before his party and he has half an eyebrow! They did offer to take " some off" the cut but c'mon what am I supposed to do with the trauma my son (who was grimacing as it happened and when we stepped outside yelled, "My eyebrow!!!!") experienced? Hopefully he isnt afraid of barbers now. So much for pictures at his party. Never again will we set foot in this establishment nor would I recommend to anyone.
