Quick Facts About Hollywood Nails
Hollywood Nails has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one person mentioned that the nail technicians are cool and funny. This indicates that the staff members have good interpersonal skills and can create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for customers. Additionally, another comment mentioned that the prices are reasonable and there is never a wait. This suggests that Hollywood Nails offers competitive pricing and efficient service, which can be attractive to customers who value both affordability and convenience.
However, there are also several weaknesses that were pointed out in the comments. One customer mentioned that during their pedicure, the technician was on the phone the whole time and didn't provide proper service, such as using the jets in the pedicure bowl. This indicates a lack of attentiveness and professionalism on the part of the staff. Another comment stated that the salon is dirty and lacks proper sterilization procedures for their equipment. This is a major concern as cleanliness and hygiene are crucial in a nail salon.
Several comments also mentioned issues with the pricing and service of Hollywood Nails. One customer felt they were overcharged for a full set of nails with gel polish, as the price was higher than what was advertised. This suggests a lack of transparency and consistency in pricing, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction. Another customer described a negative experience where they were locked in the shop and treated poorly by the staff. This indicates a lack of professionalism and customer service skills.
The comment about the shop's method of handling appointments also raises concerns. The fact that they have one person for prearranged appointments and another for walk-ins, with a slow and inefficient process of getting names from the walk-in list and calling customers, suggests a disorganized system that can lead to long wait times and frustration for customers.
Another weakness mentioned is the poor quality of work. One customer had their nails done with thickness issues and had to pay another salon to fix them. They also mentioned that the salon lacked social skills and passion, suggesting a lack of professionalism and dedication to providing quality service.
Based on these comments, it can be concluded that Hollywood Nails has weaknesses in terms of customer service, cleanliness, pricing transparency, and the overall quality of their work. These weaknesses can greatly impact the overall satisfaction and loyalty of customers. Improvements should be made in these areas to enhance the reputation and success of the salon.

I got a pedicure and the lady was on the phone the whole time and I paid extra for the sea salt lavender scrub and barely massaged my feet. Very unsatisfied and they didn't use the jets in the pedicure bowl. My 12 year old could've done a better job. Will not be going back.
I used to love going to Hollywood nails to get my nails done and my feet done until it started being all day experience I'll go to Hollywood nails be there from when they open but wouldn't get out of there until about closing sometime or you have to go back it's like a whole day job and you're not getting paid so I've been looking for me another nail salon
The nail techs are so cool and funny. Love there prices and never a wait.
Would never go here again. I am new to the area and found this place on Google and it had decent reviews so I decided to give them a try. Came in for a full set with gel polish. I should have turned around after seeing the location. They had a poor selection of gel polishes and they were all just mixed in on the wall. I wasn’t happy with the color I had to settle on. We get all the way through the acrylic application and the guy working on me tells me my nails would be $65 for regular polish and $75 if I wanted gel. My mouth dropped because I’d never paid that much for a basic full set. I pointed out that the price they have posted says “Full set+ gel - $38 and UP. They told me that basically the price ranges from $38 all the way to $80 depending on the length, which it also did not list the pricing for different lengths. So I asked, OK so how much extra?? An extra $5, extra $10, $15?? How did we get to $65 for nails that have never been considered XL at any other places. The guy started yelling saying, “ Lady, I worked on your nails for an hour its not going to be $38”. He reached for my hand to try and clip my nails! I didn’t want my nails for $38 but I was unwilling to pay $65, let alone $75 for this set especially if its just a made up price. I wasn't irate or disrespectful throughout any of my visit. A lady came over and tried explaining that when they put a tip on, for that length its $80 and the shorter they are the price goes down…. Ok thats weird.. Never heard of that before. Anyways, there was no negotiating, the lady said “Ok we will just call the police since you don’t want to pay.” And then locked me in the shop. WOW. She told them on the phone that they needed
to hurry because they were afraid I'd break the door down and mentioned that I was black. Police arrive, they explain their story, I explain mine.. police are all confused. I emphasized that I was not refusing to pay all together but NOT willing to pay $65. The lady said the lowest they will take is $55 and it had to be cash! She was refusing to accept my debit card and asked the police for my DLN?? So finally after the transaction is complete I ran from there as fast as I could…. With my UNPAINTED nails :( Distraught over what had just occurred. I would happily spend my $65/$75 at a much nicer UPDATED salon with a better selection of polishes.
Place is very dirty. They want you to wear a mask and none of their equipment is Sterl
Be careful.
They did a good job on my nails but I'm not a fan of how they run the business. One lady did prearranged appointments and the other did walk-ins. You had to come to the shop to get your name on the walk-in list then they called you on the phone when your name came up. This made service sooo slow for a lot of people. I got there fairly early in the day and only had to wait for 1 person before me but some people waited for hours before they got a phone call. Like I said, although my nails are nice, I don't think I'll be playing my chances with this shop again.
Vivian did sooooo good I’m totally impressed !!❤️
Wanted pedicure and nails. Was told noone could pedicure. So said just nails.were.fine. the guy got aggravated that wanted old.set taken off and new set put in. Previously had ombre didnt want to keep it. He rushed my nails and made them so thick it likes almond halves on my nails. This is the 2nd time it has happened to me at this location. . I asked for short coffin only to be told no cant do that. Every other places does, though. Was sadly disappointed. Had to pay another salon $35 to fix my nails. They even said why is it so thick your not a man!? Used to go here faithfully on my 20's. Now I'm 45 think they need to retire. Their passion is gone, no social skills, and now shotty work.
