Quick Facts About Davis Nails & Spa
Davis Nails & Spa is a salon that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some patrons have had positive experiences at the salon, others have expressed great disappointment with the service and quality of work. In order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of Davis Nails & Spa, the comments provided will be examined and analyzed.
Starting with the strengths of Davis Nails & Spa, many customers have praised the friendly and attentive staff. Several reviewers mentioned that everyone at the salon is nice and attentive to their needs. This demonstrates that the salon has a strong customer service culture and is focused on ensuring the satisfaction of its clients. In addition, numerous customers have appreciated the gentleness of the staff during manicures and pedicures, noting that they do not file too much or cut them, which indicates a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Moreover, customers have mentioned that the salon is accommodating and flexible with scheduling appointments. Many reviewers have stated that even last-minute appointments are scheduled without any issues. This showcases the salon's commitment to providing convenience and meeting the needs of its customers. Additionally, some customers have praised the cleanliness and organization of the salon, emphasizing the attention to detail in maintaining a hygienic environment.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that customers have mentioned in their reviews of Davis Nails & Spa. One recurring complaint is the decline in quality after a change in ownership. Multiple customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the new management, noting that prices have increased substantially and the service has declined. Some customers have mentioned that the new owners have raised the prices significantly, making the services less affordable. This demonstrates a lack of value-for-money and may deter potential customers from choosing Davis Nails & Spa.
Furthermore, there have been complaints about the quality of the work done at the salon. Some customers have mentioned that their nail polish started to chip within a few days, even though they had previously had long-lasting results. This inconsistency in quality raises concerns about the skill level and attention to detail of the technicians. Additionally, one customer complained about the thickness of the acrylic used during their fill, suggesting that the technicians may not always adhere to customer requests or preferences.
Another weakness that emerged from the comments is the lack of customer satisfaction and empathy demonstrated by some staff members. One customer mentioned that they were unhappy with their nails but were charged extra to fix them, despite there being no design as claimed by the salon. The staff member allegedly responded rudely and dismissed the customer's concerns. This highlights a lack of professionalism and customer-centric approach on the part of the staff.
In conclusion, Davis Nails & Spa has strengths such as friendly and attentive staff, gentle services, flexibility in scheduling appointments, and a clean environment. However, there are notable weaknesses, including declining quality under new ownership, substantial price increases, inconsistent results, and a lack of customer satisfaction and empathy from certain staff members. These weaknesses have the potential to negatively impact the salon's reputation and customer retention. Improvements in these areas are necessary for Davis Nails & Spa to enhance its strengths and regain the trust and loyalty of its customers.

I’ve been coming here for over two years and everyone there is so nice and listens to your needs. I usually get no chip on my real nails. They’re so gentle with my manicures and don’t file too much or cut me at all like other places have. I don’t have a specific person I go to because everyone there is amazing !! They always schedule me in even if it’s last minute.
I have been a loyal customer to this place since it opened in 2020. I ALWAYS get the same service, no chip manicure and no chip pedicure and pay $75. However, I went last Monday 6/27 and by Wednesday 6/29 two of my nails were already chipping! Which has never happened before. I should've known it was going to be a disaster when I walked in and realized they were under new ownership. Not to mention I got the exact same thing as always and paid $90 for the worst quality work I've ever received. I DO NOT recommend you waste your money here, you will be VERY disappointed.
Although the prices are slightly higher (isn't everything, though) I'm very happy with the quality of my dip nails that I got a WEEK ago. No chipping and still shiny. Dropped down to 4 stars instead of 5 because my previous dip wasn't as awesome. I'll continue coming here.
First time coming here for a no chip Mani/pedí for a wedding. Everything was very clean and organized, they were very detailed with both Mani and Pedi.
New management is so obvious, their prices are crazy…. And their service nothing compared to Davis…. I went in with my mom 2 pedicures and 1 full set for myself what would have been $150 ish now was $210!!! They’re even charging callous removal $5 each. Really?! And all that only to not like my full set cause it’s so badly done, not rough polish like I’m not paying for my service. I’m assuming it’s the new owner, kicked my mom off of the massaging chair…unsatisfied; will take my business elsewhere and will get my nails fixed somewhere else
My mani/pedi was $90 which is the most I've paid. My manicure was a no chip with nail design and I did upgrade from the regular pedicure to a higher package. The service was great though. It's been over a week and unlike other places I've gone to, my nails look as good as the day I got them done. I took a picture in of a design I found online and they matched it exactly.
New owners RAISED THE PRICES SUBSTANTIALLY!!! I used to pay $35. for a fill, they now charge $45. I asked the nail tech to put a very thin layer of acrylic and he did not listen. The acrylic is ridiculously thick!!
The staff seems miserable, no one talks or smiles with the exception of Jenny who gave me my pedicure. She was very nice and did a good job...but still not worth the price increase.
I could not be more disappointed...I loved Davis
Nails when it was owned by Davis. I will not be returning!!
They told me they could not do designs on my nails so I settled for a French tip that I said I wanted thin. He did not do thin. I expressed to them that I'm still not happy with my nails and I wanted to schedule an appointment to fix my nails and they told me he would charge me to fix them because he technically did a design. I uploaded a picture to show there is no design. When I told him I don't think I should have to pay he said too bad go somewhere else and hung up on me. Rude and do not care about customer satisfaction.
