Quick Facts About J Cut Barber Shop
J Cut Barber Shop has received mostly positive comments, indicating several strengths of the place. One of the most prominent strengths is the affordability of the haircuts. Many customers appreciate the fact that they don't have to pay $40 or more for a haircut, as J charges only $20. This factor makes the barber shop a more affordable option for those who don't want to spend a large amount of money on a haircut.
Another strength mentioned by multiple customers is the quality of the haircuts. There are several comments expressing satisfaction with the cuts received at J Cut Barber Shop. Customers have been getting good cuts there for years, which suggests consistency and reliability in the barber's skill. The barber is said to know how to make a nice fade and take his time to get it right. This skill and attention to detail contribute to the overall positive customer experience.
Efficiency is another strength mentioned in the comments. Although there is usually a slight wait depending on the number of people before you, the presence of one barber and another lady helping with cleanup allows the process to be relatively fast and efficient. This ensures that customers don't have to spend excessive time waiting for their turn.
The simplicity and straightforwardness of the barber shop is also considered a strength. Several customers appreciate the fact that the barber is not talkative and instead focuses on cutting hair. This appeals to those who prefer a more no-nonsense approach to haircuts, where they can simply go in, get their hair cut, and leave without engaging in excessive conversation. This preference contributes to the positive experience for these customers.
The availability and flexibility of J Cut Barber Shop is another strength. Several customers mention that the barber's hours are great and that he is accommodating in squeezing in clients even without appointments. This indicates a level of customer-oriented service and a willingness to cater to the needs of clients, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer expressed disappointment with the result of their haircut, as it did not match their desired style. This suggests that there may be instances where the barber may not fully understand or execute the requested style, potentially leading to customer dissatisfaction. Additionally, it is mentioned that the barber's English is not perfect, which may contribute to miscommunication and misunderstandings regarding desired haircuts.
Another weakness raised by one customer is the perceived discrimination based on race or ethnicity. The customer mentions feeling unwelcome and denied service due to not being Asian. If true, such discrimination is a significant weakness and a violation of ethical practices, as it creates an exclusionary environment and can drive away potential customers.
In conclusion, J Cut Barber Shop has strengths in terms of affordability, quality of haircuts, efficiency, simplicity, and availability. However, there are some weaknesses related to potential miscommunication and discrimination. It is important for the barber shop to address these weaknesses in order to continue providing a positive customer experience and to attract and retain a diverse clientele.

If you don’t want to pay $40+ for a cut out in the valley anymore come here. J charges $20, + a tip(up to you). They were polite and gave me what I asked for. A low fade and trim on top. I’d recommend showing them a picture, their english isn’t perfect. Simple, fast and you are able to wash your hair on your own afterwards no extra charge. This will be my new spot.
Since there is one barber there is a slight wait depending on how many people are before you. Another lady helps clean up and there are two chairs, so it's pretty efficient. I had a great first experience here. The barber knows how to cut hair.
Been getting good cuts here for over 5 years.
Make that 8 years now.
One other thing I like besides the good cuts is that he is not a talkative barber. We exchange hellos, he goes about his business, I thank him when done and we exchange goodbyes.
This place seemed great, tv in front of you to watch. But the one and only barber there, I asked him for a MID bald fade. And this is what i got. Its a high fade and the fade has long hairs that werent cut. Not a bad cut but not what I wanted, I know how to explain my haircut to barbers so not sure how he messed it up. Prob wont go back
I love this barber, stopped trying out new barbers ever since I found him. His cuts are affordable and he knows how to make a nice fade. His hours are great and even if you don’t make an appointment, he’ll find a way to squeeze you in his schedule.
I have been going to J for the past 3 years. He's great, quick, friendly, and I love the vacuuming of your hair after the cut -- less itchiness for your drive home.
Overall, exactly where you want to go for a simple barber.
Happy with the two haircuts I have received. Recommend showing a picture so he knows exactly what you want. Good price, J takes his time to get it right. Weekdays in the afternoon are usually no wait.
I went to the barbershop in patiently waiting for my turn. I called before arriving and they told me how much they charge so I decided to stop by. So as I got closer, the barber tells me he cannotshsbr my face. I asked him why and he told me go to another barbershop. I guess if you are not Asian then you are not welcome and denied service.
