Quick Facts About Landing Zone
Landing Zone Place, located at Cannon Air Force Base, has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentioned that it is the best Air Force club they have ever been to. They praised the food, stating that it was spectacular, and appreciated the staff's pride in their work. Another positive aspect highlighted by a customer is the drink specials offered at the club, mentioning that they have them all the time. This could be appealing to those looking for a good deal on drinks. Additionally, one customer enjoyed the Easter brunch at Landing Zone Place, suggesting that they offer special events and menus for holidays, enhancing the customer experience.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the scratch-made gumbo and shrimp poboy they had. This implies that the food at Landing Zone Place includes a variety of options, including Southern-inspired dishes. Providing diverse food choices can be a positive feature for customers who enjoy trying different types of cuisine.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint is the inconsistency in their hours of operation. A customer mentioned that the opening time provided on the internet did not reflect the actual opening time, leading to inconvenience and disappointment. Consequently, a suggestion is made to update the website with accurate information to keep customers informed.
Another negative point raised by a customer is the limited selection of food offered at Landing Zone Place. They described it as simple, normal bar food that serves as an accompaniment to drinks, rather than standout dishes. Additionally, the wait time for such a limited selection is criticized, indicating that the service could be more efficient and expedient. Furthermore, the prices are perceived as high for the type of food being offered, raising concerns about value for money.
One customer mentioned that on Friday nights, Landing Zone Place experiences high volumes of guests, resulting in long lines. Waiting 15 minutes in a single file line just to order a beer is considered excessive. Despite the prices being reasonable, the inconvenience of waiting in line seems to outweigh the benefits.
Another complaint is that Landing Zone Place does not stay open late on weekdays. This is seen as a missed opportunity for those on temporary duty assignments (TDY) who are looking for alternative dining options. The desire for another place to eat outside of regular hours reflects a potential gap in the offerings provided by Landing Zone Place.
In summary, Landing Zone Place has its strengths and weaknesses. Positive attributes include their exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and special events including drink specials and brunch. The menu also offers some notable dishes, such as scratch-made gumbo and steak. However, there are areas for improvement, such as updating their website with accurate opening hours, expanding their food selection, addressing long wait times during peak hours, and extending their operating hours on weekdays. By addressing these weaknesses, Landing Zone Place could further enhance the customer experience and satisfaction.

Spent the night at Cannon air force base billeting. On the Internet says that it opens at 8 o’clock in the morning. Walked over to get breakfast and all the doors were locked. If the hours have changed, I understand. But you need to update your website so Travelers will know this
Selection is very limited. Simple, normal bar food is the best way to explain the type of food here. You know, the food you get that plays second course to the beer you're having. Wait is longer than necessary considering such a limited selection. Way too expensive for simple bar food.
Friday night this place is busy and would be a good time, but waiting 15 min in a single file line to order a beer is too much. Prices were good but not enough to offset the line.
This is the best Air Force club I have ever been to. The food was spectacular and the staff took a lot of pride in what they do. Great customer service and attention to detail.
The steaks were a nice change from defac food until they stopped letting you have them on meal card.
Had some scratch made gumbo today and a shrimp poboy. Southern friendly.
It's the Club, they have drink specials all the time. Their Easter brunch was great.
Decent chicken quesadilla. Too bad they aren't open later on weekdays. Would love to have another place to eat when TDY.
